's Fair, but not impressive !

I told the man what I thought the problem was and was told it should cost ~$200 if that was actually the problem. They called after doing diagnostics (which was supposed to be free) and said I was right but that it would cost ~$400. I asked what caused the increase and they said it would be harder to fix than the man anticipated. They freely admitted they were not the cheapest place in town for the repair. I accepted that and had them repair the car because I have seen many recommendations of their work. They called less than two hours later to tell me it was ready. When I picked up the car, I asked what the hourly rate they charged was. This was inconsistent with the two hours they spent on the car, and when I pointed this out, instead of telling me that they had more people working on the car than I had taken into account, which would have been an acceptable answer, they claimed it took twice the amount of time, which means they were charging for the diagnosis I was told would be free if I had them do the work. This may have been some misunderstanding between me an the person at the counter or the person at the counter and the people actually doing the repair, but I felt lied to. Since there are so many mechanics in town, and this first visit did not build trust, I will not visit again. I was pleased with the speediness of the repair (took the car in, with no appointment, at 10am and had the car ready at 2pm). They followed up a couple of times afterward to make sure the car was still working well (it is). Though they completed a check of my 12 year old car, they were not pushy about all the other things that would need to be done to make it work well (right now it's good enough to get me to the next one). I will not recommend for or against using this company.

My car's exhaust got extremely loud over the weekend. I arrived early Monday morning with no appointment. Beck's took down my information and said they would try to look at it as soon as possible and get back to me with a price. I was expecting to get hit with the cost of a complete exhaust replacement. They called 1/2 hour later and said they could perform a "section repair" on the exhaust pipe and the rest of the system was fine. The vehicle was ready less that an hour later. The people are friendly and professional, the place is clean, the work was done quickly and priced fairly. I'll definitely be a repeat customer.

The owner of the company is the kind of guy that will make sure that things get made right. It's a nice company to work with, they've been in business since 1972, and they are locally owned. They have that similar business model, everyone makes mistakes but they go the extra mile to take care of them when they happen.

The owner, Rob Hancock, takes time to personally follow up with everybody that he does business with. Their prices are average.

We have been using Beck service for our fleet and personal service needs for some time now. Rob, Caleb and the team there have done a great job with repairs and maintance along with keeping us informed about issues that we need to be budgeting for in the future. they are prompt and friendly and will even give you a ride to where you need to go.

Beck has done service on our fleet of trucks they always are very prompt on getting our vehicles back in service. The problems are always fixed with no call baks which is very important to us. They alwast advise us from repairs that may be needed in the furture

I have used Beck for years. They won my loyalty several years back when my 16 year old son had a problem with an aftermarket sunroom. He took it to Becks and they fixed it quickly and didn't charge him because it was a quick fix. This was a time when my boy couldn't afford to pay much for repairs and this was meanful to him. This repair was due to an alignment problem that was wearing the tires. The car couldn't be aligned due to problems with either springs or shocks. Becks agreed to do springs first to see if that would fix it. This 2 stage approach saved over $1000 due to the high cost of shocks for the Mercedes. Their prices are fair, the work is done timely and I highly recommend them. I go to Becks first in Lafayette.

As always Rob and his team gave us the straight truth about the work required and got us back on the road ASAP. Me and my family have used Beck's for our service needs for many years now, the folks are as honest as it comes!
