The response to my service request was very fast. The crew was professional. Service was performed safely and quickly.

Went well. Quick. Courteous. No issues.

I called them over three weeks ago and they said they would send someone out. They would call me back and let me know when. I have not heard from them since.

It took over a month to get someone out to review areas and make an estimate..apparently many roof repairs had to be accomplished this season. Once the work needed was determined and estimate made, the actual work to be done moved rather smoothly. The repair was performed by two workers who worked diligently, were polite and informative, and appeared to have done a professional job , Good cleanup. Project coordinator made good connections with the power company and was responsive to my request at the end to have IP&L re-anchor the service line.

Everyone is super professional and they did excellent work for a fair price.

By high recommendations, I called the David Hazen to come out and clean my gutters in a very old farm house I recently moved into. They were fantastic! The gutters were in pretty bad shaped, but they did a great job on them. They also provided me with a very reasonable quote for repairing the problems with the gutters. They had it done very quickly, and everyone was great to work with. Very Highly recommended! Thanks!!!

They didn't take the covers off. They just blew through the openings. I am not sure how effective they were.

No issues or concerns, as usual. I have used this company many times. Lack of drama and problems is the norm. Kind of boring, which I like and appreciate.

The workman did what was promise,d but in a minimal way. When the job was completed, we found that mortar applied to the additional cinder blocks was unevenly applied with excess spilling down the wall and lumps on the floor of the window well. There was no attempt to clean up the older blocks of the bottom the well (though, in fairness that had not been promised). The rotten well covers had been put back in place. The overall appearance to us was a sloppy minimalist job. Moreover, in the next heavy rains we found that instead of reducing leakage into the basement the flow had simply been diverged to the section of the wall next to the work area. In fact the flow was worse than before because the increase of pressure of water was now bringing mud into the basement. When we call to express our dissatisfaction, it took multiple phone calls and emails to get a response. Despite a promise on the phone in July to revisit the work site and an email later in the month that promised the project supervisor would call us, no visit or call occurred. It was only a month later when we called and responded to a request for the balance of payment that I was able to speak with the supervisor. At that point he sent out a workman to clean up the sloppy mortar. When i expressed concern that the water problem had not been reduced, he stated that his workman did what was promised and that David Hazen Group really was not prepared to address basement water problems. I suggested that they should not have accepted the job and he did not argue that point. The grading work, while looking good, had been the inappropriate solution to the problem. We have since had the wall excavated and sealed by a different contractor, essentially undoing the work we paid David Hazen to perform.

They did a nice job with the repair with one exception; in the front of my house there is about a foot of turquoise pipe between the ground and the gutter and another 6 inches of turquoise pipe under the 2nd gutter. My house is all taupes and browns so the turquoise stands out. When I asked about it, they said that was the only color the pipe comes in and they didn't realize it would matter to me or they would have included painting the pipes in the upfront bid. I spoke to 2 different people about this after the job was completed. I was really disappointed however that they wouldn't just paint the pipes after our discussions. Considering they are in the repair business, that seemed like an easy and customer focused thing to do. The painting of the approximately 18" of pipe would cost additional however. I will now paint it myself. Though I am happy with the absence of water in my basement, the ending of this project soured my opinion of the company.

Extremely satisfied with the work performed and the quality of that work. The estimate was reasonable, and the work was performed within that estimate. I highly recommend David Hazen Group, and would hire them again.

Abysmally. The worst interaction I have ever had with a service provider in my entire life. The representative was extraordinarily rude and did a great disservice to the David Hazen Group. If this is the type of person that is vetted by the company to perform service in their name, then the letter grade of "F" is way to good for them.

This is to correct an earlier review I wrote of David Hazen Group. The negative review was based on a misunderstanding, which we cleared up today in a phone call.

Fine - I was not home but saw the results. They emailed me to confirm that I wanted service again this year and I was able to reply online.

It took two weeks to get an estimate and then the estimate was for three times the amount I spent on the deal. When I asked just to have the two hours of work done, per the deal, they refused. They declined to do any work if I wouldn't agree to the expensive estimate. Angie's List did refund the purchase price of the deal.

Took awhile to get to us, out of their routine schedule

The end result was great as our two story great room looks super! The price was right in line with other companies we initially contacted and we really liked that they were a 1 stop shop for our house improvement needs. Our jobs took a handful of days of work performed over the course of ~3 weeks by a few different crews which was reasonable. The main project contact/lead (Jason) was usually very responsive throughout the process and demonstrated a commitment to ensuring we were happy. The electrical and carpentry work were executed flawlessly. The new mantel, in particular, is fantastic. On the downside, the masonry crew, who performed the bulk of the work, while friendly were routinely 1-2 hours late (and on 1 day they completely failed to show and never called) and did a subpar clean up job. They also killed a few small patches of grass in our yard which had apparently been used as washout areas. A separate guy was therefore sent in at the end to get the house tidied up. It took him parts of 3 days but he did a good job on the final cleanup. The electrician also replaced and re-installed 1 HDMI cable to our TV that we found had been inadvertently damaged at some point during the process. Overall, we were very pleased with the final outcome and would recommend the David Hazen Group.

It did not got well. The worker constantly called in sick and they also pulled him numerous times to go do other jobs. A job that they said would take 3 weeks took 7 weeks. They never bothered to alert me if no one was coming and seemed shocked that they would be expected to even let me know. The supervisor of the job was fired during the project so, the worker had no one checking up on him the last few weeks and he took full advantage of that. No one came to inspect the work when the job was finished.
