+ -1 moreThe technician brought a new motor and installed everything in a reasonable time. The motor was quite expensive. Scheduling went well and he was able to come out within in a week of me calling. The has worked machine great ever since.

+ -1 morePaul came to fix my small size fridge. After a quick look, he said the fridge is working fine, and went on explaining what I did that's blocked the vent of the freezer. He arranged the food storage, and it worked beautifully. He went on and checked on my dish washer, found the detergent reservoir knob needed some work. He repaired all that on the spot without charging me the labor. He's good at what he does and very knowledgable in the hardware. I called another provider on Angies list, was told the they don't do small size fridge. Glad to have found Paul for the job.

+ -1 moreJonesy lives in the next town and he happened to have a little time free so he came right over an hour later. I could not remove the blown bulb in the freezer. Frankly, I was a little embarrassed to call an appliance repair guy, but was glad I did. He told me with newer refrigerators with electronic displays, if the bulb breaks, it can short out the mother board and turn into a costly repair. So I asked him to do it. He had a tough time but was able to remove the bulb without breaking it. While he was here, I had him clean the compressor and front grill. He suggested that you always put a little Vaseline on the threads of the bulb to prevent this problem in the future. Clearly, the original bulb had been over tightened and, as I saw on line, is not an uncommon problem. He was very personable and offers a $10 discount to Angie's List members. I will definitely use him again.

+ -1 morePaul Jones was very prompt in answering my call and he was at my house to check out my refrigerator a few days later, on a Saturday to accommodate my schedule. Water was collecting under the crisper bins. He checked everything out, cleaned the drain, and repositioned the refrigerator. He explained thoroughly why the water was collecting inside the refrigerator (the refrigerator was tilting forward so the freezer was not draining entirely through the drain, some was exiting through another area into the fridge). He also gave me some extra tips regarding a new stove I just purchased. Paul was right on time for the appointment and did a great fixing the fridge. I was also very impressed with his honesty.

+ -1 morePaul, was very accommodating of my schedule. He is particularly knowledgeable, in his field and demonstrated professionalism while at my home. During the service call he also, looked at another appliance in need of repair. He returned 2 days later to install, his pricing is extremely reasonable and he lets you know up front of all the losts. There were no surprises.
Description of Work: Freezer maintenance, cleaned out drain and dishwasher maintenance, replaced soap housing unit.

Description of Work: We noticed that the refrigerator wasn't cooling like in the past. Paul Jones of Jonesy's had left a flyer with us so we called him. He told us right away that a service call would cost $50.00 even if there was nothing he could do. He could tell almost immediately that the freezer wasn't defrosting, so that ice had accumulated blocking the flow of cold air into the refrigerator. After looking into it he found that the heating element had burned out, so he replaced it. He worked for a little over 3 hours. He gave us the option of saving some money by letting the freezer defrost by itself but we chose the faster route -to have him blowdry the ice and so defrost it. He was punctual, friendly and polite. He told us that he charged $60 an hour and explained that he had worked 28 years for an appliance service when the owner sold the business. It must be noted that another Jonesy's Appliance Service existed in Arlington, which he knew nothing about. He will probably have to change the name of his service.
