Tom showed up on time and proceeded right to work. They had another person to show up and remove the old water heater and bring the new one in. The job was complete in about two hours. He was very thorough and had his own checklist to verify as well.

There is room for improvement in the speed of their quotes. It took them almost 2 months to get a quote to me. However, overall I was very happy with their service. The installation team was amazing and very prompt and informative. Everyone was articulate, gentlemanly, patient, well-spoken, respectful, thorough, and responsive.

The Fujitsu ductless system was installed in our workshop. We have heated the shop with a woodstove in the past and I love the way the new system heats so quickly and quietly. I'm looking forward to using the AC feature during the hot weather! It was great that the installation only took one day. Phil, the technician, was on time and very considerate of our work space. He discussed the placement of the indoor and the outdoor unit with me, so there were no surprises. The unit is sleek - almost unnoticeable in the room and I can hardly hear it when it's running. The ductless system is going to save us lots of money on our heating and cooling bills and provide us with a super comfortable place to work! After the system was installed, Phil even took the time to make some repairs to our leaky faucet and water heater. Thank you Phil and Kerivan-Lane! Good job!

Kerivan-Lane got everything exactly right. I didn't like the fact that we needed space heaters for four days, but that was my fault for doing this job in November. What triggered the conversion was our first oil bill for the winter. It was over $500 per month on a 10 month contract. That was a 30% jump from the previous year, and I had had enough. Two people came over from K-L. They measured the radiators, measured the house's square footage, examined the existing gas meter (and explained that we would need a bigger one), and spent a lot of time with me explaining the whats, whys, and hows to come. They didn't sugar-coat the job. When they started, they sent a Master plumber and an assistant in addition to the tank removal crew. Because the job went over the weekend, we had a lost day, but they did work on one of the two weekend days. The work performed in the new gas piping was meticulous (I watched a lot). And during the final hookup at the new boiler, the Master plumber caught a whiff of gas coming from our on-demand water heater. He had found a tiny leak in the piping! And this was not his work. He quickly fixed the problem and kept on working. I wasn't home for the final inspection by the Boston inspectors, but everything went perfectly and we flipped the switch on the new system. It was so quiet. Although our oil system had been put in by us only 25 years ago, I was pretty sure that this was the right decision. With the new boiler came new circulating pumps for both zones in our 100 year old house. We have lived here for 30 years, and this is the first time that we have had a fully warm radiator in our third floor room. Thanks Kerivan-Lane.

Water heater let loose on Sunday, called on Monday morning, and they were there Monday late morning. Wonderful service.

I called Kevin McClay on Wed, 08 Feb 12 to obain an estimate to replace a leaking boiler. He was willing to do it that day. I was unable be there. Kevin reviewed the situation the next day, Thr, 09 Feb 12. He provided me with an estimate the same day. The estimate was the most competitive one that I received. On Fri, 11 Feb 12 I asked when the work could be done and was told that they could do it on Mon, 13 Feb 12. On Mon, 13 Feb 12 the installation was completed. The work was very high quality. Throughout the process Kevin and those who supported him could not have been any more courteous and professional. It is incredible that they were able to turn this project around so fast - four working days.

I was very pleased. I had 3 other companies that were listed in Angie's List come out and he was the only one able to help me with out installing a new compressor in my A/C unit. He provided a great estimate and did a great job. He asked a lot of questions but made sure he fixed the problem without having to replace the entire A/C and heating unit. He was extremely professional and was right on time. The tech who did the duct work was even there early.

This was my first experience with Kerivan Lane, and they were fantastic. We wanted to replace our old boiler, which was horribly inefficient, and our old hot water tank. We also wanted to reconfigure a downstairs basement heating zone that had long since been disconnected. We got estimates from 3 companies. All had comparable costs, but 2 seemed to have really outstanding recommendations, and we chose Kerivan Lane because they were local and gave a really detailed and clear estimate of the work and scope. It took about 3-4 days to remove the old boiler and hot water units and install the new ones. A major part of the job was re-wiring and putting new plumbing around these units, since the old wiring and pipes was a complete mess. Then they worked for a few more days on reconfiguring the basement heating zone. Mike was the main installer, and he showed up on time each day and did extremely diligent and detailed work. Every night he left a clean workspace. Kerivan Lane took care of all the permit requirements. On the last day of the job, they had arranged for the town inspector to come look at the equipment. He gave it his seal of approval and was impressed with the quality of work. During this process, we also had to put a new chimney liner into our chimney. We had an 3rd party chimney man install that, and while he did good work he did not have the proper license needed to get a permit in our town. So Kerivan Lane, even though they didn't do the chimney work and had no obligation to get involved, offered to use their license to pull the permit and close the ticket on the chimney liner. Kerivan Lane also provided all the necessary paperwork needed to apply for energy rebates through the Mass Save program. Overall, I had a great experience with this company. Everyone who came to the house and everyone I talked with on the phone was professional and took great pride in their craft. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any heating project.

Team A was the primary installer who brought a team with him to remove the old system and bring in the new one thorough the front door!( No bulkhead) clean, courtesy professional like a well oiled machine.

I got several quotes, Kerivan-Lane, came out to assess the situation, gave me a bill he had in writing. We scheduled a mutually convenient time for installation. Helped coordinate the whole process including the installation of gas line to house and all permits and inspections from the town of Newton.

We had a very good experience and quick turnaround. I highly recommend them. David and Gene did a great job, started at 7am and did not stop until finished at 6:30pm so we had heat AND hot water by the end of the day :) when they left the place was beautiful (if you can call a boiler in the basement beautiful) Thank you again

It went very smoothly. Everyone was polite and responsive.

Kerivan-Lane sent a technician out to fix the leak that was caused by a poor installation (not Kerivan Lane), bled, and refilled our hyrdo air system with proper water/anti-freeze mixture. Also fixed some flow check valves that were corroding. Called ahead of time to tell us when coming, had to get some parts and came back promptly. Clean and professional service...even a call 2 days later to be sure all was still working (i.e., no more leak).

Tom and another guy showed up on time, did a very good job, left the place clean. The company was willing to match a lower offer by another company.

Very good experience and quick turnaround. I highly recommend them. The team of installers did a great job and kept the work space clean and organized at the end of the day. The team ensured the heating system and hot water was functioning as expected and were nice guys. The owner came by to check on the last day to ensure everything was satisfactory. The only glitch was a communication problem that was quickly resolved. We will call on Kerivan-Lane for all our heating and plumbing needs going forward.

This outfit is disorganized. Been trying to get these guys to look at my non-functional heating system for weeks, and it ain't getting warmer outside. Between the no call backs and the general lack of internal organization with regards to scheduling new customers, I don't think they care about my business. So, on to the next person on the list.

K-L has been a pleasure to deal with from the start. From my first phone call, they've made everything easy. Mike, the technician who came out to inspect our tank and burner, was a pleasure to work with -- very knowledgeable and extremely nice. We are very pleased with our decision to retain Kerivan-Lane and look forward to working with them going forward
