They do high quality work and their prices are reasonable. I would never hesitate to call them.

They were too busy to give us a quote, but they were upfront about that, so I guess they get an A.

They came when they said they would, and called in advance so we could be there. They cleaned the gutters and the roof, and didn't leave any materials behind on the ground either. Very thorough professional job. Price was not bad either.

We had a lot of debris on our roof from recent hail storms. We needed the gutters cleaned before the next rain washed all the debris into gutter lines and clogged our drains. They came out same day and inspected damage, fixed gutter, cleaned the roof and then around the house. They only charged us for a normal gutter cleaning (no emergency service fee). The guys were very helpful and thorough. I will continue to use them on a regular basis.

I had two gutter repairs that needed to be done. Duane Ward looked at the repairs needed and gave me the price of 850.00 for one and 750.00 for the other. I did not have the money for both repairs so I had him repair the one causing the biggest mess in my flower beds. The cost was 850.00. He did the work and I paid. I then decided to get some other prices for the other repair. I received another estimate for hundreds less on both jobs. I was very bothered by this. I spoke to Duane Ward and ask him how there could possibly be so much difference. He began by putting into question the integrity of the other company that gave me the estimate. He assured me if the company did my other job it would not be done right and I would end up with the same problem. He then began to school me on business and overhead. So, after my lesson on business this is what I have come up with. Th piece of guttering cost approx 20.00. Therefore David Hazen Group must charge 415.00 per hour for two guys that took an hour to do the job. I did not ask for a refund. I authorized the work at that price. I did make a serious error in judgement when I did not get other estimates. The company that gave me the other estimate is also on Angie's list and has an A rating. I have learned a very costly lesson. Hopefully other Angie's List members will always get more than one estimate. Lesson learned.

It required some follow-up work to get the leaking stopped, but they always came out, and we have had no problems since.

The work was well done, and ahead of schedule. Two things kept this from being a straight "A" rating: 1) Adjacent to an area being repaired, there was a knothole in an existing fascia board that we requested be filled in as birds were nesting behind it. It was left unfilled. 2) On both of the days they were there, someone left a plastic drink bottle in our yard. All other debris was cleaned up. Neither of these things would keep us from recommending this contractor or hiring them again.

It turned out just fine. They did a good job. I used their service once before. I really like them. I just like their responsiveness and they always do a good job for me.

It went well overall. Any glitches were handled responsively and with good workmanship.

Their employee came out just a day or so after I called and was able to disassemble, unclog the downspout and drain in lawn, and reattach everything. I am quite satisfied. (Will know for sure after the next storm!)

Pretty well. Job was started in late March or early April 2016, but the painting was not final until early June. I believe he had to come back to do additional painting.

Outstanding! All work was completed to our satisfaction. The guys were clean, friendly, and well prepared. They were prompt and cleaned up after every job. We've called them back to do more work for us and look forward to seeing them again.

They do stuff for us all the time. He waits until all of the leaves have fallen. He comes during the period in between when all the leaves fall and when there's snow. Their pricing is very reasonable. Their quality is fine. On punctuality it doesn't really matter because they get up on the roof and do it. They come over and tell you when it's time. You don't have to be home or anything they just go up on the roof and do it. Grading for punctuality is irrelevant, it doesn't matter. I guess I would give it an A in terms of time frame on when they come. Professionally they are fine, I guess. We don't usually interact with them. I would say the office staff is very professional. We use them every year & they've also kept the same price.

I don't stick with a person and use them again if they don't do well. Overall everything was very good. I have used him many times before.

They were punctual and easy to deal with. My interaction with them was good. The work they did turned out fine. They completed the service at a fair cost.

They did a complete and thorough job including repairs and upgrades to the roof before putting on new shingles. As a result we sold the house with no roof findings from the VA inspector.

Poorly. Despite repeated requests to take care, the crew got paint or drywall on carpet, upholstered furniture, area rugs and wood floor. In two instances they began painting trim that was not supposed to be painted, then left it partially painted. They used my dining room table as a work surface and damaged the finish. Later, I discovered they damaged the finish on a second table. I had to pay my housekeeper for an extra day to clean up the mess they made, plus an expert to restore the finish on my dining room table. It has taken my husband and me hours to clean up the drips of paint and drywall. The painting job was good in some places, but there were noticeable drips or bad brushwork in other places. They did not put all furniture back in place as promised. They washed their equipment in my kitchen sink, when steps away there was a utility sink in the laundry room (intended for this type of work). While my project supervisor offered more than a week after the project was supposedly finished to fix the problems with the painting job, I declined, as I didn't want to have to clean up another mess in different parts of our house. The supervisor assured me I would hear from his boss the next day. Instead, more than a week passed, and I finally contacted the supervisor, asking him when I might hear from his boss. He said he guessed his boss had gone on vacation without contacting me, but in any event, they wouldn't make any adjustments to the cost because I had declined to have their painter fix the problems with the paint job. No further comment about the damage they had done. I've spent hundreds of dollars on the furniture repair and extra cleaning, with more to go to repair the finish on my second table. I have worked with a number of contractors, including painters, over the years. The others have been careful to place drop cloths and plastic sheets in traffic areas and over furniture, carpet and rugs. I have never had paint on furniture, carpet, cabinets and antique rugs. Others who have seen the work and issues I named were equally appalled. I tried hard to raise concerns with the painters and supervisor while they were working, and my requests and cautions were routinely ignored. I would like to underscore that I 1) don't often write reviews and 2) have never written a negative review, so this is not a common experience I've had or a way I have ever had to address issues with someone who has performed service for us. If I felt that I could have fully or partially reconciled with anyone from David Hazen group, that is the route I would have taken. I'm dumbfounded that they wouldn't stand behind their work and seek to maintain me as a customer.

it went fabulously. there was a new problem with the roof. it is an unusual roof section...where turret meets the rest of the roof. they figured out what the problem was and fixed it. I remember a conversation with these folks back in 2015. I thought the estimate was a little high. they said it was because they guaranteed their work. and sure enough. they came back and did this new repair at no cost. no fanfare. they didn't ask me to write this review. I was so impressed that I chose to write this so others would know there are still great contractors out there that will go the extra mile to make sure their work is done well.

We have used him in the past for, like, exterior kinds of issues, like on the soffits and stuff like that. The leaves came down late and he sent an email saying he was sorry that things were pushed back because he was waiting for the leaves to come down. I have used them now for so many years that I have not shopped (for gutter cleaners). Whenever they show up, they show up and then leave us a note when they have been here and done it. In fact, this time it was actually a Saturday.
