Joe did an amazing job clearing 4 dumptruck loads of snow from a busy business block in Harvard Square. He called me back within half an hour, came to the site immediately, and began work the same day. It was a tough job, in a tight space with a lot of pedestrian traffic, and a delicate brick paved roadway. Everything went perfectly and the results were everything we expected.

Joe was very responsive and polite and came promptly after I called him. He was very nice and set up expectations (what he could do with a large plow in a tight driveway), and kept me posted on his progress.

We have turned to Primo Paving after many big snow storms. Joe dug us out after our most recent blizzard, and we don't know what we would have done without him. He plowed out the front of our driveway, efficiently finding a place for a massive amount of snow that we could never have safely removed ourselves. His work was competent and timely. He is always courteous and we feel his price is very reasonable. I can highly recommend Primo for snow removal services.

It went very well. They were relatively inexpensive.

Everything went well so far. They paved a joined driveway with my neighbors. At first I was displeased with the unevenness, but after time has gone on it looks good. I did not like that he dismissed the complaint we had about the unevenness, he just kind of brushed it off like it was nothing. He did inform us that it would have to settle first.We have not been through a winter with the new driveway yet, but so far everything is looking great! 1/17/15 A year later we are very pleased with the results.

These guys are paving artists! Joe showed up in the morning with a two-man crew (including his father, who's also a veteran paver) and immediately went to work tearing out the old driveway, cleaning up the edges and improving the grading, and then laid down fresh gravel. After grading and compacting the gravel, they brought in a load of asphalt and repeated the grading, smoothing and compacting process. We had some tricky drainage issues that Joe resolved with invisible adjustments to the grading, and the result looks great and drains perfectly. Not surprisingly, of course, Joe usually has a long backlog of clients, so he can't always get to new jobs right away. We weren't in a hurry, but it did take Joe almost two months to get to our job. (Not a complaint--that's just the downside of working with a small, high-quality firm.) Joe also mentioned that he sometimes gets a *hundred* calls a day from Angie's List members who want him to bid on their jobs... and he doesn't always return calls right away. That seems to annoy some callers. But if you want a great job, just keep bugging him. It's worth the effort.

I'll begin by saying my husband and I are so grateful to have discovered Joe and his terrific team! When a deep hole appeared out of nowhere in our back yard (many months ago) , I dreaded the "diagnosis" and avoided dealing with it ... Following a really lousy morning yesterday (which included a different essential scheduled repair by a different service provider not being performed ), I decided the day couldn't get much worse- so might as well call someone for the bad news about the hole in the yard. I found Primo Paving's ad in our local phone book (didn't think of Angie at that moment), saw that they do just about every kind of outdoor work including excavation, and called. Joe answered immediately. Although he was several towns away, gave me the expected time of arrival for an estimate and arrived on the dot. In that initial visit he quickly found the cause of the hole (an ancient, unused septic system that was never removed), described the solution, suggested it would also be a perfect time for the tree and stump removal and offered to pull a crew together for today! In spite of having to hear the cost (which was indeed right in the ball park), Joe's visit turned our day around. We both had complete trust in him and his guarantees ( that rarely happens) and committed to go ahead with the work. That's when we discovered he's on Angie's List. Boy, was that the right decision! He arrived this morning as planned with his great crew: (The very young) Joe Sr., and hard-working Shane and Dakota. They got right to work and we got to see the culprit, the dry septic system. They did everything as planned , systematically and efficiently , and more (for example; added some loam to other spots they thought needed it!) We had to force them to take a little snack break. All in all, unlike yesterday morning, today was great. WE WILL DEFINITELY CALL PRIMO PAVING FOR OUR OTHER PENDING WORK AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, JOE!

Joe was terrific ! Two years ago, he was prompt in arriving and providing a quote. We decided not to do the work then and he honored the quote today. He thoroughly repaired the cracks and carefully seal coated the driveway. We highly recommend Primo Paving for their skilled professional work.

