Critter Control of Indianapolis

After six months of the problem and Critter Control trying one thing and another, Tracy finally was able to identify where a pine squirrel was getting into the attic, and eventually caught him. Noises continued sporadically, and eventually a mother chipmunk and three young ones were caught and removed from our premises. Noises and smell have stopped. Tracy was bound and determined to not allow these critters to defeat him and he stayed with us, coming daily and checking traps, baiting the attic, closing possible entry points, etc.

He did a good job. He came every day and checked until I was satisfied. They were quick to get out here and very thorough in inspecting the house trying to figure out where the critter was getting in. He came up with some possible solutions and followed through. He came back every day to see if one had been caught or trapped and to see if I had heard any more noises. They put up barrier to keep the critter from at least coming in that way. They charged $225 for the initial service coming out and they charge per animal trap depending on the animal. It was $25 for a chipmunk. They actually give you a break if it is a mother raccoon with babies so they don’t charge for each baby since it isn’t a full size raccoon.

We had a bat fly in our house and couldn't catch it ourselves. We called Critter Control of Indianapolis to see if they could find out where it was coming in and out of our house. They made sure the bat wasn't hanging out in our house with their thorough inspection. They let me know what to do inside our house until they could install an exit door and seal our house. They installed an exit door and sealed up all of the holes on the outside of our house (greater tehan 1/2 an inch). They got us into their schedule very promptly as I have young children in the house. They were out an hour after ny first call. They were progessional and on time.

Overall, the experience was good. They caught the mole & the snake, and everything went smoothly. They were very efficient. I'm happy with their services.

There was a horrible smell of dead animal coming from my bathroom. I called Critter Control of Indianapolis to come out and resolve the problem. Tracy, from Critter Control, called me back and scheduled a time to come out and do the work almost immediately after I talked to the receptionist. He was able to come out the next evening and spent a few hours cleaning out the nesting and dead baby bird from my bathroom fan vent. He not only performed the work on the outside, but had to remove my fan from the inside to remove the dead animal. He was very clean and told me everything that he was doing. He also cleaned out all the other vents on my house. He added new vent covers so that the problem would not happen again. Tracy also stopped by a week later to put the final cover on and remove more nesting that had been placed in the vent since his last visit. This was all completed for the same service fee. I was very pleased with the work that was completed and would recommend their services to all those in need of a similar service.

Critter Control came out to the house to try to find raccoon babies in the attic and remove them. We had already had another company come out and they were only able to trap the Mother; were not able to find any babies in the attic. Critter Control was prompt and checked the attic for babies but only heard them in the soffit - unable to reach them. However, the associate did say to keep an ear out the rest of the day for them to see if we heard any on the attic floor itself and he would call back later that day to check with us. He did call again as promised, we had heard a baby in the attic itself, the associate returned as promised and checked the attic again. He was able to catch one baby (which is all we heard). We contacted Critter Control because we heard from a neighbor that they were very thorough in their inspection and also recommended insulation removal, sanitizing, and insulation re-installation. The company we hired prior to Critter Control did not mention sanitizing or insulation replacement, so we wanted to bring someone else in to give us their opinion - and since they had recommended it for another home, we thought they would be a good company to try. The associate said he found no signs of anything in the attic (physical or odor) that should require us to replace our insulation. We were very happy with Critter Control and will recommend them to others.

We’ve used them in the past. It seems to me that there’s not a charge unless they caught any of them. Then you pay about $60 an animal. That could have changed now and that’s the way they used to charge. That was fine. It was kind of a one time thing and not an ongoing one. I think I was not here when they kept the trap and so I didn’t really have any personal contact with them. They accomplished what we had in mind. It seemed expensive. We paid a $120 for two moles but these moles can totally ruin your yard. They did get rid of them. I was certainly pleased. I don’t have any negatives on them. Their price was fair at the time what they were doing. Their responsiveness and punctuality were good. I would use their services again in the future.

Great! They came back numerous times until they caught everything living in the house. They were very flexible with timing, came back every day for a week/week and a half to resolve the issues.

First use was for the removal of 2 raccoons. One had been in our attic and the other came by a couple of days later to check out the first. They were removed. The employee was thorough, told us exactly what was going on and, was very professional. Because our insurance paid the bill, The division that does insulation work stayed in contact with us while we waited to have the roof repair work done. Once that was done, the work was quickly scheduled. They showed up on time, performed the work we had agreed to and it took less than a day. They kept us informed of where they were in the process.

They did an excellent job. We would use their service in the future too.

