In the middle of December, our heating system started to malfunction. Heat seemed to be blowing furiously in one half of the house while no heat was being delivered to the other half. By the time we called KNZ for the first service call, however, the system stabilized, so of course it was hard to determine what the problem exactly was. KNZ thoroughly inspected the furnace and left detailed instructions for diagnosing future problems. When the problem flared up again in January, KNZ was willing to a) talk my husband through a few solutions we could try out ourselves, and when that didn't work, they b) came for a follow up service call and attempted least-costly solutions first. It turned out that both the dampers and zone board needed to be replaced. We were satisfied that the job was done correctly and although expensive, better for the long-term. We were further impressed with KNZ's willingness to be available for questions and assistance over the phone. They were very conscientious about leaving notes/markings where the work was performed, and also communicating to the customer.
