It wasn't too bad finically, he gave me a deal for all those trees. He will work with you. He cleans up really nice.

I wasn't home to give an estimate on taking downing a tree. His estimate now was around $500.00. He said we charge differently for homes in a rich neighborhood. It doesn't matter the neighborhood, the tree is the same size. I think his pricing is shady.

This is the second time I have used their service.  We have 3/4 acres and many mature trees.  I think their prices are very reasonable, and they do a good job of cleaning up all of the small branches when done.  They have all the right equipment and come with several workers.  I think they work safely, not only for themselves but also for the surrounding structures and plants.  I will definitely use them again when the need arises.

Jim and his crew showed up at the agreed time with ALL the necessary equipment for a job of this scale (bucket truck, large stump grinder, dump truck with tow-behind chipper, etc).  They did the job in about a half day and left the yard in good shape afterwards.  Jim also threw in an additional stump from one of my own earlier tree removals, and cut the root on both sides of the concrete that had cracked my sidewalk for no additional cost (I took the root out myself, and now the "toe-stubber" is much improved).  Jim's pricing wasn't the lowest of our quotes, but we have used him before, and the little extra was worth it for the peace of mind that it would get done correctly.  I recommended Jim to several neighbors, and would recommend him to others.  If you have a big job, these guys can get it done right.

They showed up on time, did the work requested.  Then they cleaned up, picking up all the branches, raking the yard of all leaves.  They also cleaned the sidewalks and the curb.  They left the yard as clean if not cleaner than it was when they started.  I have used their service for the last twelve years and each time they were very professional.

I have used him before. Everything with him is an A!

We have a creek in our backyard and I had to remind the men several times to remove the trees and not leave them in the creek. Their truck left several large oil spots and cigarette butts all over my driveway that took several hours for me to clean up. They were careless, forgetful, sloppy and left a lot of work for us to clean up.

 

          I needed a large maple tree removed along with two large rows of yews.  Jim came out the day after I called and            gave me an estimate.  I found him to be very fair in his price.  He was able to come out the next day to do the work.            He and his crew were on time and did a very nice job with their clean up.  I would use him again.

They did a pretty good job. The only thing that threw me off was they said the roots would die on their own but they didn't. Overall they did a good job.

They cleaned up really well. It looked like they had never been there. It was a good experience.

Jim came to the house and left an estimate about 3 or 4 days after I called. I called back to clarify something in the estimate and then confirmed that I wanted him to do the work. He said he would call back to schedule. After 5 days I called again and he apologized for not calling back; he said that some storms had set his work schedule back (still should have called). Rain further delayed the work due to concern over his equipment messing up my yard. The workers arrived about an hour after the previous day's estimate given, which was not a big deal to me. Work was completed within about 4 hours. All wood and brush was removed from yard except for a small amount of wood that was left for firewood, per my request. Stumps were ground and the mulch raked out. A small portion of my garden was smashed by the equipment which was discussed with me prior to moving the equipment; the tree was situated such (near power lines and a fence) that it would have been impossible to get their truck in position without smashing something. Overall I was pleased with the speed of the job and the cleanup. Any potential problems were discussed with me and decided by me prior to the workers proceeding.

We used Jim's tree service in August 2005 at the same property and the same trees. When the big hail storm passed through in April 2006, our walnut tree did not loose any large branches. That is quality service! Because of the quality service we received the last time, I went straight to my list of Angie's List reports and called again. Scheduling was a little flexible with my schedule and the rain. They promptly returned all my calls. They came in with the bucket truck and the grinder. Before the tree removal in the back yard, they removed a section of fence and moved the perenials out of the way. They also used my neighbors driveway - with advanced permission. The tree came down without incident and cleanup was good. The used a leaf blower on both driveways and raked the yard. The walnt tree was check in places and trimmed. It looked like they were a little agressive on the trimming, but Jim took me out to the street and showed how the tree was out of balance on one side and that they were actually balancing it. The end result was good. The tree actually looks taller. We expect to continue to use Jim's Tree service in the future.

I couldn't be more pleased. The price was more than fair for what I got. Next time, I wouldn't even get a second estimate. These guys are great.

I thought it was pretty good. They did a good job, as they did exactly what we discussed. We weren't home when they did it. They came out and gave an estimate and my husband talked to them then. When they came out to do the service work, they asked us to tape a check to the back door, which we did, and that was it. They did a good job.

The owner his self was at the job which made me feel better and he stayed until job was finish. His workers very polite. Hard workers.
