DO NOT HIRE!!! This event occurred in Aug/Sept 2022 and specifically involved the employees Joseph Venuti, James Nadworthy, and Nicole Thomas. TLDR: they promised to repair our place by a date because my wife was rapidly approaching her due date. They cancelled our service without notice, never returned our trim, and James told me to F*ck Off

ServiceMaster by Gilmore did a fantastic job! They were timely. They had to do some demolition, but they kept it to minimum. They cleaned up beyond my expectations. They even made my toilet bowl sparkle! Upon arrival, the leader of the clean up team, handed me a business card and I thought that was really professional. I called them originally from a wonderful review I read on Angie's List, and they really lived up to those expectations. I'm glad I called them. I've had a different company come out in the past to do a similar job, and they didn't meet my expectations, but these guys were a totally different experience. I would highly recommend ServiceMaster by Gilmore.
Description of Work: I had a pipe back up in my bathroom downstairs, and it looked and smelled like a sewer.

My tenant townhouse got flooded. Per the management company manager's advice, the ServiceMaster was called to deploy the dehumidifiers. I was not around when they arrived. My tenant signed the paperwork. He did not know about the arrangement. So he went upstairs and let the crew do their job. He saw them having left after a few hours. Three days after that, I was at the unit letting the two men in to take the moisture measures and remove the dehumidifiers, which took them about 20 to 30 minutes to do. (They billed for 2 hours instead) They billed the management company instead of sending the bill to me. That was the agreement. So, no complaints are there. However, upon seeing the already paid bill, I found there were charges, quite substantial, for the work not requested. Moreover, with them already imposing the $200 fee for working after hours, all rates were inflated as well. What really made me angry was the exaggerated service hours and inclusion of some equipment charges that was not present in my house. I would say the bill is three times more what it should have been to for the services we agreed upon. The insurance company picked up a half of bill, so I stop pursuing the company after a few failed attempts to get them calling me back. In conclusion, this company is used to having the insurance companies to pay for their services. So, they are very expensive and seem to have high pay rate for every little thing. I would strongly advise against using them when you have to pay the bill out of your pocket.

Description of Work: Sewer pipe broke in basement of my house which I am renting out while I live overseas. SMGilmore was amazing to work with--they got a crew in right away, got a POD and emptied the basement, cleaned quickly and efficiently and emptied the POD back out. My insurance paid so I don't know about the price, but they didn't complain. I handled everything by email and they weren't phased. Top company in my book!!

Great service! The teams were hard working, kind, and left parts of my house cleaner than before they came. One crew chief was especially good at explanations. They were amazing at doing their work, while seemlessly working around my 2 curious kids and the plumber as we tried to piece the house together. While the handoff between manager's opinion of what to knock down and demolition crew wasn't 100% smooth, I really appreciated the candid feedback and discussion with the team where they disagreed with the manager. It was all very professional and positive. I can not comment on price as I have never had this type of work done before, and don't know that we'll even see the bill (I believe they'll bill insurance directly).
Description of Work: A pipe burst and water seeped onto 3 floors, including a few inches in our nice finished basement. They ripped up carpeting, installed 20 dryers and 5 dehumidifiers, then removed parts of ceilings and walls.

it went great except for joe ventui not calling be back with the company he said would put my walls back together and take care of two ceilings
Description of Work: i had water damage due to a pipe breaking.they came out and put in machines to dry up all the water.the came back 2-10-2011 and removes equipment took out all damaged walls and ceiling so as the people i hired to put it all back together again could do there work.the people i called at the office were very good.i had on proplem with joe ventue who came out to see what damage i had and what had to be removed.i called several times and he never called back but once.he told me he would have a company call be back to do the work and it never happened.he told me when he came out he would take care of everthing,it never happened.

They have a good staff. They came down and did the work. They are quick and efficient. They went from one room to another, one floor to another very quickly. They got rid of all the damage.
Description of Work: They cleared away smoke damage from a fire. They washed walls and ceiling. They took apart the kitchen. They cleaned every little thing in my house.
