The installer was right on time, very professional and clean up after was excellent after the installation. Champion left stain if I ever need this for touch up in the future. I would use Champion again for another steel door between the garage and utility room. ( When I did price comparison around for other companies in September, they match/beat the price the other quotes given)

This was a very positive experience for us. Champion did what they said they would do. plan on removing window covering and giving access to windows.
Description of Work: A Champion sales man came to our home to show us their product. He was on time and respected our time. I was impressed with foam filled structure of glass frame and window frame. I also like the widows are local made and no middle man. We looked at much more expensive replacement windows and much less expensive. It did take right at six weeks for the windows to be delivered just like we were advised. Two men came out on the install day. They were very respectful of our home and property and did a very nice job. The installers put down drop cloths inside to protect floors and picked up every thing outside. My price may seem high but that also includes a color upgrade and a bay window.

In 2000 I used champion for my patio room enclosure and when I started looking for new windows this year in my current home I called and found out my sales Lady Lisa Sears was still working there. That says a lot about a company when the sales person you had dealings with 12 yrs ago is still there. So I called up 4 companies for quotes and champion was not the cheapest by far. But they were 1 of two companies that were on the ball and returned my calls and stay in contact with me and answered all my questions.I narrowed my list down to 2 out of the 4 companies and I started with and when it came right down to is, Champion had the better warranty on their product for the nearly the same pricing. My windows were ordered and came in 3.5 weeks early. They called on 7/29 to set up an install date and they installed them on 8/1. The sub contractor they used was very nice and professional and did a great clean up job. Since I have been so happy with this company I have recently ordered my new entry doors from them.

the sales person was very quick to come and make the sales pitch and take measurements and get the order. He warned us that it would take approx 6 weeks to get the windows from the factory. It took much longer than that. I had to make multiple phone calls and there were no updates m the company as to what was going on with the order. Then when it arrived there was a further delay because the wrong part had been sent. After that they finally came and installed the basic frame and told us that the glas would come in later and they could not say how long it would be. I had to call the area manger and talk to him finally after his intervention, the work got completed 4 months after the order had been placed. After completion, a week later one of the windows came apart and the glass was loose so I had to call them back to fix that. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had and would think long and hard before even considering his company.

I had no problem with the install or the time it took. My problem is with the company's responsiveness to a service call I placed over a week ago. We originally ordered the door with white hardware. It was shipped with nickel hardware. The installer said if we did not like it, we could have it replaced which we did about a month after the install. The new hardware lock sticks and is difficult to unlatch so I called last Tuesday to schedule service. I was told I would receive a call the following Monday JUST to schedule the service. I am still waiting for that call! I chose Champion because I had a window replaced by them a few years ago and was pleased with their service and quality. I am now starting to regret my decision to use them again. They have a decent product, but I expect more in customer service to support their product.

I have had windows replaced by another company in the past. I've been happy with their products, but not the pricing and sales tactics and wanted to look at another company. Plus it has been a long time since the other company got a really good rating here. I went to the Champion showroom in Fishers with an approximate measurement of my window. I asked to speak to someone, half expecting to be told that I'd have to make an appointment to have someone come to the house and do a 2 hour show and tell. I was very pleasantly surprised to be able to talk to a salesman, Ward, who was very professional and courteous and answered all my questions. I told him what I had, why I was looking at Champion, and what I was looking for. He showed me the type of window I was interested in and discussed in some detail, the advantages of their window and their company. I felt that he gave me an honest story and was not trying to pressure me into anything. He also showed me their warranty and gave me a tentative price based on what I wanted and the measurement I brought with me; with the understanding that he'd have to remeasure to make sure. I found this whole experience to be much more pleasurable than sitting through the two hour presentation at my house. I got all my questions answered, saw the actual window in operation, saw the warranty and received a quote all in about an hour or so in their store; very nice. He also told me about their current promotion and the discount I was getting. I went away to think about it and called him back in a couple of weeks to make arrangements for him to come to the house, do the real measurement and get all the paperwork done. During that two week time period he did not call me once to see where I was on the decision, which I appreciated. The real measurement was slightly larger than my quickie measurement and so the price was a little more, but I kind of expected that. We got all the papers signed and he said that now that I was a customer any further purchases would be eligible for a slightly larger discount. And I did have him quote me on another window that I will probably do next year to lock in that price. He set up a time the next week for the installer to come to do a final measurement. I was told it would be 3-5 weeks for my window to be completed. The man showed up when he said he would be there and did the final measurement in just a few minutes. Within the time frame promised I was called to set up a time to install my window. I was told that it would take 1-2 hours to install. The installer showed up on time and quickly removed the old window. There was some rot below that fortunately had not gone too deep and he repaired that. The new window was installed and the frame wrapped in about 2 and a half hours, but this did include his time to repair the rotted wood area. He put down drop cloths in the work area and vacuumed when he was done and cleaned up and hauled everything away inside and out. I am very pleased with the whole process from beginning to end and will do business with Champion again. I did give their pricing a B rating as these kinds of windows are expensive; and that's from anyone who makes these kinds of windows. Still it was less expensive than it would have been from the other company that I have used in the past.
Description of Work: Company replaced a large three pane window, one casement and two picture, with a three-lite slider. Company also replaced some rotted wood that was under the window and coil-wrapped the frame.

