Mayeux installed our previous a/c 13 1/2 years ago. We have received excellent care from them in the intervening years and when it became clear the unit would need to be replaced, we did not hesitate to contact Mayeux for a quote on a replacement. We decided on a unit and they worked with us to set an appointment time which was convenient for us. The workers showed up on time, did the work efficiently and professionally and were very courteous and considerate while doing so. They did not waste time but took the time needed to do the job well, finishing everything in one day (8:30 to 4:30 with a lunch break). They also took care in protecting our home from damage and left a clean work area.
Everything is working fine so far.
We appreciate the quality of the workmanship and look forward to working with this company again in the future.

My wife (who is black) was home alone for this appointment. The repairman arrived about 30 mintues after the scheduled appointment and looked at a few parts of the internal system. Our A/C units outside are raised, and he specified a date that he would return (this time with the necessary ladder) to look at them. He was polite and he left us believing we would see him early the next week to finish what he started. About 20 minutes after his departure, a woman from the office called and told us a story about how the repairman that serviced us had reported that our neighbors had surrounded his van and tried to rob/break into it. This sounded highly unusual, and we had been out in our yard and didn't see anything like this occur. We politely apologized for whatever they claimed had happened and thought that was that . Four days of agonizing heat later, when I called to arrange the follow up appointment we had discussed with the repairman, the woman in the office refused to provide service to us. She said she "didn't want to put her employees in harm's way" and that she should have told me before the original appointment that their company has a policy that they "don't service our area". When I called her bluff and told her that they had done work on my property last July, she got flustered and again refused service. (I will mention that when I worked with this company last year there were no issues whatsoever) We are a white collar couple living in a nice house that we own in the Lower Garden District - if this company doesn't service "this area" I don't know where in New Orleans they WOULD service. I don't know why we were refused service, but we have our suspicions.

WENT WELL.....

My initial visit didn't occur as scheduled and I called them and they said numerous people called off and rescheduled me for the following day.  The following day they called and arrived at a decent hour. 

it went fine.  He was on time.  He was polite, courteous and friendly.

Mayeux's A/C and Heating Inc. showed up when he said he would. I was totally satisfied with him. It didn't take him but maybe an hour and a half to go through the system and check everything out. He told me all the things that he checked and gave me an overall okay. We signed an agreement that he would do a check-up on an annual basis. He did the work fast and on time.

The person I talked to on the phone was very nice and accommodating.  She worked with my schedule.  This had not been done for 3yrs.  Brian was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable.  The Cost of $300 was due to the fact I signed a service agreement  and they will be back in the fall to service the furnaces.

I have a maintenance agreement for him to come and inspect my unit twice a year. He was right on time and did the inspection thoroughly.

This is the 3rd time I've used Mayeux's, and they were prompt and professional each time. This last time, I called them in the morning and they had someone at my house by 4pm that afternoon. Terry was my serviceman at least twice; he was friendly, took the time to explain things to me and knew what he was doing. I would recommend Mayeux's to anyone, and I will use them again.

They are fast, fair, and they're good at what they do.
