Wells Heating & Cooling

Brent Wells and his crews have been taking care of out heating and cooling systems for 23 years. I can't say enough good things about them. Always responsive, timely and polite. We've had them replace the furnace and AC and do annual maintenance on both.

We have had prior positive experience with Wells including an emergency service at 10:00 PM in January when the furnace ignition system quit working. We had a response within 4 hours of our call. The serviceman was prompt, knowledgeable and professional. Our heat was back on by 10:30.The person who wrote an earlier review giving them a D is unqualified to express an opinion. Called at the beginning of the heating season expecting an immediate response for a routine service, foolishly discarded an invoice attached to a filter left at the door, and expected them to be able to service the AC in December! (Duh, you're not even supposed to run the AC when it's below 60 - how do you expect them to determine if it's working when it's 20?).This is a serious problem with the List. You shouldn't list a merchant when all you have is one review from a member who is an obvious crank. What standards do you have? I seems like you should have a minimal number of reviews before you smear a merchant's reputation with a D rating and that minimal number should obviously not be 1!But I guess Angie doesn't care what she does to destroy other folks' businesses as long as she's raking in the big bucks.

Called in October, was told there were no available appointments until the beginning of December. The company will not do both heating and ac in one service - they require two appointments, both costing $125 per appointment. Asked for filters until the service date, and company complied by leaving them on front porch a few days later while on a call in the area...I was very thankful. Owner's wife taped invoice to the filter box, which I did not notice. In November, owner's wife began calling to attain payment for filters, which I did not realize I owed. Thought I would pay it when the service person came for the appointment. I was told that the appointment was canceled because of the $50.00 invoice outstanding, and the company was not equipped to take credit cards over the phone. Owner's wife then left a demeaning, condescending message on voicemail - citing that she had called numerous times, and wanted the payment immediately because ' this was becoming ridiculous'. I have remanded payment, and requested to be removed from any and all mailing lists.