I highly recommend Champion Windows if you have a need for replacement windows. Everyone there, the office staff, the rep & installers, were wonderful to work with! The installation took 2 1/2 days. The 1/2 day was spent with them cleaning the outside areas & a supervisor inspecting everything. Every day when I pull up to my home, I'm always surprised at the difference that windows can make with the home's appearance home!! My home was nice looking before, but the new windows with the trim have really added an extra touch of beauty!!
Description of Work: I have been very tardy in submitting a report for this great company!! I needed all of my windows replaced as most of them wouldn't open or would only stay open with the help of a small board! I had several companies come to my home for estimates. My father (who lives in Dayton, OH) had used Champion when he replaced all of his windows & was extremely happy. I stopped by the showroom & was shown the different types of windows. An appointment was made for a rep to come to my house, do measuring & give me an estimate. The price was very reasonable & I liked their windows & trim much better than the other companies. The windows are custom made at their Cincinnati site & since I had 22 windows plus a sliding glass door, I knew it would take some time. I was given an approximate date & they were right on! The 2 installers were wonderful. Very polite & professional; they worked from early morning until after dark. Having the installation in the first part of December, I was concerned about the weather. It did snow the second day but it did not stop the installers! I absolutely LOVE my windows!! The outside trim was my main concern in the beginning; however, I was so very pleased with it. The trim is a shade darker than my house color & is a beautiful accent to my home! Plus it is wonderful to be able to finally open my windows!!

We were able to schedule a weekend appointment very quickly and the sales rep was right on time. He was enthusiastic about meeting with us however, the appointment took a very long time - and after 1.5 hours we had to end the appointment due to another committment. We did get a quick estimate and the sales rep told us there were discounts available but would not share any of that information unless we scheduled another appointment time for him to come out. We were not told when we made the appointment for the estimate that it would take such a long time. We have decided to use another company for the work.

I took some digital pictures of my windows I wanted to replace and printed them up. I then measured the approximate size and wrote those on the pictures. I went the Champion Window showroom to get some estimates. The estimate they came up with was much lower than I had guessed. They did give me a discount for coming into the showroom with that information. They gave me the time to think about the offer they gave me without a lot of pressure. They were helpful in providing me the information for me to make my decision. I just wanted windows that were energy efficient. As an added benefit, all my new windows will open for ventilation, something that none of my old windows did. One thing I did shortly after visiting was going home and scanning my windows with an infrared thermometer on a cold day and the surface temp was 54 degrees F. I then scanned some energy efficient windows in another house (non-champion windows) and came up with a reading of of 64 degrees F. If you are not sure if you should or should not replace, I recommend doing this. This is what influenced my decision to purchase replacement windows. I did seek other estimates, which were inline with the price that Champion offered, but some places had trouble getting a good estimate on my large picture window since it was a custom size. Champion has their showroom in their current location for a number of years, or at least as long as I can remember, so I feel that represents some stability in the company. Also, my sales associate worked for them for over 10 years. Since these were custom size windows, it took about 5-7 weeks. They were on target with that estimate. Once the windows arrived, I was surprised with how quick they were able to schedule me. They were able to give me the desired day I had requested. Dan and Dan came out to install the windows. They did a great job from start to finish and left the area clean and hauled away the old windows. I would use those guys again when I consider having other windows replaced. After the work was completed, I found one minor issue with a vent lock. I called Champion and they were out promptly and fixed it in a matter of minutes. Once that was resolved, I signed my certificate of completion. I am very pleased with these.

