Russ came over as scheduled and assessed the problem. He said he could get started that morning although he had an afternoon job scheduled. He spent quite a long time digging down to figure out how far below the ground that the pipe was coming out from the basement. Apparently, over the years, the weight of fill dirt and rocks had pushed the pipe down from the connection. By noon he had to leave, and it rained hard the next day, so the following day Russ came back and dug a trench to relocate the new pipe and installed a pop-up drain that would channel the discharge water away from the house which would open the drain at the end as needed. He then cleaned up the trenched area and put as much of the sod back as possible. By next spring it will be hardly noticeable, except for the new, green drain over at the fence line. I couldn't be more pleased and thought the price was very fair. My only concern is that Russ is in semi-retirement and only works a few days now. I sure hope he's still available when I need him next.

They provide service for me all the time. They're dependable, knowledgeable and he's 74 yrs. old and he's been doing it for a long time. I never had issues with him.

Mr. Leatherman was on time and did a nice job of taking care of all the issues that I had with various plumbing needs. I thought the price was very reasonable and have already recommended him to a friend who has similar needs for a plumber.

The work went well with no problems. It was obvious that he had done a lot of this type of work before. There were no call backs, and he was careful and did a good job of cleaning up after himself.

His price was by far cheaper than anyone else. I think this is because he is the owner and operator. He did an amazing job and I was extremely pleased. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Our water heater lives in our little cellar under our house, which is accessible by trap door. When our old water heater began leaking Russ came and checked it out the following business day. He consulted with us on what we preferred to install. He researched and obtained the new tankless unit and installed it within a two days of our inital call. We have used Russ to do our plumbing since 2002 and would recommend him highly. He is honest, dependable, completely reliable, and reasonably priced.

They were prompt and professional but unfortunately were unable to find a leak at this time, which I was somewhat disappointed with but they spent a lot of time looking and seemed thorough.

Professional, friendly service from a pair of honorable workmen. I showed them what needed to be done. They explained what they could do for the repairs and wasted no time in completing the repairs. They also made some suggestions as they worked to improve the systems. (They vacuumed out the water heater. I had thought it must be possible and they offered. Wonderful!)

Russ and Don came out to give an estimate for all the work stated above. They took the time to accurately inspect the current plumbing and gave a rough description on where everything would be placed. After Russ was selected he came back out to mark out where the concrete needed to be broken up (concrete broken up by another company who was already contracted for another job). Russ and Don were prompt, quick and did a fantastic job. They were able to dig the trench, lay the new lines for a shower, toliet, urinal and line going to the half bath in one day. On day two they came back and finished the half bath and spliced the sewer line in for the laundry sink. If you wish to have a company who cares about their work and is very reasonable, they are the plumbers you want to work on your house.

Russ Leatherman can solve any plumbing problem. He's extremely knowledgeable, honest, fast, and reasonably priced. He and his working partner are a pleasure to work with. They're not just prompt - they're usually early. They've had to wait on me several times when they've arrived at the house before me.

It went fine. Adjusted some parts. They were working in my area so they came same day on way home.

Overall, they are easy to work with. Responsive, professional, and no-nonsense. As I stated before, I highly recommend them.

He was very cooperative and came down the next day. His estimate was reasonable and he did the work in a timely manner. He had the parts needed on hand and I would highly recommend him.

Russ and his assitant did a great job installing my new kitchen sink, faucet and garbage disposal I had bought from a local big box hardware store. Arrived on time and finished quickly. I've used him a couple times in the past and have always had a great experience.

When we found a leaking pipe in a long vacant house we had just purchased, we checked Angie's list for an individual plumber in our area. Since this was a Saturday during the holidays, though we found several possibilities, we were only able to personally connect with Russell Leatherman Plumbing. I think he would have come that day if it had been an emergency, but since no one was yet in the house we made arrangements for him to come on Monday. He arrived promptly with another elderly gentleman and began the work. Replacing the valve, he charged below his estimate and he was personable with us. Later in the day we discovered another leak in a different valve. Rather embarrassed we called Mr. Leatherman again. Unexpectedly, he was able to return within an hour and help us again! We plan to continue to use his services as long as he is able to continue to provide them.

Was very flexible with his time. I had to reschedule several times due to conflicts. Very nice to work with, very fair prices.

I have used Russ several times over the past 6 years, getting his name from a coworker. I called him on Saturday and he said he could come first thing Monday morning, which he did. He brought a co-worker to work with him, one under the house and the other outside at the faucet. It took a little over an hour to replace the faucet. He replaced the entire section with a new, frost-proof faucet. I did not ask for an estimate, since I know Russ to be fair in his pricing.

We have used him for about a year and a half. He's a one man crew. Honest and reliable.

I called Mr. Leatherman after getting his name from Angie's List since he lived close to me and had a good report. I described the problem and scheduled an appointment for two days later (on a Monday) after he gave me a verbal estimate of $125 over the phone. Mr. Leatherman arrived a few minutes early on Monday. He was very knowledgeable and courteous and went to work even though it was threatening rain. To make the replacement, he had to reconfigure the hook-up, since the pipe had been run around a floor joist during the original installation. This required an extra trip or two into the crawl space. It began raining hard but Mr. Leatherman continued to work, assembling the valve stem, packing nut, handle, etc., outside after he had completed the brazing work under the house.

Russ is a very honest and reliable person. In all of the projects we have done over the years, Russell stands out because of his dependability. He has been a great resource for us.

Russ tried to talk me through the repairs on the phone (which would have saved me money). I had replaced the float part but had problems with the flapper (he had to try a few to get one to work). I didn't have time to complete the repairs myself, as I had company coming from out of town and only 1 bathroom. He worked me in at the last minute, was right on time, and completed the job as per amount of time estimated.

Russ Leatherman provides superior service at a very reasonable rate. Russ's business is built on word of mouth marketing only. I discovered his service through our neighbor. We recently remodeled the basement and first floor level of our home. Russ removed low hanging pipes in the bulkheads of our kitchen and in the basement and moved them into the floor joist for our finished drywall ceiling. Russ also prepared plumbing in the lower level bathroom and kitchen for finished plumbing fixtures such as sink, toilet, etc.

Russ's work was outstanding. He was very punctual and took the time to understand the positioning of the new sink and toilet. He worked around our schedule for the other subs and was very professional in everything that he did. He was very meticulous in his work and left the work site clean and ready for the next subs (drywaller and electrician). We look forward to working with him on future re-model jobs.

THE DRAIN SYSTEM I NEEDED FOR MY NEW SINK AND DISHWASHER WAS COMPLICATED DUE TO LOCATION ISSUES, ETC. MR. LEATHERMAN DEVISED A WORKABLE SOLUTION AND IMPLEMENTED IT. HIS PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE, AND HE WAS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH.