I called them and they did not return my call. I called them again and told them I was an Angie's List member. He said he would come out, and never showed up. I called him again, and he finally came out on a Sunday. He gave me a written estimate, and said he would get back to me in 2 weeks. I never heard from him again.

Their customer service frequently updating the customer needs work. I had to watch them every minute during the job. A few times they tried to cut corners so I had to step and tell them no this and that has to also be done.

Telephoned Joe and he came out that day and gave me an estimate. We agreed on a veryreasonable price and set a date to have the services performed. It rained that day, however they came out the next day and performed their service. All the employees were really friendly and the job was completed to my satisfaction. My driveway looks great. It looks as if I just got a new driveway. I will be using Primo Paving in the future for other work and this has already been discussed. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for excellent professional services.

I never heard back from Primo after my initial conversation with him. I called a second time about a week later, leaving voicemail again. Again, no contact back. Waste of time.

Had 3 estimates done to sealcoat a driveway that had been neglected. There was approximately 75 feet of cracks that needed to be sealed as well. Joe Deprimeo came out for the estimate within a few hours of calling (I am right down the street from his office location). He told me what they would do in regards to the scope of work and quickly gave me a quote for the work which seemed reasonable. His quote was well within the range of the other 2 estimates, one of which did not even give me a written estimate (just verbal). The one lower estimate (by $25) would not touch the grass growing through the wall. They said it was some kind of super grass and they could not remove it. Joe and his crew said that grass was tough, but did not add anything to the estimate. Because I was right down the street, Joe offered to do the job the day after I called him to do the job. The crew (with Joe) showed up just before 9am and were done in about a hour. The edged the grass back and were careful with the over-spray. They cut in all the edges to assure over-spray was not on undesirable items. Then they went over all the cracks with a crack sealer before laying down the sealcoating. Because they use a quick dry agent, the driveway was completely dry by around 11am. The driveway looks way better and the fact that it dried so fast sold me on Primo. When it comes time to re-pave the driveway, I will definitely give Primo a call to get it done. I would also point out that Joe was here for the entire job. If I had a question, he was right there to ask. Joe is an old school stand up guy that don't exist much anymore. I am quite sure that if I had an issue with his work he would do everything (within reason) to make it right.

We hired Joe to seal coat the driveway. Joe returned our initial call and provided an in-person estimate on the same day. The driveway was done 3 days later and done beautifully. While he was doing the seal coat, we discussed the pavers in a parking area adjacent to the driveway that were out of alignment and missing all the sand grouting. A week later, the pavers were re-sanded. So all work was done quickly and professionally in a very timely way. We would hire Joe again.

I looked up the service on Angie's List, found Primo which had the most good reviews, called and got an estimate the same day. I was pleased with the price called Joe back in the morning and it is now 2:00 p.m. and the work is done and done well! Cannot ask for more, quality, service and price. I would recommend to anyone.

irI was very happy with the services Joe, at Primo, provided. He gave me an estimate right away and was able to do the work once I was ready. He was easy to deal with and very honest. The job was much bigger than expected but he did the work as estimated and did not charge more. I would HIGHLY recommend him. The work was excellent and his crew was very good too! I will recommend him to everyone in Back Bay that needs drain repair and parking lot paving and repair. The other estimates I got included police detail and permits I did not need!! The other people I spoke to about the job wanted to charge me 5 times more and do a much more extensive job even though I did not want this! Joe listened to what I said and what I wanted and did it!

Couldn't have gone better. Three days after calling two trucks and four employees showed when promised with the boss and did a first rate job. Two neighbors then hired them on the spot after seeing how good their work was. Couldn't recommend them more highly

Joe Deprimeo fixed snowplow damage to driveway on short notice during winter. Patch has held up.

