Dave Mathews was excellent to work with to figure out the best choices to provide us with quality windows as economically as possible. Dave Strickland and his installation crew had great teamwork. They were careful, polite, industrious, and took the time (a crew of four for three full days) to do the job well. The windows are beautiful and work well so far. We got a Marvin estimate for this work, too, and we are very pleased with our choice of Pella and McComb.

In general I am pleased with the windows. Especially since some time has pasted since the installation. There were several problems and the resolution was not sufficient. To start off the installer dented the casing in my office. He showed me the areas that he dented the casement with the hammer. After he showed the damage he did not say a thing. After a few moments I stated "Well what are you going to do to fix it"? His response was "Well I guess I could fill in the dents and sand". I said that you can also paint the trim. Instead of filling he sanded down the casement flat and did not try to fill in the dents. I was later given $50.00 to repair the trim myself. The other problem was the J channel over the rear family room window was not installed correctly. I kept hearing that there was something wrong with the channel and I thought it looked like they installed and caulked the j channel twisted. It looked like if they took their time it the J channel would have been straight. I told the Mc Comb that the installation did not look anything like the original installation. I was told that there was something wrong with the J channel, but it was fine prior to the window replacement. After further complaining the service provider committed to replace the J Channel with the Pella stock color. I told them no. I did not want to see 3 sides of the window J channel match the siding and 1 match the Pella window color. I was asked to take a check instead of fixing the problem correctly. I did take the check begrudgingly. This same window which was a large picture window was scratched. They did reschedule and replace and had to be replace the window. That same installation had to double hung windows on both sides. . One of these windows was damaged during transit and had to be replaced.. All the windows need some track cover retro fit that was very minor, but this had reschedule at a later date.. They had to come out another date and fix one of retro fits because it was improperly installed. Overall I am happy with the Pella windows. At the same time the installation was more problems than it should have been. The fact Mc Combs would not fix a problems and just throw money at the correction was discouraging and poor service. The money was a cheep way of getting out of the complaint..

Salesmen arrived precisely on time and gave a thorough presentation. Price and completion date was set. Window was delivered as promised. Installers arrived precisely on time as well. Three and a half hours later the job was complete including clean up. Neat, professional and cordial. This was our second experience with McComb and Pella.. Highly recommended.

Not too impressed with thus company.

The salesman we met with was knowledgeable and professional. However, that was the last we ever heard of them. They were busy at the time of install so they had to subcontract out the install to another company, but they never told us. We weren't aware of that until the other company called to schedule a date to install. I would probably go through them again as we like Pella windows and they had a good sale, but we weren't thrilled with the lack of communication. Obviously I cannot comment on their install quality as they didn't do our install.

They were fantastic, pricing was very reasonable, they were 30% lower than several people on the list.

Everything was great. They were on time, did everything they said they had to do and did a great installation of our patio door. I had no problems. They took the time and did the job right.

I had a very good experience with them. The crew presented themselves well. They were good, professional and did a good job. I think they were the original company that out the windows in our home so we decided to use them.

It was fine- very good product and the installation was fine. They were very professional and I had no problem with them at all- in fact I need patio doors and I am going to have them come and give me an estimate on that. If they were very expensive, I wouldn't have used them. They are a very good company.

They are fantastic! We have used them before and they did a great job for us. They are exceptional installers. They are wonderful installation people. They do a really good job. You would never know that they were there. That's how good they are. You would never know these people had been in your house, that's how clean they are. We will use them again. They are going to put 4 more windows for us. They will be coming up here. They are just getting up some quotes. They are expensive windows but it's worth the money I pay for them because they have a lifetime warranty. They are always on time.

It was a fine experience. They were real good crew. They are very courteous and cleaned up. The quality was excellent.

It was a huge expense. They are top notch craftsmen and installation and guarantees. They are probably the oldest and they are reliable. They are also custom, they'll do anything you want.

Purchased a Craftsman type door with glass panel inserts. The sidelite was also a full glass insert. The doors look great. Have had a few problems with a cracks in the glass. McComb has replaced both no charge. The initial install and reinstallations were done when promised and professional done. Pella door is a bit pricey and the problem with the glass is the reason for the quality rating, McComb Window provided outstanding service for all the work done.

We have all pella products in our house and when we had to get the door replaced I wanted it to be pella again. It was so nice as they were booked and they was able to have a crew come before Christmas because we had a house full of people coming and I really wanted it done. It was really nice and they did a beautiful job. The salesman was really super nice but I would have to say the crew that came to put it in was super professional. The weather was icky and they did a beautiful job and worked hard all day. I was surprised it was an all day job but they was terrific. I have a big open entryway and he was able to wall it off with plastic so no dust got in my house. It was cold out and it didn't even get cold in the house. I have a big arch door and had a big hole there for like 2 hours. I will be using them again as I have ordered a side door already.