My first phone call placed to set up an appt for an estimate was handled very professionally. My rep arrived promptly and was very professional in his presentation. He answered my questions and set up my installation date at my earliest convenience. My installer arrived right on time. He worked on his own and did an extremely effficient job of removing and replacing my windows. There was a mix-up on one of the bathroom windows and my installer got in touch with my salesman quickly and rectified the situation. He installed the window he had until the correct window could be made. The only hitch in the whole process came when the installer(not my original one) arrived to install the correct window. The new window was cracked during the installation so I had to wait again for a new replacement which seemed to take longer than I expected. The 2nd installation went fine, and I've enjoyed my new windows. They have really improved the appearance of my home and cut my energy bills noticeably.

I did not select them for the work. The man they sent out was impressive. He was an artist. I was amazed how he drew on paper, as good as any artist, exactly what my screened-in porch would look like. You knew exactly what it was going to look like based off his drawing. I had never seen anything like that. He was also good at communication. They could not compete with the price I got from the company that eventually did the work. I also did not want the most expensive glass because I was not making the room a 4 season room and their less expensive glass did not qualify for an energy rebate. Those were two reasons we did not go with them. There window is better except for the rebate because they could custom build them. I called and told them I needed them to come down on price, which they did. But it was not near enough. They were responsive, just not to my lower cost request.

When I hired them the patio door needed to be done immediately. My husband had already begun digging out the rotted wood beneath the door. Around this time my husband had passed and it was tough time for me. The sales person was very high pressure and I didn't like his attitude. At one point, he had told me "I didn't come out here for nothing." I am very satisfied with their work and their product even though its a little bit expensive. My only complaint would be that they are very high pressure with their sales tactics and their price.

The original salesman arrived on time, was congenial, and gave me the detailed estimate I requested. I gave an order and paid 1/3 down. A rep came on time, assessed what was to be done and measured internal and external dimensions for each window. We received notices on the progress of the window manufacture. The installers came on time and installed the windows in two days. They cleaned up all debris. We were given care and operation instructions on the windows. Appearance is very good. Operation is very good. No signs of leakage either air or water. Screens are sturdy and easily removed and replaced. Price is 0 because we had very unusual windows.

The quality of the product and the service of the sales team and installation teams was excellent. There was a significant delay from the time we placed our order to the time the installation was finished. Better updates on the delay and the expected completion would have been nice but they worked with us on the final price and we couldn't complain about the promotion they had in place when we bought the windows and doors.

