Was happy with their work for the water heater replacement. Was charged $50 more than quoted, but was supposed to take care of a couple of other issues so not a deal breaker. Forgot to have the tools on the truck to clear a drain and fix my shower, so promised to return the following week. Never showed when scheduled (I had taken an additional day off work to be there). Wouldn't return my call or text. I'd recommend them, but don't pay them fully until all work is complete.

Life saver! Ken and his son took my job and showed up the next day. My basement is short, and to vent my water heater outside versus using the chimney is complicated. Other professionals quoted me thousands of dollars above what I spent with Coastal plumbing. I was amazed at the detail and safety that went into the job and I knew I was working with professionals with many years of expertise. After considerable comparing and contrasting replacement costs for a gas water heater, it was clear that Coastal Plumbing and Heating are an ethically-driven business model. The first quote I received included costly replacement items germane according to the first quote. When compared to and discussed with Coastal Plumbing and Heating not only were the so-called necessary add-ons unnecessary, the cost was dramatically reduced. Retaining Coastal saved me $2,718.45. Both quotes were for the exact same brand replacement tank. And . . . this is important they arranged their schedule to come the same day they were contacted after hearing I did not have hot water for 3 days. Should there be future plumbing issues in my home, I wouldn't hesitate to call Ken, the owner and licensed plumber of Coastal Plumbing and Heating. Ken and his son worked together, completed the work in a timely manner, no additional costs above the quoted amount and are very respectful. They did a great job replacing my electrical water heater, at a reasonable price. They did the job in less than 2 hours. Also took the old water heater with them. I definitely recommend them.
