Angela Corbett (a realtor from Legacy Realty Company) represented the buyer for our house we were trying to sell in Fishers. Her buyer made an offer on our home on June 2, we countered and she accepted our counter on June 3. July 31 was scheduled for the closing date. We, in the meantime, put an offer on a home and they accepted our counter on June 10. Throughout the course of this entire transaction, our realtors claimed that Angela was unresponsive to text, emails and phone calls. There were days that went by with left messages and voice mails and never returned. Our realtors had to work directly with the lenders themselves because she was so unresponsive. When called she was unprofessional (chomping on food in the car as she was driving and talking) and showed total disregard for the urgency of getting our home sold with her buyer and carrying out the transaction. Either her buyer had no business purchasing a house with her track record in bad credit, late payments, refinancing her truck midstream and a week and a half before closing (which she should have been advised to NEVER do) or Angela has no business in the real estate industry. What a disgrace!! We were not just selling our home to move to a closer neighborhood; we were selling because a job moving farther away prompted us to move between both of our jobs so the new home we were purchasing was 22.5 miles from our Fishers home. This whole transaction cost us an additional $100 per month in gas ($300 total extra), $220 more a month in storage fees ($660 total extra), stress, time (which we will NEVER get back) and riding an emotional roller coaster for 3 months AND most of all to lose the home of our dreams because the sellers couldn't wait any longer. They ended up putting the house back on the market. Now we are back to square 1. Thank you, Angela Corbett. The first closing date was July 31. Then it was moved to August 7 (which cost us an additional $700 to lock it in for an additional week) After August 7, the next agreed upon closing date was August 28. At that point our interest rate formerly locked in at 3.875% jumped to over 4.64%. By doing the math, over a 20 year loan span at $54 extra a month, it was going to cost us close to $13,000 extra because of the rate jump. Again, total disregard for us the sellers. My advice is this: if you see Angela Corbett's name on a real estate for sale sign or, heaven forbid you enlist her services to sell your next home, don't just walk but RUN FAR AWAY as possible. You do not want to have her represent you in ANY real estate transaction. She is a NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