They were very prompt and did a great job. They come periodically, until they find the animal or pest. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

I don’t remember how much I spent. We had one of those Angie’s list deals for this work done. They were great. They got their work done. He came out and he checked again to make sure that the pests are all gone. I thought he went above and beyond what needed to be done. He put some sprays to get rid of the pests. He found that some of the wasps were actually coming into the house and he sealed up that area. That was really nice. He was not punctual at times. There were some times when I thought he’d be showing up earlier than he did. I would use their services again in the future.

See above. In addition, James had recommended a rain cap over an open flue chase. This required a third trip and customizing the fixture to fit the clay liner. It oook more time than anticipted but very professionally done.

We have been very pleased with the overall service and professionalism portrayed by everyone we have dealt with at Critter Control of Indianapolis. Job well done.

They were very thorough. They were very kind and informative. If they don't catch anything, they talk with you about changing placement of the traps due to the possibility that the mole could have changed is routine. They effectively ridded the property of moles.

Their work was real good. They did it in good time. It didn?t take them forever to get it done. My insurance company did pay up. The only problem was that their prices were a little high. So my insurance company negotiated with them. They got all the work done that needed to be done but at a price that the insurance company would pay. I was pleased with their work. As a matter of fact one of the workmen fell through the ceiling in the family room missing the ceiling fan by inches. The company did have someone come out and repair the hole. That was done in a timely manner. It didn?t take them forever and they did a good job. I was pleased with everything they did overall. I liked their timeliness. I liked the way they came out and told me what exactly they saw and what they were going to do. They got here in a timely manner and they finished in a timely manner. They cleaned up all the debris and didn?t leave anything. I would use their services again in the future only if my insurance company pays for the services.

They were great. They were able to get rid of the racoons and put a special guard over the chimney.

This job was complex in that it involved three attic levels; one with very difficult access. Therefore, there was some ingenuity required, which was demonstrated. The workmen were professional, friendly and very careful in not tracking dirt and insulation in the house. Their TAP insulation installation was superior to the original installers in that they used depth gauges to ensure proper depth. The work was completed as promised in two working days.

The person I talked to on the phone was very helpful. They scheduled a time to come see the situation and didn't charge me for the service call. They were on time for the first appointment and explained in detail what they would need to do. We scheduled an appointment for a few days later. The technician was early and waited nearby for the appointment time to knock on my door. He gave me the quote before he started working, which I thought was pretty high, but I was ready to be rid of the birds. He pulled out as much of the nest as he could reach then put up the chicken wire. The job took about 3 hours. Unfortunately, about an hour after he left 3 birds were stuck between the awning and chicken wire. I climbed up on a ladder and freed the "holdout" birds and we haven't had any since.

The project went very well. They were on time and very professional. Four months later we developed a leak in the ceiling fixture ( exhaust fan & light ) in the shower of our master bath. When we called a plumber to investigate, he discovered that the position of the exhaust vent had been effected by the reinsulation process. I called Critter Control after I received a bill of over $300 from the plumber and I was subsequently reimbursed by Critter Control for the entire amount. Brian and Robin were very helpful and courteous during the entire process.

We started hearing loud noises in betweeen our children's bedrooms inside the walls at night. We called Critter Control based on Angie's List reviews. Tracy came out and performed a very thorough internal and external evaluation of entry points for various animals. In addition, he checked our attics and the area where we heard the noise. He determined the type of animal (it was mice) and set traps and poison baits to get the culprit and eliminate future issues. Tracy communicated with us and was diligent in his follow up and analysis. The trip charge and evaluation was $175 and the baiting, trapping, and removal of the mice was $75, which felt very worth the money with the advice and services we received. We also received a 10% Angies List discount. We hope to never have to call Critter Control again :) but would do so in a heartbeat.

Had to call back in about 3 months & had to pay inital fee again. Did not leave traps very long after catching animals either time.

It went surprisingly well. They arrived quickly, got to work promptly and took good care of us. They made a largely unpleasant situation go away.

We felt very good about them and the service they provided. Brian was the representative that came out. We contacted DNR for any suggestions or information and we were impressed that Brian shared the same information with us. They came out three times. They placed a sleeve over the entry point, so bats can escape but can not come in. They caulked any other potential entry points. They also removed insulation and cleaned the attic. Once they were sure they were removed, they installed new insulation.

Very disappointing. He put packets in basement. Showed us where the rats were getting in and advised us to close the gaps. Offered no other services, even when I showed him evidence of mole destruction all over our yard. No followup from the company whatsoever since then. I was disappointed that he did not offer to set traps and come out and check them afterward. Was also disappointed that the representative from this company did not offer their services for other obvious pest problems we were having, because we would have paid to have them eliminated. Would not hire again.
