The placemats came in one week with no problems and the chairs arrived within 4 1/2 weeks. The table though was promised within 10-12 weeks, but it arrived at the warehouse damaged in 14 weeks. I was told it would be another 4 weeks for another table to arrive. After 4 weeks I called about the delivery of the table and the salesperson I spoke with didn't know for sure. I asked for an adjustment because of the delay and was told they could not give me credit because the table I was getting was worth more for the legs would be welded. They might issue me a $50 store credit instead for a future purchase. The table was delivered in 5 weeks instead of the 4 weeks promise. When it was delivered I refused it because of the pock marks around the edges of the top. I called the owner today and told her that I talked to the store mgr last week and she said that I should have expected those pock marks. I said that there was miscommunication because I wouldn't have known about the pock marks due to welding. The owner said I disparaged the store mgr because she would have in no way deceived me and the conversation was over.

This customer came to our store with specific requirements for a dining table and chairs. We were able to find a table and chairs from two manufacturers that the customer asked us to special order. Although the exact pieces were not on our floor, we showed her representative pieces from each manufacturer and showed her actual finish samples. Our policy on the cancellation or return of special was brought to her attention. She proceeded with the order. The chairs came in first, were delivered and met her satisfaction. The table came in damaged. We immediately contacted the manufacturer who offered to improve upon the construction of the table (at no additional cost) to avoid similar damage with the second table. The estimated lead time was 4 weeks but the table was delivered in excellent condition in 5 weeks. The customer did not like the table even though its finish and characteristics were completely consistent with the floor model. She asked to return all items purchased for full credit. Our policy as stated on the sales receipt does not allow for merchandise that is used to be returned after 30 days. She had been using the chairs for 60 days or more so we could not honor her request. We are willing to give her a refund for the table based upon our special order policy which includes a restocking fee. and refunded the amount of the table in full.
