The technician was able to arrive early, got right to work and had everything done quickly and neatly.

Called company because debris falling into fireplace from chimney and thinking about getting a gas log...company does both. Fireplace and chimney inspected and cleaned with source of debris found and cleaned up. Technician TJ very helpful in explaining problem. Also reviewed different types of gas inserts/logs with me - checked chimney/fireplace to see which would work best, explained pros and cons of different types and process of selecting and installing. Technician very personable, helpful and explained things well...he even took a few minutes to play with my dog. Cleaned up very nicely when work completed. I now feel safe about using the fireplace. (Company had warned me not to use fireplace until inspected to find source of debris....I appreciated that). Note: Amount spent includes a $15 Angies List discount. Charge seemed a bit high but could be this is standard for this service - I do not know. The service received for the money was indeed very good.

They were very honest in letting us know that our chimney did not need to be cleaned. They arrived on time and were very professional.

He came over and told me that I didn't need repair. He said he just needed painting. He was very honest!

We needed to have our chimney swept and inspected. Of course, we were informed that, in our old home, all 3 flues were not up to code. The guys from Cinder Box were honest and only swept the 1 flue that needed it. They recommended only the work they thought was absolutely necessary if we were to have a fire. But they were unable to admit it was safe to have a fire until we corrected ALL the issues to meet code. They got us up and "running" with a minimum of work. My only issue was seemingly high prices but in the end, due to all the different services required, they did work with me on the total which they didn't have to do. Ultimately, they were friendly, clean and courteous in my home, and very professional. You are definitely paying for the best if you hire The Cinder Box.

I?ve used them for several years. They are always very professional. They don?t make a big mess while doing their job. They come to the fire place in the living room and on the roof to clean it up, there?s never any mess in the process. They mostly use a vacuum to clean the inside of the house. I use them every year and I like them. So I stick with the same company. I can?t comment too much on price because I know the chimney sweep prices have been going up every year. I?m sure there are reasons for that. I would use their services again in the future.

They were fast and efficient, and kept everything clean by laying down a canvas tarp from the front door all the way to the chimney. The only concern I have is that they didn't climb on the roof to check the top of the chimney. I didn't think to ask them about it when they were here. They also fixed some small cracks at the lower end of the chimney. That fix took less than 5 minutes. I don't know much about chimneys, but hopefully that quick fix was a good thing. Overall, they seemed legit and they acted professionally. Would use them again.

I called around 3:00 on Monday and they came first thing the next day. They quoted me a price that was half what other companies quoted. I would definitely call again.

It went very well. The technician was timely, informed me of the extra services and their costs, and was able to complete all repairs quickly, neatly and completely. I was very pleased.

It was a good experience, the owner was very knowledgeable and willing to answer my questions. He even suggested that I didn't need to have the chimney swept as there were only a number of cobwebs and not much soot.

We had some minor confusion in communicating exactly what we needed performed and at the time he left the house, we didn't realize he had decided not to charge us for the limited inspection he was able to provide without risking damage to our chimney. I spoke to Tim the following week and he fully aswered all my questions to the extent that he could and made suggestions for our options to repair the chimney. I would certainly call them again for an annual cleaning and inspection

It was pretty easy. It was in and out. There was no mess. They were pretty quick to come out and give me an estimate. They then came out within a couple of days. It didn't take very long for them to do it once they got here.

The two men that came were very professional. They cleaned up the mess both inside and outside. They came out within 24 hours of my call.

Very responsive, quick service. On time exactly as promised. Were very considerate as I was the one running a few minutes late. Got in and out and did the job neatly and professionally. Even advised that my third fireplace did not really need cleaning so we skipped it. Will definately use again in the future. Very impressed by their professionalism.

They did an ok job, but we still experience small leaks.

They came the day after I called and were very punctual. They were very meticulous about cleanliness - they put cloth down and were detailed with their clean up. I was very satisfied with the price, they also gave us a discount because we were with Angie's List. They are very friendly, I have used them before and am happy with them.

I have used the Cinder Box for several years now annually to clean our fireplace and chimney. They are wonderful: gentlemanly, honest, thorough, and informative. They have never tried to sell us additional costly new firebacks or other work. I usually have some questions to ask, and they answer them thoroughly and add additional information. He was right on time and calls prior to the appointment. Although we live in another county and about 40 miles round trip for the company to drive, the distance is never mentioned. We had new carpeting installed this summer, and they were extremely careful to lay heavy tarps over the pathway to the fireplace and even surrounding areas. Although I believe that The Cinder Box services multi-million dollar homes, they treat our home with great care even though it is in a modest neighborhood. They do a fantastic job!
