When my husband and I decided that, we wanted to remodel our master bedroom, bathroom, and a closet, which is a pretty good-sized area. We went to their store and they had beautiful flooring and all kinds of things. We started looking with an older gentleman called Monty; he had to have back surgery so he turned us over to Jane Lowe who also works there. She and her husband owned Lowe Professional Remodeling. Jane was the one that helped me get it going and her husband Dave did the remodeling. It turned out above and beyond my expectations and I had high expectations. Our flooring, our carpeting, and the tiles came from EF Marburger Fine Flooring and I recommend them highly. They have beautiful products and unlimited variety of carpets and tiles. The whole remodeling job came up to $30,000 and that was labor, materials, cabinets, and carpeting and we bought between $5000 and $8000 worth of products from Marburger. Lowe Professional Remodeling started the project on May 29 and didn’t conclude until July 3, and it was done to perfection. It blew my mind away. I had the concept in my mind for nine years and it turned out above and beyond what I expected. Jane helped me get the flooring and the carpeting and the tiles. I had picked out some with Monty but it came to the point where some of them were no longer being manufactured. So when Jane took over, she read all the notes and just picked it up from there as if it was nothing. She picked out all products for me that was exactly what I wanted. She just read my mind by looking at what I had already picked out and she knew how I wanted it to be. She knows her job and she has been doing it for years. What impressed me about the store itself was the selection of carpets and tiles or just anything for a remodel in the way of solid surfaces. I had Cambria solid surface countertops, which turned out beautiful. It was expensive but I was doing it only one time and I wanted it the way I wanted. Their selection is outstanding and working with Jane Lowe was easy as putting on a hat. She just gives it all, she knows, she understands and listens. If someone is confused, or they are not real sure, she can guide them through, which makes it easy for one to make a decision. Dave and Tom that worked with her were immaculate. Everything in the store was kept neat and tidy. They made sure that there was never a mess or dust, just clean and immaculate. They went above and beyond. If something didn’t match up, they got to the point where it matched perfectly.

Marburger worked with us to find a carpet which they did not carry for a better price then the company that did handle the product. Carpet layers laid the carpet using two seams (outstanding), Laminate flooring was installed properly and looks great.

Overall, we had an amazing experience with EF Marburger. We did a full gut/remodel of our 1950's ranch style home in the Arden/Meridian Hills area and used EF Marburger for all of the flooring and tile work in the bathrooms, kitchen and bar area in our basement. As we completed our house in different phases, we worked with them through our contractor for the entire first floor and then directly when we remodeled the basement ourselves. They did a phenomenal job on both the first floor and the basement. While we love all of the tile/carpet/wood laminate that we selected, I believe what puts EF Marburger above their competition is their customer service. Kelly and her team spent a lot of time in our home and they were always very professional and did a great job on every installation. There were a couple of tiles that my husband wanted cut a different way in one of our bathrooms, and EF Marburger came back out and did it within just a few days. Also, when we were pricing out different options for our basement (because we were remodeling ourselves and not using a contractor) EF Marburger was very competitive in pricing and knowing their customer service was so great we didn't even hesitate to hire them again. After going through an entire renovation of our home and working with MANY sub-contractors we know for a fact we would use EF Marburger again in the future.

I think they are very dependable, have a good selection, have good follow through, and have quality products. We were very pleased and would use them again.

Marburger sent out two hall rugs that I had purchased from them to have a pad attached to the back. They returned with a pad glued to them. When I put the rugs down, the glue started to come off on my floor. Marburger's went to great lengths to resolve the problem, which they successfully did. I will use them again.

Went to EF Maurburger's to look at laminate flooring since I had issues at another flooring store that the samples I was interested in were no longer available. I was assured by the saleman since they have such high volume that the sales reps were in frequently pulling old samples. I asked him to confirm the sample I liked best was available, but since it was Sat, he could not call, but found it in price list so told me it should be available. Their selection was very good and I took home some samples and found one I liked. I was hoping to get installed before Christmas, so called back the next day to schedule an in-home measurement/quote. The day of the appt, we received a call that their truck had broken down and the salesman couldn't come and we had to reschedule a week later. After the measurement, we received a call a couple days later telling us the flooring we wanted was no longer available! So after choosing another sample (and being assured it was available), I found out a couple days later that this floor had also been discontinued!! I was not very happy that I had wasted 2 weeks over this process only to find out that not just one, but two samples I chose were discontinued yet still on their showroom floor and knowing this had been an issue previously that the salesman did not call the manufacturer on the next available business day to confirm whether it was available or not. I ended up going with another company for the flooring.