I decided to pay someone to seal my driveway because it was developing cracks that were growing in size. I haven't had much success getting crack-filler to stick so I decided to get a professional for the first time. I received two quotes, and although this company was slightly higher price, I appreciated my conversation with Joe and decided to go with him. He is a stand-up guy and that means a lot when venturing into the unknown. The job he did was very good. They edged the driveway well and 99% of the crack filler is still in place. No splatter on any concrete or plants. Way better than the jobs I've done myself in the past! The only criticism I would have is it took about a month to come to my house to do the job. Part of that was due to weather but there were a couple windows of nice weather that weren't taken advantage of, and I was always the one calling them instead of the other way around. But it's not like it was an urgent job and in the end I was happy with the work.

Thank you, Angie, for connecting me with Joe of Primo Paving. I left a voicemail on Joe's answering service early on a Saturday morning. I heard back within 1 hour and Joe was at my door within 2.5 hours to look at my driveway, give me a little tutorial on how he would do the job and offer me an estimate. The next Friday I sent in a signed copy of the contract and the following Tuesday my driveway was completed. Joe took time to tell me, and provide me with a written contract, that he would remove and dispose of the existing driveway, install a new driveway using more than 2" of crushed stone and 2.5" of finish top, followed by power roll with 4 ton vibratory roller. Joe said that he does not use re-processed asphalt and explained why. Joe obviously takes great pride in his work and rightfully so. Joe told me some questions to ask other companies I would check with for sake of bids and these questions certainly gave me more confidence and understanding of what I wanted. On the day of the work, Joe showed up with his crew of about 6 people. They were on time. Joe had told me that they would be able to get the job done in one day but I was a bit skeptical. I had arranged for a police detail because my street is very busy and I did not want any problems. Joe said he had worked with police details before and when I spoke with the officer during the day, he mentioned how courteous and friendly Joe and his crew were. The officer also mentioned that he was very impressed with what he was seeing and would contract Joe and Primo Paving if ever he did his driveway. When I stopped by from work during the day, Joe and his crew were very much engaged in their task. They manifested humor and a real sense of a great work ethic. Joe was as engaged as much as his team in really diligent work. Joe's team certainly seemed to respect Joe. The job was completed toward the end of the afternoon. It looks great and my neighbors have complimented the work done. Besides the great job and professionalism of Joe and his team, I am particularly impressed with how kind Joe was to my mother when meeting her. He takes pride in his work but he also has a very good way about him as a person. I found his estimate and tutorial very fair and enlightening - a sign of his integrity. As I mentioned, Joe takes deserved pride in his work and I take pride in my new driveway. I very highly recommend Joe DePrimeo and Primo Paving.

On the day of the service, the crew arrived on time and diligently started the work. All necessary materials arrived on time and there was very little disruption to traffic and to the neighbors. I was pleased. This company managed two gigantic trucks of asphalt and some very heavy equipment with ease and efficiency. You could tell the crew was well trained and knew who was responsible for what; they worked well as a unit. The work was completed on time and the finished product is superior in quality. The detail of the lines of the driveway, the way it is level, and its overall appearance enhance the curb appeal of my home. Oh, I must say, they did not disturb my new lawn one bit! Primo paving respected my property as they performed the work. I would use this company again and have already given their name to some neighbors and to some "lookers" who have stopped while driving by and admired the work. Great job.

Just talked to Joe about redoing my driveway, all I have to say is what a nice guy. My driveway is about 1500 Square feet and $6000 is perfectly inline with other quotes I have received. He answered the phone right away. I actually ended up talking to him for 15 minutes about his business and everything he plans to do when he arrives. I will have the work done in April or May and will update this post when work is complete.

I dealt with the owner and he was the one who did the work. He was excellent. He was a real pro and he knew how to use the machine. He was very nice, professional and clean. He had nice equipment and he did exactly what he told me he will do. With regards to price, I didn’t check with anybody else but it seemed to be a good price for what he had to do. I called him and he came right then; so I asked him when he could do it and he said he could do it right then. He did good work. His punctuality was right on the money; he was right there. I would use him again without any doubt.
