Platinum did an excellent job for me. The project was the installation of a basement toilet. When the first estimate came in a little high, they sent another plumber by to see if they could do it for less money. We ended up with an excellent solution that made us both happy. It turned out that the toilet that they installed was cracked from the supply house. So right after installing it, they had to remove it and drive all over the place to find a replacement. Very happy with them.

For an industry that tends to be pretty old-school, it was fabulous to see they had adopted some modern customer service tech. Not only did they have on-site electronic payment as an option but when I need to check on the status of the visit (it happened during some rough weather), the person who answered the phone was able to check the worker's GPS location and let me know he was "11 minutes away". I credit them with saving me some money vs. a previous heating system guy. The previous guy told me I needed to have pre-winter maintenance done every year, but the Platinum Home Services guy clarified that with the system I have, I really only need to do it every second or third year -- the much of the annual work is something I can do myself. He even walked me through how to do it. He also showed me that I'd been keeping my boiler too full, that I was basically wasting heat (and thus money) warming up an amount of water that was more than what was needed -- the system has a device that automatically maintains the proper water level. That was a little frustrating to hear, given the guy who originally installed the system gave me the outdated advice that i need to check the water level manually and keep it at that much higher level.

Our technician, Jamie, was amiable and finished both the removal of the old toilet and installation of the new toilet very quickly. He even gave us a few tips and tricks. We'll keep in him in mind for any future work we might need done.

Comment: Way over priced. Blindsided by the cost to as they said stop a leak under the sink by tightening some loose screws. 15 minute work tops yet the bill was thru the roof and they wouldn't relent or see reason. Manager came on the phone who sounded harsher than the girl. Disappointing.

Hired them, arrived on time, told me it would cost $1000, took $500 check. New techs arrived two days later and said diagnosis was wrong --only cost $325 . Took inexcusable amount of time to get my refund back, after multiple promises from Crystal that it had gone out or was going out, Then heard from alleged owner that it takes silly amount of time to refund my money, even though it took them 24 hours to get mine. After all this, the unit crapped out again and I had to get another repair. Considering complaint w/ the AG
