Response from Mayeux's A/C and Heating Inc
I am not sure if this is the person that I spoke with, because he did not give me his name. But I did receive a call from someone wanting an estimate on a total system changeout. I told him that we were very busy and we would be able to get out by this Friday (within 4 days). This is longer than usual for an estimate, for us, but being in the middle of the summer it has been very hectic. I asked him some basic questions as to the size of the system that needs replacing and a few other questions that would help me in getting him an approximate price over the phone. Our general practice is to make a site visit in order to give a firm price but because we could not get out there right away I felt like I should at least give him an approximate price. At least this way he would know if he still was interested in our compnay or not. I don't necessarily agree with someone being able to grade us on all categories due to all of the categories not being applicable with only a phone conversation. We have always took pride in responding to calls within 24 hours, whether it be for service or estimates. The person that I spoke with said he was from Terrytown, this is not in our immediate service area; however, we are always willing to branch out to new areas, with the understanding that we may not be able to respond within 24 hours.
