 + -1 moreI called and talked Tammy through our dilemma. I told her how a large chain company had come out and tried to snake it and told us they need to dig up our driveway inorder to solve our issue. She talked me through what they would do, and said that the large companies try to up-sell you esp if you are first time homeowners. She had one of her guys come out within the hour (on a Sunday) and take a look at it. He tried the normal snake like the other company with the same result. However, unlike the big chain, he simply chained the head on the snake tool and put a little muscle grease into it and bam! Line cleared! They fixed our issue for $125 and the large chain had quoted us at $5000 at the cheapest just an hour before. This is a quality company that really cares and knows their stuff. Tammy knew all about our neighborhood (Broad Ripple) and told us they would get us fixed up, and boy did she deliver! Thanks so much!

 + 0 moreSee our story above! We will always call R and R Plumbing company for our plumbing needs and refer them to anyone who has a plumbing situation that needs addressed.
Description of Work: R and R Plumbing company was referred to us by a friend. We recently discovered a hidden leak in our master bedroom closet. The problem was stemming from an adjoining bathroom in a hallway where the faucets, the tub drain, and overflow were located. Being an older home presented our service techician, Joe, with it's own set of problems. First, they had to find a special three- way valve as a replacement for the obsolete part. That took a couple of days, but service supervisor, Rick Herrin, kept me informed as to the status of the search for the specific parts. R and R Plumbing then called us to come out one more time. Joe needed to finish the original repair following the first tear out of soggy drywall. Next, came their drywall expert, Gill. I would have to say that this was a larger section of drywall to be replaced than I expected, but Gill felt it was better to do it that way because of soft areas still existing. The finished result of the drywall repair was perfect. Gill came out to finish the final touches on the closet wall. My husband and I were pleased with the results. I then went to turn on the water at the kitchen sink...oh no! We now had No water. I checked the other faucets. Still no water anywhere. Did someone forget to check the shut offs or what? I called Gill. He immediately returned and did a recheck, even going under our house in the crawl space to check the pressure tank and switches. Long story short , these guys ended up coming to our home numerous times. Pipes and new fittings were utilized. What they also discovered was we needed a pressure tank and suggested we call our favorite well company. Three days and no water has been an experience, but with persistence and experienced personnel from R and R plumbing, we are sitting with glorious, crystal clear water! Thanks, guys!

 + 0 moreI used them about two months back. I had a garbage disposal problem. They did some cleaning and we were able to fix it. The workman was pretty successful. I give them 'A's on everything, because they are pretty good. They did not charge because it's a new house and they installed the equipment so it was still under warranty.

 + -1 moreEvery time I call R&R Plumbing (317) 271-2553, their answering machine always picks up. The customer service representative is named, Rick. I'm guessing Rick is the only person responsible to answer and set up plumbing service appointments. After learning the company "dropped the ball" with my previous order and installation, I feel that Rick is embarrassed and does not return my calls. My customer service experience with Rick was not professional. It's a shame, because the plumber that rendered services to my home was excellent. The plumber was courteous, professional, and performed his work duties with satisfying results. I would definitely use the same plumbing technician, but I would NEVER use R&R Plumbing for their lack of customer service to its customers. I'll give a grade of "A+" service for the plumber, I'll give a grade of "F" for Rick, the customer service rep. I think it's time for the company to change Rick to someone who cares. I will never call them, they lost a customer.
Description of Work: The plumbing technician installed a tankless water heater. I was very satisfied with the end result, even though there were a few snags on certain parts which were ordered incorrectly from the distributors.

 + -1 moreR&R installed the original plumbing on my new home in 2005. Since then, my main shutoff valve handle failed, rendering the valve useless. I called up R&R and left a voice mail message. My message was promptly returned and an appointment was scheduled within 2 business days. This was not an emergency as the valve was stuck in the ON position. R&R employee Dan came out to replace the valve. He showed up 10 minutes earlier than scheduled and got the job done in about 30 minutes. I am very pleased with the work and Dan even answered my other plumbing questions. The price was reasonable and was the same I was quoted over the phone. I will use R&R again in the future.
Description of Work: Main water shutoff valve in the garage was replaced due to a faulty valve handle.

