They were prompt and did the work very well. He charged me a fair price and was able to fix it.

Our clothes dryer had been taking a very long time to dry laundry, and recently there was a burning smell inside it as well as a red glow in the back of it when it was running. I called An Expert Appliance Repair (found through Yellow Pages) and explained the situation. The owner/repair guy immediately seemed to have an idea of what was wrong, and we scheduled a day for him to come check the dryer. Upon arrival, he heard my explanation of the problem again and went to look at the dryer in the laundry room. He said that the dryer was sitting too close to the wall and was thus blocking the lint from going out like it should; thus, the lint ended up sticking around in the dryer somewhat, and that's what the burning smell was. (He provided a more thorough explanation that I won't expand on here, but the explanation was very reasonable.) He checked the outside area to make sure nothing was blocking the air flow outdoors and noted that it was fine but we should keep the vines pulled away from the hole. He also explained that dryers have an auto shutoff when temperatures get too high, so my concern of a fire was probably not necessary. He placed a brick behind the dryer to keep us from moving the dryer too close to the wall. His charge of $50 might seem a bit high, but it kept us from buying a new dryer, so it was worth it. The owner runs a store of reconditioned appliances in Berea, and he does seem to know his stuff about all brands. I was impressed.
