I had a a main sewer line break on a weekend and found Mark and Utilities Excavating through the HomeAdvisor service. His promptness to responding was incredible as he called back while I was still on the phone with HomeAdvisor! He was responsive, professional, efficient and very reasonably priced compared to other estimates I had. He was able to be at my home early on a Monday morning and had the work completed by noon without major disruptions to my day or my yard. I would definitely recommend Mark and Utilities Excavating for any work that someone needed!

When I learned that our main sewer line (clay tile/installed in about 1966) needed to be replaced, I sought 6 estimates. Mark Shepard's pricing was clearly the best value (and one of the lower estimates) because of his expertise. He is the past president of the Kansas Small Flows Assoc., a professional trade organization that maintains standards for septic system contractors. He and his other primary backhoe operator have won state competitions for their ability to deftly operate their equipment. The work was done in April. I wanted to test the line for several months. No problems! Great job!!

We had a larger septic tank installed. The weather did not cooperate and considerable time passed fromm when they quoted and we were able to have the work done. We had a similiar weather problem later when setting up the final back fill after the ground settled. I finally completed this part myself. However the overall project went very well.

These guys were great! After several inquiries they were the only ones to give me a practical, and cost effective way to solve my sewage problem. The work was so impressive I ended up giving them a bonus which included not only extra pay for the initial job but an added project to install a French drain. Both projects were within my budget and the workmanship was outstanding. They did not take advantage of my emergency by charging the "shake down" rates as others tried to do.

Mark was very honest and hard working. He was great to deal with, and went out of his way to work out things with me and do a good job. He and his helper, who was also a very hard worker, did an excellent job replacing my main water line. They also cleaned up my basement and property afterward. I would highly recommend Mark and his company to others.

Very fast and reliable septic tearout and installation. Did some plumbing work in the basement, and that took quite a while, and didn't look great. But that was by my request. ALL the septic work was above par and very good.

Hired to repair an outside waterleak on the church property....company charged a flat rate, which turned out to be double for what the problem was in my opinion. We had a sprinkler system leak and not a broken main line. Once the source of the leak was identified, I thought the company should have adjusted the bill accordingly. They did not. Thus we were overcharged. Would not hire again. Disappointed.

Mark Shepard is a very pleasant person to work with. He did my job quickly and efficently. My property is located on a very step hill and my tank is far from the road. Mark was able to help me without any problems. His crew was equally as professional as Mark. I HIGHLY recommend Mark for ANY septic tank replacement job! In fact I have spread the word in my neighborhood about how wonderful his company is to work with. He did not pump my tank...he is in the business of replacing tanks which is even more difficult job.
