SEARS HOME IMPROVEMENT PRODUCTS

Service required two visits. First technician was thorough & professional. Second individual was arrogant and rude when I asked simple repair questions.Since we are retired we seldom used the oven. When a daughter was home several months later she indicated the oven was not baking correctly. We bought a thermometer and found actual oven temp was 50 degrees below what the electronic control stated.A first letter to a Sears exec in Hoffman Estates was sent to the Sears "Blue Ribbon" (Ha! Ha!) customer center in Texas. They stated the parts had a 30 day warranty but would offer a service call if I would pay for new parts (approx $275).I stated the quality of the parts was the big issue and they should replace at no charge - especially on an appliance so seldomly used. No response.Another letter to an executive lead to a new e-mail from the "Blue Ribbon" folks in Texas indication Sears had opened a new claim number.Sears has made no attempt to contact us since that e-mail was received in January 2012.My opinion is that Kenmore appliances are great products - the issue with Sears is when the appliance needs repair and since work is contracted there is not the personal care that has been exhibited in the past.Most likely I will never buy another Kenmore appliance (Sears lost a customer of 45 years).

I called them to repair the ice maker in my fridge. The technician was extremely nice and professional. He ordered a part which I have received, then he's coming back to install it. However, I feel the service is a little pricey. So far, I'm very please with the service I've received. I will use them again for appliance repair.

SEARS DID FINE. THE WINDOWS ARE REALLY NEAT, AND THEY'RE EASY TO CLEAN AS WELL. THE CONTRACTOR THAT CAME OUT WAS PRETTY TALENTED, AND HE WAS EASY TO GET ALONG WITH, TOO.

THEY WERE VERY SPEEDY WITH THE WORK. THEY SHOWED US HOW TO USE THE DOOR. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS ABOUT EXPLAINING STUFF TO US. I LIKED THEM A LOT AND WE DO LOTS OF BUSINESS WITH SEARS.
