Jeff Pendergraf came the day he was called and surveyed the job. Unfortunately, the job would involve rebuilding a major part of the roof. Jeff recommended a carpenter who came to determine the extent of the work needed. Because both were very busy, it took several weeks to get the estimate and arrange for the work to be done. Nate, the carpenter came when he said he would and did excellent work. When he was finished, the roofers came and finished the job. We are very pleased with the completed project.

Eclipse was prompt in setting up an appointment and providing us with a quote. The quoted price was reasonable and was within a couple of percentage points of the other two firms that provided quotes. Eclipse seemed knowledgeable and professional. We decided to go with another company after basically tossing a coin. In retrospect, and based on our experience with the other roofer, I have some concerns about Eclipse that I'd like them to consider in future. (1) It is very important to clearly disclose the amount of debris that will fall into an attic during the removal of a wood roof. We were stunned at the mess. None of the three roofers we interviewed, including Eclipse, adequately described this, and none offered attic clean-up services. (2) It is very important to assess attic ventilation needs from the standpoint interior comfort in the summer as well as for the life of the roof itself. None of the three roofers we interviewed, including Eclipse, offered adequate explanations of ventilation options, and all prescribed essentially the same ventilation systems. We are experiencing attic temperatures that are substantially higher than prior to the roof replacement. No doubt this is due in part to the extremely hot summer (2010). Part of the problem is also probably attributable to inherently superior ventilation afforded by the design and materials of the old wood roof. Nevertheless, attic ventilation would seem to be a fundamental aspect of roofing that should be given a high priority.

There's no story. I'm trying to sell the house. It needed a roof. I got several bids. Eclipse was the lowest bid -- and came through as the best.

Jeff assessed condition of previous roof, measured and provided estimate in person. Brought examples of shingles. We were interested in Timberline so brought 30, 40 and 50 year shingle styles to compare. We opted for 50 yr. Supplies were delivered day before intended start date. Wind & rain interfered for a wk, but as soon as weather cleared, work began. Crew were of sufficient number to get job done efficiently and thoroughly. Showed up at 7:30 am and didn't quit working until 7:30pm on day 1. Most of the roof was done. Showed up at 7:30am on second day and were done by 10:30 or 11am. Unbelievable how well the crew works together. This is a crew who Jeff has employed for many years and they have the work down to a fine art. The crew brings their own trailer to hold discarded shingles and once the job is done all the scrap leaves with them. The yard was gone over with a magnet device to retrieve any staples, nails or metal scrap. Glad I was at work during the day...it is as noisy as you can imagine. I don't have any concerns at this point, but if any arise Jeff will personally address and fix. Very, very pleased all the way around.

I read good things about this company on the list. This company was a little cheaper than the competition. He seemed very nice.

Roof installation was quick and uniform. A beautiful job. Jeff spent a lot of time answering our questions when he submitted the bid. He was always available during the installation process (it took some time because of intermittent rain) to keep us informed. The cleanup process was satisfactory.

We were very pleased with the promptness, attention to our specific needs, and professionalism of Jeff Pendergraft and his crew. Jeff discussed the options available and did not try to pressure us into purchasing the most expensive product. He came to the site several times during the actual roofing process. The crew arrived when scheduled, got right to work, completed the job and cleaned up. All the men were courteous.

It worked out very well. They came highly recommended. I wanted the roof changed a little bit and so it involved some construction work. He knew a guy that could get that get that done and it was a separate contract. That person was also very good. The roofing guy was extremely helpful that he knew a carpenter who was able to the work done. They coordinated very well with each other. He kept me informed and his communication was excellent. I would use him in future.

Jeff went out to the job site and checked things out promptly after my call to request an estimate. He came by when his estimate was ready, and brought me a very professional folder that included information about the process of re-roofing, the materials that would be used, and a detailed estimate. He walked me through the materials, and answered all my questions. After I made a decision to choose his company for the work, he came back, answered more questions, and walked me through the contract, before I signed it. He dropped off materials at the job site one day, and the following business day the work was completed. To date there has been no problem, and it looks great!

The job went very well. It was performed professionally and the Contractor was honest and of high integrity.

We felt the job was done in a most professional manner and we are very pleased. The price was great, the best of the estimates we had. He honored the Angie's list coupon he offered. Jeff even told us of a local grant program we took advantage of to reduce our costs. His estimate was the lowest priced without any discounts and there were no "suprise" costs. He knew the local codes, got the permits, did not try to up the cost by replacing the underlay, which was in good shape. He didn't offer any silly "we'll get the insurance company to pay for it" suggestions and all the repairs he suggested were needed and done well. The work was done on time. The workers were very hard working and did not need anything from us. They cleaned the trash up amazingly well and were really polite. We feel lucky that we found Eclipe and Jeff on Anglie's list.

