Description of Work: Great job replacing our crumbling front stoop/entryway with granite. The price was reasonable and the finished product was beautiful.

Description of Work: They came in the week as promised and did a very good, reasonably priced project on my chimneys. Only complaint is that they didn't alert me to the level of dirt and ruble that would be generated in the attic.

Description of Work: Hi, We're more disappointed than anything. We chose American Made Masonry as |a A+ mason on Angie's list. The finish product was not what we were expecting |from the curve we discussed to the broom finish. There was concrete left to harden on our brand new Granite steps the side of our house, they cleaned out the equipment and left concrete residue all over our driveway,wall and front yard!!! |Jim's prompt responsiveness is what attracted us to him. We purposely waited 6 weeks to respond and list review as it's not our favorite thing to do. It has now been 72 hours since we notified Jim/American Masonry before we applied this review with no response. |Regards |Walter

Description of Work: Concrete slab patios (2) dig up and relay brick patio and created brick walkways to interconnect patios. Great job. Neat and efficient. Would recommend.

Description of Work: They repointed the mortar of our field stone basement. That entailed blowing out the old mortar and replacing it with new mortar, and rebuilding portions of the wall as needed. They basically did a good job. But in jobs like this, dust can be a very serious problem. Never having done this, don't know if there are better ways of getting rid of the old mortar, but dust rose up throughout the house, and needed a month of cleaning. Would highly recommend that anyone doing this check to see what dust control measures are available, and what will be used by a particular contractor.

Description of Work: I contacted them for some minor foundation repair work and got a response within a few days which was great. But the response was a short email asking for my address and that he would check it out next time he was in the area. I sent it to him even though I regretted it later, seemed a little weird and made me uncomfortable that he would just pop over unannounced which is how I interpreted the email. I haven't heard anything since, and it's been a couple months.

Description of Work: We bought a $500 coupon to repair steps to our lower yard which were dangerously broken. The mason called and said he visited the house and quoted a price. The date listed is an approximate date because we do not know when he actually looked at the property. He did not let us know when he was coming. He wanted to schedule the work without meeting us. We were not comfortable with this.

Description of Work: The job was repointing the inside and outside of the foundation. It was done very nicely without too much intrusion/annoyance. There were a couple times when information seemed to get lost between the person I was talking to and the people who were actually doing the work. Also there was some minor misunderstandings about what work was actually going to be done. But all in all pretty good.

Description of Work: They rebuilt the exterior foundation of our house, ground out all joints and repointed with acrylic fortified mortar. It went very well and has stood up over the last couple of years.

Description of Work: The brick stairs in the front of my house had been repointed several times but now needed a major overhaul. Jim was punctual and his proposal made sense and, after looking at his reviews, I gave him the job. He and his crew showed up on time and completed the work properly. I recommend him highly.
