The worker's name is Ken. He did a very bad job -- he acutally did not any cleaning of the furname, nothing was taken out and nothing was cleaned. he simply told us that he 'tuned' the efficiency. Not a single part of the furnace was even touched. He asked to use bulkhead to get into/out the basement. It was pouring when he was in basement, however, he left the bulkhead open during the time when he was there, and after he left, we saw water came into from the blukhead and the floor get wet. After Ken's 'cleaning', we called other company to check the furnace and we were told the furnace has not been cleaned for a long time! Then we spend $200 to have the other company redo the cleanining which really cleaned the furnace.

We found a large amount of water leaking from our hot water. Kerivan Lane sent a plumber within 2 hours. He was very pleasant, explained what the problem was and fixed it quickly. He also labelled the pipes as to what they all were-with bright yellow tags. It was helpful to see what is what down there.

Really well- how often can you say that? Truly, the contractors worked hard to place the equipment where we wanted it. The job was expertly done- its hard to say that a boiler and hot water heater look beautiful, but really, they do- but more importantly, everything is running very well. I am also very confident that if something does not run well in the future, that they would be very responsive in addressing the issue immediately. If you are looking to have a new boiler and/or heating system installed, I would highly recommend using Kerivan-Lane. You will not be disappointed.

After a couple of years of trouble with another company, I contacted Kerivan-Lane to address a repair issue with my gas boiler. They were prompt. The installation went very smoothly, taking 2 days. We had hot water back by the end of day one . (We weren't concerned about heat since the installation took place in July.) The installers Gene Gutu and Ron Reitz seemed to be very familiar with the Buderus products and gave us a quick tutorial on how to program the 2107 at the end of day 2. Assembling the circulators and piping looked like a big 3-dimensional jigsaw puzzle; I watched them a little at the beginning and noticed they had well over a hundred pieces to connect together in just the right way. The only downside is that the new unit takes up about 1 1/2 times as much space as the old one, partially because of the extra piping required for the outside air intake and partially because it was reoriented to make it easier to service. We're hoping to reduce our fuel usage by at least 20% next year due to the higher efficiency of the new unit and the versatility of the 2107 control system. Kerivan-Lane was very price competive with their quote, substantially underbidding a couple of other vendors, and worked very well with the MassSave CSG rebate/loan program, enabling me to further reduce the overall cost.