 + -1 moreI had used R&R many times before in another home to service a different water heater. They were my builder's warranty service repair company and even after my water heater was out of warranty in that home, they continued to service my water heater, replacing elements, etc., whenever I had problems (sometimes at no charge if they felt they had any responsibility in the problem; and other times waiving the service fee and only charging for parts). Because of their consistent honesty and fairness, I naturally thought to call them when disaster struck in my new home. The 2nd floor water heater poured 15,000 gallons of water into my home and I decided to move the water heater to the garage to prevent any future spills from causing such extensive damage. I was amazed when R&R plumbing came out to evaluate the job and gave me such a reasonable quote to do the job. After they did all the necessary rerouting of plumbing and installation of the new water heater, I was again amazed that the bill was exactly what they said it would be. Dan, the technician, is incredible. He is friendly, takes time to explain what he is doing, answers questions, and offers ideas to prevent problems in the future. He really knows his stuff and goes the extra mile to make sure a customer is taken care of. His high quality work and friendly approach was more than I hoped for during a very stressful time. I will continue to call R&R plumbing whenever the needs arise, because I can count on fair and honest treatment.
Description of Work: Moved water heater location from the 2nd floor (horrible place for a water heater) to the garage. Rerouted plumbing lines, removed old water heater (which had sprung a major leak and flooded my home) and installed new water heater in garage. Note: The defective water heater had been installed by a different plumber and had nothing to do with R&R Plumbing.

 + -1 moreIt went fine as far as promptness, courtesy, etc go, but I was surprised to find that the plumber recommended considerably more work than I realized was needed. As a result, the price was much higher than I expected. So, since it was to be elective surgery, so to speak, I decided not to have the work done.

Description of Work: R & R REPAIRED A LEAK IN A WATERLINE UNDER THE CONCRETE SLAB THAT MY HOUSE IS BUILT ON. THE WORK REQUIRED DIGGING A HOLE OUTSIDE THE FOUNDATION, AND MAKING A HOLE IN MY LIVING ROOM FLOOR. THEY DID THE REPAIR WORK AND WERE FRIENDLY, BUT DID NOT PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS. THEY MADE THE HOLE IN THE FLOOR WITH A SLEDGE HAMMER, RATHER THAN FIRST CUTTING THE HOLE WITH A CONCRETE SAW, WHICH MADE IT RAGGED AND HAS LEFT CRACKS IN THE ORIGINAL FLOOR. THEY LEFT A MESS, DID NOT REPLACE THE INSULATION UNDER THE CONCRETE, ONLY INSTALLED A VAPOR BARRIER AFTER MY INSISTENCE, AND THE CONCRETE PATCH IN MY FLOOR WAS UNEVEN. THEY DID NOT FLUSH THE LINE FIRST, AND I STILL AM HAVING TO REMOVE SAND FROM FAUCETS IN THE HOUSE.

 + -1 moreTHEY CAME RIGHT OUT AND REPAIRED THE LEAK! THE GENTLEMAN WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND GOT RIGHT TO WORK ON THE PROBLEM. APPARENTLY THERE WAS A PART IN THE SHOWER PLUMBING THAT NEEDED TO BE TIGHTENED, HE ALSO SECURED A WELD IN THE COPPER PIPING. HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND GOT THE JOB DONE QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY WITH ONLY REMOVING A SMALL 1FT. SQUARE CHUNK OF DRYWALL IN ORDER TO GET TO THE PLUMBING. I`M NOT SURE IF THEY DO GENERAL RESIDENTIAL PLUMBING OR JUST NEW HOME WARRANTY WORK FOR PLUMBING THAT THEY HAVE INSTALLED, BUT I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANY PLUMBING WORK! THE GENTLEMAN WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND WAS ABLE TO PINPOINT THE EXACT PROBLEM SO AS TO CAUSE MINIMAL DAMAGE TO DRYWALL AND CEILING IN ORDER TO DO THE REPAIR.
Description of Work: NEW HOME WARRANTY WORK FOR A PLUMBING REPAIR. I HAD A SMALL LEAK COMING FROM MY UPSTAIRS SHOWER WHICH WAS DRIPPING ALL THE WAY DOWN THROUGH MY DINING ROOM CEILING BELOW.
