Work was completed quickly and professionally. He replaced a section of gutter that had been a problem since the house was built. And he was able to match the paint fairly well with the pre-finished gutter.

I did my homework before deciding to go with Vensel Construction. I got about 4 or 5 estimates, did as much research about each company that I could and looked at what materials and installation methods were recommended. Then I just went with my gut feeling. Without exception, Jimmy Vensel, the owner, met or exceeded my expectations and epitomizes how a top notch contractor runs his business. That is made quite evident not only by the A+ rating with the BBB, but also by the multitude of Angie's list reviews which mostly are A's. Companies that have an A rating but only a few reviews are no comparison to one like Vensel's which has A's on over 20 reviews. . He is very accessible whether by e-mail or phone, and when he says he is going to do something, he REALLY does it. He employs very capable people who he can entrust getting the job done. None the less, he still will briefly show up at the job just to make sure the customer has any concerns or questions addressed. It doesn't take long to figure out this guy is a master at multi-tasking. Some specifics about my job. The roofing job from start to finish was completed in less than 4 hours. After they left, I scoured the area for debris. I found less than 10 nails and a few specks of old roof. That's it. The gutter job took about 4 hours as well since it is a 4 sided garage. The thickness of the gutters was proven when a passing car struck one of them while it was sitting on the rollers in my driveway. It didn't bend, dent or even crease it. They use hangers every 24" for maximum support. The gutters look great and hopefully the Leaf Relief gutter guard will solve the leaf problem I have from the tree that hangs directly over the garage. The prices were very reasonable. Give Vensel Construction a call, you won't regret it.

Mr. Vensel, the owner, was very responsive. We requested an estimate for gutter cleaning and repair and he advised replacement. The crew was able to start work a week earlier than expected which was nice. The bill we were given that day was about $150 higher than the estimate but we had an Angie's List coupon so it worked out. The gutters are great--much, much better than the old gutters. I would highly recommend them for gutter replacement. I would not recommend them for fascia or soffit replacement. Honestly, it just doesn't look as nice as it should. This could be because the crew seemed unaware that they were supposed to perform that service. Also, I didn't see anyone sweep the work zone with a magnet, though they certainly may have done so, and have been picking up screws and metal clips from my driveway and yard for a week so anyone who goes barefoot in the yard or has outdoor pets may want to ask them if it is usually part of their protocol. UPDATE--I called a week ago to let them know that some repairs were needed. Mr. Vensel said he would have someone out within a week. He came out himself a week later and fixed the gutter. I am very pleased with the gutters. He said he would come out the next day to install the pop rivet missing from the front soffit but, a week later, that is still undone. Overall, I am pleased.

The job was done in about 1 full day. Started one afternoon and finished the next day. Everything was done well and cleaned up afterward. Estimate was fair and adhered to.

I called for an estimate and had one by the next afternoon. I clled him and approved the bid. He told me when to expect them. I was glad to know that I did not have to be home while the work was done. When thery didn't arrive on the day I was expecting, they called and explained when the work was to be done.

They came out here within a week of my call. They were able to fit into my schedule. I have used them three times. They did a good job in a timely fashion. I sent them over to do some work in one of my kids? houses and they did a good job over there too. They provided good service and were reasonably priced. They cleaned up after themselves very well.

They were not complete with their estimate. I thought that they were going to do better than they did. I thought it was pretty high priced. I was not that happy with them to give them a top rating. I could not get hold of them after I initially contacted them. The gutters were okay. I have box gutters in front of my house. I was under the impression that they were going to replace those too when they said replace the gutters but they did not. The replaced some of the gutters. I thought the estimate was for all the gutters but it did not turn out that way. The name of the person who runs the company is Jimmy Vensel. They were nice; sort of middle of the road. There were glitches but overall it turned out very well. I am a new home owner so I don?t have a whole lot to compare the price with. I thought the price was a little too high. They were there in an hour. It was a dream situation. My yard is fenced in and they came to do some of the work. They did not tell me that they were coming. They cut the lock off my gate. They told me that they had to do their work. I would have unlocked the gate if they had told me that they were coming. I told them to buy me a new lock which they did.

