This was the wort experience with any company I have ever had in my life. I scheduled an apt. to repair my front loader washing machine to replace the seal on line. I requested the part number and provide the MN and SN of the appliance and asked they not come with out the part. The first available with in more then 4 days. Two times leading to the scheduled date I called to confirm they would bring the part. I was assured they would. The day of scheduled service of 12 - 5 window they said they would be late. By 7 pm I called to see if they were still coming. They said they were. At 8:30 I called again and assured they were coming with the part. At 10:00 pm I still needed the machine fixed so called again. They said the repairs closed at 7 and no one worked past that time. So I was told incorrect information, waited home from 12 - 10p for a repair and never received a call that no one would show. I had to reschedule the next day, so more time for me to be on the call. The Customer service was hard to understand and had incorrect information to provide. The next date for service was a week later. They could not make is sooner and did not apologize for no show and had no explanation for it. I was advised we were the first ones on the list for that day 12 - 5. Again I called multiple times to assure they were on the way with the part. I was advised the first call of the day they were on the way. An hour later no response, I called again and assured they would show and we were next on the list and he had the part on the truck again. by after 5:00 I received a call from the service man saying he was :30 away. I asked him to confirm he had the part. He had no idea what I was talking about and had no information on the SN. MN. or the issue. I asked him to call his manager before showing up and find the part I was assured he would have. He said he would and would call back or show up. After waiting an hour and a half, on a friday night at 6:30 pm for him so show. he did not show. I called the service department again, which takes a very long time to reach anyone. I was advised the technician said I threatened him and he was not going to show. I asked again for a manager to call and never received any feedback, never a call to advise of a no show. I was with out a washing machine for 3 weeks in good faith that Sears Repair would come through. I ended up buying a new washing machine so I could have it the next morning and called a service repair listed on Angies list that came the following Monday and had the part in inventory to repair it so we could at least avoid it going to a land fill. I will not purchase an appliance from Sears or work with their repair service. I also contacted the Sears store with the information so they knew the type of service provided and never heard back from them.
Description of Work: they did not show at all two times. The promised many things that did not happen.

I took my snow thrower to Sears Service Center on 12/4 and was promised to have product returned by 12/20. I was told that the equipment would be sent to Ohio for repair, but was assured it would be returned no later that 12/20. The receipt actually listed the dates mentioned. I was supposed to receive a phone call ONLY IF the cost was going to be more than $150.00, and if under that amount the repair would be completed without phone call. By 12/13 I had not heard from anyone so I called the number provided for repair services. The person answering the phone was actually a "service center" in Florida and told me the "repair slip" had been filled out incorrectly by the store and the repair was therefore delayed. I told them that we needed the repair completed as soon as possible as snow was expected in Indianapolis. They said they would email the actual repair center with my request, but with the Holidays approaching the repair center was on limited hours and it might take longer to complete the repair. I was told someone from the repair center would contact me as soon as the equipment was evaluated. I did not receive a call until 12/28 at which time the service center said someone would call me with the details of what needed to be repaired. At that time I specifically told them to go ahead and fix whatever needed to be fixed and return the thrower asap. I called on 12/31 and asked if the repair had been completed and they said yes, but weren't sure if it would be shipped that day. They said if it didn't ship that day, it would not get shipped until 1/3 and I insisted it be shipped on the 31st. I called the actual Sears Service Center where I had dropped off the equipment and begged them to contact the actual service center to make sure it would get shipped. I was told that they did not have any phone numbers for the actual repair center and the best they could do was e-mail. Thankfully it did arrive in the store on1/3 but without help from anyone. The overall experience was terrible! No one was helpful and everyone tried to pass the responsibility onto someone else.

I feel that Sears is overpriced and would rather use somebody small to work with. We have had good service in the past but I just think their prices are getting too high. I will probably use them again in the future.
