Wore masks; went right to work. Done very quickly. No mess to clean up. I was very pleased. The receptionist was also very helpful.

Description of Work: We asked several things of him. None were satisfactory. We ended up calling another plumber which came by immediately. I am sorry because we used Mason-Shirley for years. The time before this we called when our crawl space flooded due to an accident breaking the fire extinguisher up the street. He did a fine job.

The men got my gas logs working again and took the time to show me and explain how to keep them running efficiently and safely. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

Description of Work: My outdoor "no-freeze" faucet sprung a leak in the wall. They gave me the option of going through the drywall to fix it, or to close it off and run a new line to the outdoors - I chose the latter, which saved me money. It includes a valve inside to turn the water off.

+ -1 moreistantInitially could not respond for a week due to work load but came to house as promised. Took about 2 hours and they provided one part each for faucet and commode. Charged extra $50 to use their rooting machine to clear kitchen drain (In my opinion this was excessive as it was a small much-used machine that used my electric current) . If I use them again I will first ask about itemized costs..
Description of Work: Repaired leaky faucet in bathtub. Cleared out main kitchen sink drain so dishwasher could drain properly. Modified commode so it would flush properly. Installed under-counter soap dispenser that I supplied. Thoroughly tested dishwasher for proper functioning. Included labor for 2 hours for plumber and assistant.

+ -1 moreI've used this company for nearly 20 years and have been very happy with their work. They always go the extra mile -- AND they like my dog. :and gt;) I'd recommend them to anyone -- and have.
Description of Work: I was hearing water running in the house, which started after a water main broke on the street. I called them at 7:30 a.m. and Ben came out within the hour to turn the water off at the street before he headed to a couple of other calls that had already been scheduled. He and his helper were back around noon. They hunted around and sadly told me they had tracked it to the main coming into the house. I was sad too -- not because of that (I have insurance on the main), but because my insurance won't let me use my own plumber. Ben went down to talk to the Kentucky American guys who were working on another street and came back with the phone number of someone I should call, then gave me great instructions as to what to ask for from the insurance company's plumber, including type of pipe, where to dig and how it could be done without destroying sidewalks and the driveway.

Mason and Shirley for years before he took over the business, so I haven't noticed a change in service with the transition. They still provide reliable, good work, and they clean up after themselves. + -1 moreKitchen sink stopped up on the afternoon we were celebrating Christmas with family. Called Mason and Shirley plumbing that afternoon and they were able to send someone over within an hour. He was very nice and communicated everything he was doing. He even interacted with the grandkids while he was here. After a couple of tries he was able to locate and resolve the problem and then made some recommendations for what I should do to help prevent some future problems. I was thankful for the responsiveness and quick resolution to my issue. I will definitely use them in the future.

I had been told I had a gas leak by the gas company and had 2 plumbers prior to them come out and tell me that I did not have a leak and both had indicated they used a pressure test. Within the first 20 minutes, they located a gas line that had previously been capped, but the valve had been left open. They closed the valve leading to nowhere and retested the lines. They suggested I have the gas company retest one last time before going through the expense of replacing all of my lines. After getting the gas company out for the THIRD time, I was told there was no more leak. They were honest, respectful, and on top of their game. Neither of the other two plumbers I had called to check the lines found the capped (but open) line causing the problem. I appreciated their honesty and would highly recommend them!
Description of Work: I requested they test gas lines due to possibly having a leak. Secondly, requested an estimate to replace those lines. Also installed a pressure relief line from water heater through the floor to drain outside.

Description of Work: We had an leak on the lower level and could not determine where it was coming from. There was water in the bathroom and in the closet behind the bathroom that houses the furnace and water heater. Mason Shirley got the message from us in the morning and said they would call "soon" to let us know when they could have someone out. Within about an hour they called to say someone was on the way. "Ken" searched and search and found a small drip from a bolt on the furnace, which led him to cut open a plastic pipe that runs from the air conditioner to a drain. It took Ken about an hour and fifteen minutes to find the leak, remove, clean out and reinstall the clogged pipes. Before lunch the entire problem was solved, the floors were cleaned up (by Ken!), and we were completely back in business. Mason Shirley has helped with previous plumbing issues at our house, with similar experiences and always to our great satisfaction and relief!