Our experience was wonderful. We looked at a few carpet stores and were very impressed with the selections and knowledgeable people at Marburgers. We compared prices and found them to be competitive. We were sold on the longevity of the company & professional demeanor. We listened to their suggestion on product are are so happy with the outcome!! The installers took care to be gentle with our heavy furniture. They put everything back in its proper place. They vacuumed the floor and left our home looking absolutely wonderful. Our neighbors think so too. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for new floors. We are planning on having them out to give us a quote for new tile in our master bathroom bath in the spring.

We shopped around for carpet and were very happy with the carpet selection and the price. Our problem has been follow up. We have used them 3 times, too closely together. The 2nd installation was perfect. The 1st installation is rolling because it was not properly installed. One carpet layer was sent to lay a room that was 22' x 30'. It was not stretched and now has rolls. They will not fix it. The 3rd installation had a large stain in it, they proceded to lay it. They pieced together seams in both directions because the carpet piece sent was not large enough. They did remove the stain but we had to be at home for all installations. We were not reimbursed for the amount of time that was spent to get the problem corrected on the 3rd installation. The 1st installation they have sent people out to fix but the problem was not fixed. They now want us to pay them to send someone out to stretch. One of the rooms they did finally stretch and removed over an inch of carpet. They believe they should be paid to do it to the large room. The original good price for the carpeting is not worth all of the frustration. Go somewhere else.

We like E.F. Marburger due to its large showroom and good sales team. Felt very little pressure to buy and when we did buy we received prompt installation and good follow up. There product is a bit more high end than what you get at the big box stores, but we thought we got good service and value from this company.

The experience with them went very well. They have great selection, they were very accommodating and they were amazing. They were very easy to work with. I don't want to compare but we did look at other places and there is no comparison as far as the selection. They really had a variety of collection and wide range of tiles. You kind of think when you go to that kind of place where it might be super expensive but it was not. They had a whole range with good prices and quality. They were reasonable and had much bigger range than other stores. They were very accommodating about letting us bring some sample and we brought home a lot of samples.

Overall I'm disappointed in the service I received from EF Marburger. They came recommended by my realtor, were located nearby, so I gave them a chance. What I bought I believed to be a high quality Mohawk carpet. However, once the carpet was installed I began to notice some issues that I was not happy about. The store initially did not provide the warranty documentation, but eventually did after several requests. The primary issue with the carpeting is that it seems to experience higher than normal wear when being vaccumed. After vaccuming one time I noticed some minor change in the appearance, so I performed a test on a remnant. After vaccuming this remnant repeatedly it was clear that regular vaccumming would cause change in the the carpet appearance that was not acceptable to me. I took the remnant to the store and they agreed there was an issue and made a claim with Mohawk. An independent inspector came out and did a review. During his visit he made several suggestions, the two most important being that Mohawk recommends "suction-only" vaccums for frieze carpeting, and that my particular vaccum (brand new Kenmore) would not work because the 4 height settings were still too low to prevent damaging this carpet. Several months passed by and I never heard back from the store or Mohawk. I contacted the store sales person but wasn't getting any information and ultimately the sales person was no longer responding to my messages. My primary issue with the store was I thought they should have disclosed this wear issue to me before buying the carpet and I wanted to know why Mohawk indicated you could not use a regual vacuum and I was not given this info either. I made a complaint with Angie's list to escalate the issue and the store immediately responded to me. They said they wanted to do whatever it would take to resolve the problem and wanted to send an expert from the store to my house to investigate further. I talked with their expert for about 30 minutes one evening and he told me his opinion after viewing my carpet and the remnant I had tested (that they originally filed a claim based on what I showed them). His opinion was there was not a problem and he offered a rebuttal of all the information the other inspector had told me. He further mentioned that the vaccum I had was fine and would not damage the carpet. I certainly appreciate EF Marburger coming out to my house and showing concern, but ultimately telling me you dont think there is a problem after previously agreeing that you thought there was a problem is kind of unusual. At the end of the day I know from testing that remnant and looking at my carpet that if I use a regular vaccum repetedly it will make the carpet look unacceptable in appearance to me. So ultimately, we agree to disagree I guess and I canceled the dispute resolution because this charade had gone on long enough and it was going nowhere. Mohawk designed a carpet the gets damaged when vaccumed. After researching the internet apparently this is commonplace on friezes and other newer styles of carpet. I'm just disappointed the store either didn't know or didn't communicate this and after raising the issue they ultimately just refuted the evidence and made it clear they didn't think there was a problem.

