+ 0 moreIt took a couple of tries to book an appointment, as I work night shift and was coming straight from work. As it worked out, I did have to wait about 45 minutes before they got started, but once they did, they were quick, thorough, and did a great job balancing finicky tires on finicky alloys. I will definitely use them again. Really nice, very knowledgeable, and high-quality service.
Description of Work: I ordered a set of new high-performance tires for my Mazda Miata, and had them delivered to Gordon & Sandifer for mounting, balancing, and installation on the car.

Description of Work: I had a flat and went to get it fixed or replaced. They did not have my tire size and had to order it but they checked the rest of my tires and added air so I could feel confident driving without a spare.

+ -1 moreCalled and was told the business hours. They said to stop in anytime and they would take a look. Dropped it off late morning and they called me back that afternoon to say what the problem was, that it would be end of day or next morning before they could get the part. They said when it was fixed they would call and that the repair would be $325 parts and labor. They called the next afternoon as promised and said the repair was complete and ready for pickup. The young man on the counter was very polite and professional. I would return for other repairs without hesitation.
Description of Work: Evaluated the intermittent failure of my auto AC. Sometimes I could turn it on, sometimes not. Sometimes the unit would stop blowing without warning after running perfectly.

Description of Work: When the "check engine" light on my 2000 Mazda Protege came on, I decided to take the car to Gordon and Sandifer, since I am unfamiliar with any other mechanics in town. I just moved back to Baton Rouge about a year ago after a long absence. I used this shop while at LSU. I am pleased with their service. They charged $85 to scan the car, which indicated that the seals around the valves on the engine were loose/old/dry. They included the price of fixing those in the $85. I went ahead and got an oil change as well.

Description of Work: Took truck in for new tires and and an alignment. I had been meaning to take in in to have front end checked as I have about 150,000 miles. No long after I dropped it off they called and told me I needed bearing on one side and tie rod on the other. This was not a surprise as I knew it needed checked. The price they quoted me was fair and I told them to go ahead with the work. I did not get other estimates based on prior dealing with them. They did not complete same day as they said the truck was so out of alignment they could not get it just right and wanted to make sure was done correctly. Was completed early the next day.

+ 0 moreSomebody had backed into my original bumper and put a very lovely hole into it, so it had to be completely replaced. They were very professional. I went to several places, and I got a quote from them, and they did a good job in a very short time and did it very well. They are close by to where I live. My car was a Nissan, and they guaranteed that they used Nissan parts, so they were great. The people who had backed into my car actually paid for it. In terms of price, I got three bids, and they were the middles, but the point why is that they used the Nissan parts, and nobody else was going to use the Nissan parts, so I felt that was the best deal. They were great in terms of responsiveness, and their professionalism was terrific.

+ 0 moreI understand that getting the paint job right can be a roll of the dice, especially with metallic-type paint such as the silver on my Elantra. There were some problems with the paint job the first time around, but they honored their warranty and repainted the bumper. Now it is as close to like-new as could be expected under the circumstances. On the whole, great job!
Description of Work: I tore up the back bumper of my 2012 Hyundai before even making the first payment!