The windows turned out to be so heavy that I can hardly open them. In addition, they are actually dangerous because since there are no springs they are like a guillotine when they are being moved from the closed to the open position. I would never even think about letting a child or elderly person mess with opening or closing these windows due to the hazard they pose. In addition to the safety issue, it appears that the manufacturer has surpassed the performance specficiations (if there are any) for the materials used to make these storm windows. I belive that if you ordered a storm window 6 foot by 6 foot, Champion would sell it to you, even though it would never work. The windows have been in for a year now and all the screens are sagging which leaves gaps for bugs to get in, the windows leak when I hose them down to wash them, they are dangerous and almost impossible to operate. The manager, John Richardson, came out to discuss the problem and the only solution they would offer was to put thermal windows in that were as large as the opening (I would need a hydraulic jack to open thermal windows that large). And of course this would be at my expense. I informed him that if anyone was hurt by these windows, we would be seeing a doctor, then a lawyer. I called them recently to complain about the sagging screens and the only solution was to add more clips. This only complicates the operation and maintenance of the windows even more. I would not recommend Champion because I feel they are only interested in making a sale, not finding solutions to the customers problems.
Description of Work: 6 replacement windows for my house and 9 storm windows for my gazebo were ordered and installed at my residence. The sales pitch is very high pressure and scripted. During the sales presentation the salesman continually pointed out that Champion manufactures their own windows and that they are all "custom" made. In addition, he made a big deal out of the caulk they used and showed me a tube with the Champion name on it. Said it was a proprietary recipe made specifically for them. The house windows turned out fine, but after seeing the installation process I doubt these were custom made for my house. The way they are configured these windows could have fit quite a range of opening sizes. Since they fill in significantly with this caulk and adjusting sides of the windows, the type of caulk would be very important. During installation the workers were using some off the shelf caulk (and lots of it) and I asked them about the Champion product. They said they were out of stock and that this was the same stuff anyway. In addition, there are many problems with the storm windows and during subsequent conversations with Champion, I was informed that Champion does not manufacture the storm windows. In regards to their pricing negotiations, that process feels like you are in Mexico haggling with the beach vendors. There is no fixed pricing and in hindsight, I feel like I overpaid for the product I received. During the course of the sales presentation the salesman was informed of the arthritis in my hands and that the most important feature of any window was ease of operation. Selection of the house windows was a no brainer since they were pretty much the standard thermal window with no size issues. I have a gazebo with large window openings approximately 56"X56". I was looking for a solution to cover these openings to keep wind and rain out and provide screening. Since thermal windows of that size was cost prohibitive, the salesman suggested storm windows. We discussed the issue of weight and he insisted that they would be easy to operate. He seemed to know his products and convinced me that this would be a good solution to my problem. Installation day came and they did the house windows first. Their installation team is top notch and do a marvelous job of installation. This part went fine. They installed the gazebo stowm windows and immediately there was a problem. They were supposed to have full screens, but came with only half screens. I was told this would be corrected. The full screens came and were installled on the inside of the window. This meant that in order to open the windows you first had to remove a very large screen. This was not acceptable and they came out and in order to put the screens on the outside had to cut away an entire section of framing and then added a clip to hold the screen in. "Whatever" is about all I can say about that.

I went to Champion's showroom to look at the sunrooms and I asked if they could build one in my price range because all of the ones that I saw were too expensive for me.The salesperson worked out a price and told me what the size would be.I chose the color carpet and whether I wanted the sunroom to be on the ground level or higher,I chose higher.

Lack of clean-up drops Champion into the "B" category. We had to clean our deck and outside doors/windows ourselves after the tracking and splashing involved in concrete cutting and pouring, and we had to clean the mud and dirt from our new concrete floor after the room was built before we could carpet. Otherwise a very positive experience from sales call (Greg Adler) to completion. Though completion seemed to take quite a bit longer than we were told, a holiday may have slowed things. Work crews showed up when we were told they would, we just didn't often know more than a day in advance when that might be. Competitive pricing, good quality and workmanship and extensive warranties win our recommendation over the several other companies we had bid for the job.
Description of Work: Champion built a three-season sunroom on our existing patio. (Cut concrete for footers.)

We met with Champions representative, Greg Adler, who walked through wtih us what we wanted. He wrote it out including drawings. He gave us information about the company with samples of previous work. Once the work started from taking down the old porch to building the new room we found everyone to be friendly, professonal and very qualified. We appreciated the communication letting us know when they would be here, what to expect and what was currently going on with the room. They worked around a backyard birthday party we had for our grandson and went above and beyond to make sure the grounds and room were clean and safe. In fact we were very impressed and pleased with the clean up everyone did each day. Everyone worked hard while here. At one point during the construction there was a miscommunication/misunderstanding in which we were very disappointed. At this point Tim Young, Division Manager spoke with us personally and worked with us to make some changes and make sure we were satisfied. We were very appreciative of their willingness to work with us this way. All in all we love our room! We feel it is one of the best decisions we've made as we've increased our square footage in a way that is truely enjoyable on a daily basis. We want to especially note that Jim and Greg are amazing skilled carpenters. And we especially appreciated Greg's suggestions, problem solving ideas and instructions regarding our windows.
Description of Work: Removed existing 10x10 screened porch and built a 12x21 all season room using 4 star energy glass, aluminum frame and vinyl kneeboard siding. The room peaks around 12' high. It has shingled roof with gutters. AC/heating unit and four electrical outlets. Custom vertical blinds on all panals around room. Indoor and outdoor lighting.