The salesperson was very good at matching existing wood flooring. She was very good at pointing out what was not matched and how they could fix the color, type of wood, and its shine. The crew showed up on time and worked hard. The job went well. It was a big job, so it took a long time.

Everything was fine, but their price was little more than the other company. So, we didn’t use them.

They had a variety to choose from and was done in a timely manner. They also gave good advice for type used and also a good quality product.

I thought the price was a bit much. That was the reason I didn't go with them. Otherwise, they were fine.

I give them the highest rating. They were efficient, on time, and fairly priced.

I liked their selections and variety of price selection. They helped me choose the best colors. After I ordered the flooring, I lost my job, and I had paid for part of it, but, could not afford the installation and they let it stay in their inventory until I was ready to go ahead and pay for the installation. However, the plumbing work did not turn out good, so, that's one thing I did not like.

My experience with them overall, so far, I would rate an A because they listen to what we want and they showed us everything in our price range. They didn't try to up-sell us.

Linda Dunlap is the associate that we worked with. She was excellent. The first delivery of hardwood was not up to our standards nor their standards. They worked very hard to return it and replace it with a better grade of wood. The hardwood installation company they worked with was terrific.

They came out several times to assess the site, measure and create a blueprint of the floor before installation. The worked with us to help us keep costs down by telling us what prep work we could do. They have a high artistic level. They had a few little things to touch up after we paid them, and they came out. They are very honorable.

I REALLY LIKED THE FACT THAT THE INSTALLER WAS ABLE TO DO THE OTHER CARPENTRY REPAIRS TO THE FLOOR BEFORE INSTALLING THE TILE. THERE WAS A PROBLEM BUT THEY CAME RIGHT BACK TO FIX IT. ALSO, WHEN DOING THE TILE, SOME OF THE PLUMBING WAS DAMAGED. THEY IMMEDIATELY PAID FOR THE PLUMBER TO FIX IT. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND ON TIME. I THOUGHT THEY WERE VERY REASONABLE IN PRICE. I AM GOING TO HAVE THEM DO WORK IN MY DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM AS WELL.

THE CARPET WAS INSTALLED LAST YEAR LATE IN THE FALL (2002). WE HAD A FLOOD, SO THE CARPET WAS TO BE REPLACED EXACTLY AS IT WAS BEFORE. IT WAS SEAMED OPPOSITE OF THE WAY IT WAS BEFORE. SO WHEN THE LIGHT SHINES ON IT, IT'S VERY OBVIOUS. IT LOOKS AS THOUGH THE CARPET IS TWO DIFFERENT COLORS. IN ADDITION, THEY LAID THE CARPET IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. IT IS A PATTERNED CARPET AND THE CARPET ON THE STEPS GOES ONE WAY, WHILE THE CARPET ON THE FLOOR GOES THE OPPOSITE WAY. YOU FEEL DIZZY WHEN YOU LOOK DOWN. THEY HAVE TOLD ME THAT THEY'VE ORDERED SOME CARPETS FOR THE STEPS, BUT THE CARPET WON'T BE THE SAME DYE LOT, THE MANUFACTURER HAS CONFIRMED THAT. THE CARPET PATTERN IS IN TWO DIFFERENT COLORS, SO NEITHER DYE LOT WILL MATCH. THEY'VE TOLD ME THAT I'M GOING TO LIKE IT, AND IT WILL BE OK, BUT THEY HAVEN'T BROUGHT THE CARPET OUT YET, SO WE DON'T KNOW. THIS IS AN INSURANCE CLAIM, AND WE SENT THEM THE INSURANCE CHECK WHICH WAS OUR ERROR.
