I met Brian to measure the area and he discussed the project with me and answered all my questions. I had internet discussions with Ira to go over the scope and the pricing of the project. In particular we discussed sealing the ductwork which was also under the house in the crawl space. Ultimately we decided to seal the ductwork, which was my decision - I never felt pressured to do the added scope. We scheduled the work and the installation crew arrived on time, installed the product, including additional support to the ductwork, and left the area clean. I already feel the difference and have noticed the longer times between cycles of the AC unit.

Everything was pretty much done electronically (email) so I prefer that because we lead a busy life. It was explained, when we have more questions, they came out and explained in detail what was going to happen. Would suggest using them.

I googled foam insulation in New Orleans. Sunlight Contractors was the first one came up. I put my phone number to text message only and email address on their comment. Sure enough I got their text message reply. Very honest and professional. I got Brian over to my home for a free estimate. 2 hours after he left, I got all the information and price. I was very happy with his great input. I could not wait and called them the next day for the job to be done. Soon enough they came and did a professional and awesome job. I rate them an overall A plus and definitely tell my friends and famlly about them. Thank you again for the hard work. I m now very happy and my dream finally came true. I can't wait to see my electricity bill this summer to be lower. :)

Some initial confusion on bid when job started. We settled on adjusting the price upwards. Company claims they still took a loss on the job due to confusion over square footage in the attic. I was at ease with adjusting the price of job. Final cost was below the highest bid I received. House had little or no insulation to start with. Open cell foam was installed in the attic and closed cell foam was applied under the floors above the crawl space. Job took a couple of days, crew was responsive as to my questions and very good as to clean up and attention to detail. I am happy with the results and would use them again. Foam insulation is quite expensive but appropriate for use in this climate and in older houses. I do not like your alpha rating system, because it lends itself to inflation of value. I would prefer a 0-100 numeric system. Given such a system, I would have rated Dr. Energy at 91 or 92 of 100 on the price, slightly higher values on the other criteria presented. No one gets 100.

Outstanding experience. I have a pretty large house they came in did everything professionally, no mess, cleaned up afterwards. They stay in contact to make sure everything is ok. You cannot ask for a better team of professionals to work with. I truly enjoyed having them here. This is the second job they have done for me. First was a Solar Power Water Heater - works great! The Spray Foam was a larger task of course but they came in showed me where I was loosing air etc. My electrical bills were 400 dollars plus per month, the attic was just way to hot. My electrical bills are way lower - average of 50% cheaper than before. I am saving money. The house is cooler and more comfortable. I put thermometer in the attic and it barely goes above 79 degrees in the summer. This is my first winter and I can say the house is also staying more comfortable as well without the heater kicking on and off. In Short - Electric Bills are lower, house is comfortable and we love it. Sunlight Contractors / Dr Energy Saver you guys are the BEST! Keep up the great work! You have a Customer for LIFE! BOO-YAH!

I contacted Sunlight because of the strong mildew odor in the house we just purchased. I have a particularly small crawl space and was impressed they were able to get under the house to offer a quote and subsequently perform the job. Their representative Ira was excellent to work with as were the young men that performed the actual service. Everyone was professional and friendly. The gentlemen performing the service were courteous and cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. The odor is gone! Excellent Job.

Great! My house is staying much warmer in the winter, and the floors are quieter to walk on.

Ira, the owner of the company, was extremely professional, helpful and transparent when I was getting foam insulation estimates for my home which I plan to do within the next month or two. He provided me with great background information about the types of foam he uses in comparison to others on the market. He bends over backwards to ensure you know what you're buying and says he will beat any price of a legitimate competitor. He stays in contact with you during the entire process until you're completely satisfied. He's definitely on my short list!

It was a great experience. The team arrived on time and did not disturb us while working in the attic. Great service and will definitely recommend them to anyone that would like to save on their electric bill.

The insulation went very well. The contractors were in and out, as promised, and they were very professional and extremely informative in their communication with me. I was told ahead of time that the subfloor insulation would strengthen my floors, reduce insects, and keep the floors warmer, and that both types of insulation would mean less energy from my heater/AC to keep the house a comfortable temperature. I waited a month before writing this review to see if everything that they promised would be true. While my floors are still a little cold in the morning, I can say that they do feel firmer. And other than a single roach that I figured out had come through an uninsulated wall (not part of my contract), I have seen no insects (knock on wood). The biggest indicator that I made the right choice was my energy bill. Last month, before I moved in and insulated, my energy bill was only about $25--that's how much it cost me to keep my house at 55 degrees or cooler and turn on the lights for a few hours each week. This month, with me living in the place (keeping the temperature between 60 and 70 degrees at all times, with fridge/washer/dryer/hot water heater/lights/modem/TV/computer/etc running), my energy bill was less than $60. According to my programmable thermostat, my heater only comes on for 10-30 minutes a day, and when I turn the system off completely on nights/weekends I'm away from home, I come back to find that the inside temperature never drops more than 5 or 10 degrees, even on cold days. All in all, I would highly recommend Sunlight Contractors. It's a good chunk of change upfront, but it's lower than the competitors and you'll make up that money in reduced energy bills over time!

Ira and Corey at Sunlight Contractors were on time and completed the project in one day. The service was started and completed on Jan 16, 2015. The people at Sunlight were very knowledgeable and answered every question about their spray foam product. After the job was complete, I was very pleased with the work the did. Extra time was taken to ensure the correct coating thickness was applied. They went beyond expectations cleaning the site afterward. I will use them again in the future and have 3 more industrial buildings contracted for them to start on.

Sunlight did a great job! They showed up on time and finished quickly. They checked the depth of the foam application and corrected any low spots immediately. Their work was very clean and there was no over-spray anywhere. The crew was very professional. I would highly recommend Sunlight for any insulation job.

A few days after the job was complete we noticed that an outlet that had previously been working before the spray foam job was no longer working. I let Ira know and he sent two guys out immediately. Turns out i had some shoddy wiring in my home and some wires were spliced without a junction box and the connection had come loose and was sprayed with foam. The guys came out and reconnected the wires with no issues. If you have any doubts about issues after the job is complete rest assured that they won't disappear on you and you'll be just as important to them after the job is complete.

I'm an engineer by profession and dealing with Ira and Corey was incredibly easy. I needed the job completed very soon after getting my estimate (which was the lowest by far i received) and Ira was very accommodating. Corey showed up on the agreed upon day and his crew did a great job. I expected it to take a full day (they were spraying about 2,800 sq. ft.) and they were finished by 1 pm. They did a great job and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I reached out to Sunlight Contractors the day after I received a bid along with a wealth of knowledge about licensing, bonding and how well they understood their business. It was an abundance of resource, all of which I truly appreciated. None of the other companies that sent me a bid sent me any info, and interestingly they offered the lowest bid of all four that I received. I am looking forward to the changes this makes in my home!

They were very professional. They stressed their licensing and bonding as well as their technical understanding of the business. They were on time and completed their work quickly.

Installation went well except for break in collection bag when removing previous insulation, but that was outside and was promptly cleaned up. I purposely waited through a hot summer and two very cold spells to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of placing this installation. I can now say it was a good move to place this product. My cooling bills were lower, and my heating consumption through these cold spells was cut in half!!! I am much more comfortable in my old (c.1927) wooden frame home with original windows. Recommend this company.

Ira's team did a great job. Very clean and careful with the house abd new central air equipment. On time and very easy to work with.