My house was robbed on Christmas Eve, the perpetrators kicked in two doors, destroying the frames. I wanted to replace all my exterior doors with stronger, more secure doors. I chose Pella due to the reviews on this site. I'm not disappointed, but I am also not impressed, hence my 'C' grade. First off, the salesman ordered the doors and scheduled the install, then two days before the install, he calls me and tells me the doors will not be in and we need to reschedule the install. I had already arranged time off of work, and scheduled an alarm install to coincide with the door installation. So then I had to reschedule everything, and the money I spent at my business hiring a replacement to cover for me while my doors and alarm were installed was wasted. They were kind enough to work with me and reschedule the installation on a weekend so I wouldn't have to miss anymore work, and I am appreciative of that. It was already off to a rocky start, but I thought the quality of the doors I would be receiving would make up for the installation mess. Boy was I wrong. The doors themselves seal nicely and seem to be very energy efficient. But the salesman talked me into fiberglass doors rather than steel. He said the fiberglass doors were actually heavier than the steel doors, after now having the doors, I don't see how that's possible; the fiberglass doors really don't have much weight to them at all. The salesman also said the frames would be steel reinforced to make it difficult for someone to bust through them like the thieves that robbed my house had just done. Well, I saw the frames, they're all wood, there's no steel in there, they're probably just as secure as the doors that were just destroyed. The installers also sawed through the hardwood flooring in my house to make the new frames fit. I understand this was necessary, but they just chewed through it with a power saw and now I have an ugly, uneven, 1/8" gap between the flooring and my door frame, I don't know how I can fix it to make it look nice, and I feel that for what I paid, they should've had a plan to fix it rather than just leaving it as it was. As for the storm doors I purchased, what a waste of money. The storm door does not seal shut tightly against the frame and one storm door has a 1/4" gap in the top left corner. In fact, I noticed there were large gaps between the doors and the frames of both storm doors after the installation and the installers were just going to leave it like that until I said something. They fixed those gaps, but I didn't notice the one in the top of the door until they had left. I figured it's no big deal since the doors don't seal tightly anyway, so it wouldn't make a difference if the gap was there are not. I guess the bottom line is, save your money. Go to Lowe's and buy doors and have them installed by one of their recommended installers. You'll get the same quality door and probably a better installation then you would by paying a premium and going with these guys. They're nice guys to work with, but just not worth the money.

I was extremely pleased with the professionalism of Paul. He knew that he didn't have the best solution at this time, and didn't waste my time trying to make his solution fit, but gave me honest advice on how to move forward. I didn't need anything from McComb Window and Door this time, but if I do in the future I won't hesitate to call them.

Was there any particular reason that you chose to go with this company? Because it had to do with Pella and I have all Pella windows and doors. Everything was fine. It's a Pella door and it is worth what I paid for it.

Overall, I was happy and satisfied. They were clean and friendly. The cost was good.

The quality of the window itself is wonderful and all the installers we had were always very good. I don't remember anything bad. I'm guessing they showed up when they were supposed to. The guys were all professional. I don't remember any problem at all with Pella. We had it done in three different installs and so we had three different crews. I knew they were going to be more expensive than anything else but they were also good windows. I would not use them on the house I have now because it's a reduction home. It would be overkill for the windows. I definitely would buy Pella again even though I would not use them in this home because the windows are way too good for the price of this home.

They could do a door and windows. I needed a door and it was a difficult situation and I didn't want to work with a second company to do my windows. I just wanted it all done. For what I was asking for they were right in line with everyone else. I can't say that they were the cheapest but I wasn't looking for the cheapest.

I had good service with them. They came out within a day. They had all my windows in and everything all cleared, cleaned up and picked up. I was very happy with them. They came in and did just one day and I kept thinking I would go back and get some doors but I just haven't had the money to do that yet. It was cheaper than Bee Windows and Unique Windows and I got a natural wood window with vinyl clad so its a much nicer window. I like that the guys were real friendly. They were very neat. They were fast. They didn't make any mess and what little things they did do they cleaned it all up. They were in and out of there in just a few hours. Wonderful I was so glad because last year is when we had all that cold weather and the summer it made a difference in my air conditioning and also had insulation put in my attic the year before that so it has made a big difference in my house.