It was easy. Got the name from Angie's List and called because of their rating and the 10% coupon. Got a call back from Mr. Vensel who arranged a price and a time to do the work. I didn't need to be home. Paid by check. He called me as he was doing the work to see if I wanted the garage roof cleaned and to ask about a Wisteria vine that was growing next to and over the garage. He was careful not to harm it and cleaned up any mess.

Called the firm and asked for a free estimate--it was promptly provided with alternatives for gutter guiards. Talked to the owner and asked for recommendations-he was very thoroiugh in explaining pros and cons of various approaches. His staff came and did the work on a Saturday --we were not even home--he just left the invoice in the door and left me a voice mail. No muss no fuss and the job got done.

called james vensel to repair gutters which were pulling away from house. he called back the next day and scheduled work the following day.after scheduling the gutter work my renter informed me the roof was leaking,so i called james back and he said he would check out the roof. the roof turned out to be missing some shingles and a roof vent was loose. james fixed the roof and gutters at the same time. he was very prompt and reasonable and i would use him again.

The person who came was very timely and he did a good job. The repair he made subsequently broke again so he came back very quickly and repaired it again.

They were great and I will use them in the future to clean out my box gutters since I can't get to the ones on the upper floors. The only issue was getting the work completed becasue the weather was not cooperating. Jim Vensel reamined in touchh during the weather delay and the work was done as soon as it stopped raining.

Punctual, professional crew that communicated, didn't have jam box blarring, no cigaretts, no cussing, picked up each eve, good workmanship.

Jim Vensel is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about what is needed and required. He was able to attend to us despite a death in the family. His "crew" was fantastic, the old kind of professionalism that takes pride in their work, does a great job AND TOTALLY CLEANS UP AFTERWARDS. His crewboss, Harold, was of the old school and we were thrilled with their work. (The downspout needed a part that was a little off from the parts on the truck, so Harold said he'd be back tomorrow to fix it. We've all heard that story!! BUT returning home the next day --- downspout was repaired!!!. We highly recommend this company.

This was a pleasant experience all the way through. James Vensel was straight forward about what the estimate did & did not include. He also let me know what might come up as far as any additional costs related to replacing rotten wood, etc. I found it easy to keep the process moving from estimate to actual work done by communicating through email with his assistant Christy. James was also quite reachable by phone or would call back pretty quickly if he was not available. I was very impressed with the focused way in which the crew came in and got the job done. They also were very thorough about cleaning up after all was done. I think my new roof looks great and one of my neighbors who used to do roofing work told me he felt that the work that was done on my roof was of very high quality. I would highly recommend this company for their work.

He is honest and shows up on time. Does what he says he will do. Reasonably prices and great services.

While new gutters were being installed I learned that James also does roofing and asked for an estimate to repair a place on the porch roof that had been damaged in recent storms. He provided an estimate and suggested I call the insurance company. James' estimate was lower than the adjuster's. While removing the damaged part of the roof, the crew located the reason why we had intermittent leaks in an adjacent part of the roof, which others had tried unsuccessfully to repair. The situation was thoroughly explained to me, repairs were completed, and we have had two periods of rain with no leaks. The cost was, of course, higher than the original estimate since the work was more extensive, but I believe it was more than fair. James apologized more than once for the increase in price.

Good! He returned our call fast and came in bad weather.

Jim came when he said he was coming and provided estimate, scheduled the work and then completed it in one day. The crew was professional and efficient, and they thoroughly cleaned up after they finished.

I didn't even know he had been there but the work is all done.

Estimate and work were completed quickly. I would hire the company again.

This was the first time I have used their services. They came when they were suppose to, did what they said they would do and did it well. I am totally satisfied with the work.

Jim called several hours before his crew arrived. I had my wife leave early from work to make sure all was being taken care of properly. When she arrived, the job was done and Jim was cleaning up the debris with a leaf blower. The house/yard were undisturbed and just as clean as when he arrived. The gutters look great!!! First class job!!