Jeff was punctual in walking and measuring our property to provide us with an estimate. He worked his proposal up within a short period of time. He provide various alternatives to the base price and provide brochures for the suggested materials. His estimate was not the cheapest, but a couple of hundred lower than the highest. He provided us with proof of license, and he agreed to add us during the job to his liability insurance as a certificate holder. He was up-front about subcontracting out the guttering and allowed us to contact the subcontractor directly about our questions concerning the rain barrels. Work was scheduled on July 6th and began on that day. A crew of around 6 or 7 men worked continuously during the day, starting around 7:30-8:00 and ending around 5:00-5:30 pm. The roofing was done in a timely matter about a day early (good weather). The guttering began on the scheduled day and took 3/4 of a day to complete with two men working continuously. Everyone was professional and was open to answering questions and addressing any concerns, I had during the work. The clean-up went well. I found only 2 or 3 nails total. Jeff checked in regularly to see that the work was progressing and we were happy with the process as well as the results.

They were very professional, fast and came on time. The finished the work in timely manner and I have no problem with their work so far. They did an excellent work and I was very happy with their quality of service. The price was also reasonable.

The only hitch in the beginning was my insurance agent. He drug his feet in coming over to quote and finally did. He then quoted the job incorrectly. All of this led to delays, none of which were due to Jeff and his crew. When Jeff started the job it only took one day to complete. My roof looks awesome. He also gave me the $300. coupon off of my total bringing charge to $7005.

Fantastic job. Jeff came out and met with our insurance adjuster who had previously refused to cover the roof. Through Jeff's expertise, we were able to get the roof covered. Jeff was extremely professional, kept all appts., was very trustworthy, did all work as scheduled and was very timely. Based upon our meetings with Jeff, we had confidence Eclipse would do a very quality job and they did. Completed large scale re-roof in 2 days. Highly recommended.

Jeff Pendergraft was asked to do an estimate on a home I am purchasing. Because of Realtor contracts already in place I was unable to work with Jeff. Prior to my closing, Jeff offered his estimate, found a structural engineer within a days time and answered professional questions regarding the reroof. If there had been an option to work with Jeff, it would have been my pleasure. Very professional and knowledgeable! Thank you again Jeff for your help.

Jeff came out and did a great job of explaining our options in replacing our shake roof with asphalt shingles. He also walked me through the entire process of re-roofing a house, and suggested we lay plastic sheeting in our garage, as we have no ceiling in there, to keep debris from falling all over during the tear-off. As a first time home owner, I appreciated the fact that he took our budget into consideration and told me exactly what we needed instead of trying to up sell. He suggested installing vents under our soffits to increase the ventilation in the attic, something that was not suggested by other roofing companies we contacted. Finally, he presented a portfolio showing a copy of his liability insurance, information about Timberline/GAF products, and his bid, which he created immediately after looking at the roof and talking to me. His crew came on time, were incredibly efficient, polite, fast and neat. They also answered questions I had as well. They did a fantastic job of cleaning up the yard when they were done--totally exceeded my expectations, especially since our yard wasn't fully raked yet. The old roof was torn off in less than a half day, the entire project was completed in 1 /2 days. Jeff went out of his way to special order different intake vents for part of the house, since the soffits were too narrow to accommodate the other ones. He ended up giving us more intake vents and didn't charge extra for that. Afterwards he came by to give me my warranty and receipt for payment and to look over the roof with me.

Jeff's crew was very professional. The crew leader returned in a few days to touch up an area that he thought needed extra attention. The roof looks great. Jeff is a friendly guy and enjoyable to talk with.

EXCEPTIONALLY WELL! I called Jeff Pendergraft on the mid-Friday afternoon before my wife and I were to leave on vacation. I left a message for Jeff and, true to his reputation, he called me right back within 3 minutes! I explained to him that water was apparently leaking into the house from a crevice where the roof and part of the stucco wall intersected. When he found out we were going on vacation, he said he'd be right over to inspect the problem. AMAZING, but that's Jeff! In less than 30 minutes, he was personally on a ladder and determining the cause of the water leak. He added silicone caulk to the area and said he would have one of his crews out to add a permanent fix on Monday or Tuesday. Instead, he personally brought a crew to our house the next day, Saturday, to add the flashing because, as he told us, he really didn't want us to worry about it while we were on vacation. The professionalism and class of Jeff Pendergraft combined with the excellent quality and workmanship of his employees to make Eclipse Roofing a Standard of Excellence! One more thing, even though it has been almost 2 years since Jeff and his crew installed our roof, Jeff absolutely refused to let me pay him any money for the work that he and his crew did for us!
