The only problem I have with Mr. Allen, is he promises to show and doesn't show. He lives about 30 miles from us and just to get him here was very difficult and very time consuming. He shouldn't take jobs so far away from him if he's not going to come do it. we hired Mr. Allen to cut down 5 crepe myrtle trees and grind the stumps. 2 of the 5 stumps have grown back. Both myself and my husband have been calling Mr. Allen and when I was able to speak to him, he promised to "make a point of doing them within the week" He still hasn't called or shown up. He always claims he's too busy. I have now left another message for him to ask for a refund for those 2 stump that have grown back so I can hire someone who WILL show up before these grow into tall trees again. Jack is very friendly and was professional when he did show up. It's just close to impossible GETTING him to show up. It took quite some time to get him to finish doing the job in the first place, and now this. If he would just do the stumps like he was paid to do, I'd have no problem with him. I know now not to hire him again. Now I have to hire someone to grind the stumps again. Here it is the end of May and I haven't seen a penny of the refund I asked for. I'd forgotten to mention that Mr. Allen tossed all the bricks bordering the beds with the trees he cut down all over the yard, but didn't put them back the way he found them. About the stumps/roots growing: I found a herbicide online that killed off the tons of suckers (shoots) that keep growing and that's working a lot better and faster than this man did, and it was only $10 for the entire big container! Wish I'd found out about this stuff before going through all Jack Allen's lies and the frustration with him. If you want to use him, make sure he lives close to you and maybe he'll show when he says he will. I'll never recommend this person to anyone. Beware!

Called a day before the scheduled appt. saying he would come by in the afternoon. Called ahead to report he was on his way. Arrived as scheduled. Grinded three stumps and cleaned up mess all within an hour for a very reasonable price. Have a tree that needs to be trimmed so Jack will be back once the area dries. The quote was less than previously quoted from another vendor. If you need tree service, trimming, or such, you can't go wrong with A2Z Tree Removal. Follow Up Jack said to call back regarding trimming a tree in my backyard once the area dried up from recent rain. Called on a Friday saying the area was dry. Jack called back later and said he would be over that Saturday. Jack trimmed the tree which is the best it has looked since I bought the house some 10 years ago. In fact while in my area, Jack received requests for several other jobs that day and completed them all. The neighborhood was very grateful for the service provided.

Very professional work. Trees taken down with no damage to structures. Had the necessary equipment. Jed had 30 years of experience and it showed in how he took down two large pine trees.

We have hired a few different tree services in the past, but I have to say These guys are so professional & did such a great job. Just really good people. Will always call Jack when we need any type tree work done. Exceeded our expectations.

Did everything I expected for a good price.

Excellent work done by a real pro. He dealt with my son who is a freshman at LSU and everything went smooth and quickly. I had other bids to do the stump grinding and not only was Jack under these bids, he took care of some other stumps on the property that I didn't need ground down for no extra charge. My son was impressed with the way Jack treated him when they settled up. I would tell any person in Baton Rouge that this man is a "no-brainer" to hire for tree removal service.

I never take the time to do reviews but after the great job done by Jack I feel others need to know. I contacted several tree services for the removal of a very large pine tree on my property after being put on notice by a neighbor that the tree had died and they were worried about it falling on their building. The quotes came back all over the place. Jack was the least expensive. I would not normally go with the least expensive option without a good reason but after I spoke to Jack he was the most professional and understood exactly what needed to be done. It had been raining nearly everyday and we were waiting for a break in the weather to get it done without tearing up the yard. Finally got the break in weather and Jack and his team were out there instantly knocking it out in one day. I assumed there would be some clean up I would need to do behind them and that there would be some damage to the yard. Neither was the case. Jack and his crew picked up every stick and the yard was in perfect shape. The only way I could tell he was there is that the tree was gone and I was relieved to be rid of the liability associated with the tree. Thanks for a great job Jack!!!!

If you go with anyone else, you are missing out. Jack was very professional and knowledgeable. The work was done on schedule and he and his crew did an excellent job. I highly recommend Jack for your tree needs. A2Z - cant be beat!!!!!

JACK AND HIS EMPLOYEES WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. WHAT HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO DO HE DID WITHOUT A PROBLEM. HE TOLD ME WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR IN THE FUTURE, HOW THE 8 TREES WERE TO CASCADE OUT AND RADIATE. HE WAS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR COMPARED TO OTHER CONTRACTORS I'VE HIRED.

Right after heavy rains, at my house 4 hours after talking to me. Agreed to price and work was completed as promised. I would use them again, tell them what you want and they will do it. They are not mind readers.
