 + -1 moreJeremy let me demo the new Simplicity vacuum for a week. It worked great and had a HEPA filter plus bags to contain the dog hair and smell. I returned to purchase the floor model and it was already SOLD. Jeremy called the other stores and found the vacuum as a demo selling it to me for 50$ less! Terrific help and service with low pressure sale people.
Description of Work: I have multiple carpet densities and some area rugs in my house plus two beagle dogs. I needed a vacuum to really deep clean in all areas.

 + 0 moreI took my lamp in in early April, 2012 and was told that it would be done in 1-2 weeks. I received a call after about 3 weeks that the specific socket style for my lamp was out of stock and would be coming within the next month or so. I never received another phone call. By June I went in and they told me they were still waiting on the part. By the end of July I still had not received any information and I went to the store to see what was going on. I asked if there was another company that they could get the part from the man at the counter told me I had to be patient. When I told him that the lamp had been there for 4 months and that I thought that was pretty patient he shrugged his shoulders and said, and quot;Whatever.and quot; I then asked for my lamp and took it somewhere else and had it repaired in less than a week.
Description of Work: I had a lamp that I needed to have rewired and I wanted a different harp style.

Description of Work: We bought a new (at least we thought it was new) Dyson vacuum from Mar-bec and paid around $500 for it. The vacuum was only about six months old, and the belt apparently broke (although you couldn't see it), and it wouldn't suction, and - the worst part - it scratched our new hardwood floors. I INSISTED on a new vacuum, and they refused. I asked them to have our floors refinished, and, of course, got no place there. They told us the best they could do was to replace the belt, but they didn't know how long it would take. They said in the meantime, they'd loan us a vacuum for a day, but we couldn't keep it until ours was fixed. In the end, they did fix the belt, and it only took a week or so, but WE WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM MAR-BEC AGAIN! Oh, and did I mention that when I insisted on talking with the manager, he couldn't have been any more rude.

 + -1 moreA rubber piece stretched and broke on the vacuum. Before we knew what had happened, it scratched our hardwood floors. We took it back and the salesman said that he had never seen that happen on a Dyson. He said it would take up to four weeks for repair. They refused to give us a new one and all they would do is send it in for repair. The manager refused to refund our money or replace the vacuum. We weren't treated with good customer care at all.

 + 0 moreTheir price varies because the appliances carry different parts, and they fix and repair anything from vacuum cleaner, sewing machine, dust buster, or any kind of kitchen appliances or appliances around the house. I go them as they are the only one who do that kind of work. I would continue to use them again in the future.

 + -1 moreTwo Hoover vacuums needed a new brush and one needed a belt. The repair was done in a timely manor, three days. They called me to come pick them up. The vacuum's were also cleaned on the outside and had new bags. Thank you Mar-Beck.

Description of Work: The brush on my Dyson vacuum cleaner would not rotate. I took into Mar-Beck on Saturday and they fixed it there on the spot for no charge. When I got it home, it worked only momentarily which lead me to believe that there was more complicated issue. I took it back on Monday. When I picked it up on Wednesday, due to a burned out clutch, it worked beautifully!

Description of Work: My KitchenAid standing mixer was leaking oil. I don't know exactly what was done to it, but it works great and there is no more oil leak.

Description of Work: OUR VACCUUM CLEANER WASN'T WORKING WELL, SO I TOOK IT TO MARBECK. THE GENTLEMAN BEHIND THE COUNTER TOOK ONE LOOK AT THE BELT AND COULD TELL IT WAS STRETCHED OUT AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. HE DID NOT CHARGE ME. HIS DIAGNOSIS WAS RIGHT--I REPLACED THE BELT AND IT WORKED FINE!

 + -1 moreWHEN I WAS VACUUMING IN THE BASEMENT I CAUGHT PART OF MY CARPET ON MY ROLLER. I DID NOT NOTICE IT UNTIL I STARTED SMELLING SOMETHING BURNING. I WAS NOT ABLE TO GET MY VACUUM APART TO PULL OUT THE LONG PIECE THAT WAS WRAPPED AROUND THE ROLLER. IT IS WORKING GREAT NOW.
Description of Work: I TOOK MY VACUUM IN ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND THEY HAD THE PARTS AND THE KNOW HOW TO FIX IT WITHIN 10 MINUTES. THEY SAID THE ROLLER BAR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT IS WHAT THEY DID.
