Salesperson promised to assist with getting a new roof for our home after hail damage. We provided all of the necrssary information. never returned. On or about June 23, a representative of Home Team Roofing came to our home to discuss the potential damage to our roof. He was "in the neighborhood" since several of our neighbors had sustained damage to their roofs. A few days later, we met with him again and we signed an agreement wherein Home Team Roofing guaranteed us a no cost new roof. The company pledged to work with our insurance company to get the new roof. We followed his instructions by contacting our insurance company for a roof inspection. Damage was confirmed. We contacted Home Team Roofing again and relayed this information. We made a copy of the insurance companies report and provided to Home Team Roofing. We were told that Home Team would follow-up with the insurance company and work through the process of getting a new roof installed at no cost to us. For the last two months, we have called Home Team Roofing consistently and we are being told that the representative would call us back. We have not received a return phone call nor has Home Team Roofing attempted to contact us in any way. We have communicated our disappointment to the Home Team Representative and still no return call. This company is the epitomy of horrible customer service, complete lack of professionalism, dishonesty, and predatory practices.
Description of Work: Contractor was supposed to install a new roof.

Response from Home Team Roofing
[member name removed] was approached by our company representative Rich Shababb and we told her after looking at her roof that she had sustained hail damage we could help her try get a roof replacement due to the hail damage on her roof. We had replaced many roofs in her neighborhood and continue to do as of today. During our consultation our estimator stressed that due to the nature of the insurance business and the type of roof she had ( WOOD SHAKE )it was imperative that we meet with her adjuster to help get the roof approved for full replacement. We specifaclly gave her instructions to call us to meet with the adjuster because insurance companies want to keep there losses down by repairing the roof, not replacing the roof and we told her that it is possible but not easy to change there mind once the insurance company is recommending repair. The next call we got from the homeowner was notifying us that state farm had come out and told her she did not have enough damage and that they were going to repair the roof. We asked her why we were not notified of appointment and did not receive a answer. She told us to pick up A COPY OF HER INSURANCE ESTIMATE. A COPY under her mat. We did and saw she was only given a replacement We then contacted her insurance adjuster whom we work with often and has paid for many roofs in her neighborhood to be replaced and he adamantly told us that he was not going to change his findings and that her roof was repairable. At this point we left [member name removed] a message letting him know that we would need to wait for the next storm to help him and to call us if he needed anymore information. After that we have never heard anything about this until a customer told us we have negative review. We have tried calling the customer with no response and sent a certified letter with there insurance estimate to them. I find it incredible that a customer does not follow the direction on how to best to get there roof paid for and then when told we cant help them anymore they make a complaint that is bogus. I am sure there upset because we have done more than 60 homes in there subdivision and they want a new roof and there not getting one this year. We try to help every customer with getting a new roof but the business is such that we can not get everyone approved for full replacement. In closing im sorry we could not help the customer but feel there very bitter to make a complaint.
