Perma-Seal Basement Systems

Process was straightforward enough - only took about an hour from start to finish. They should tell you that the expanding foam will exit the crack outside the home. I went outside later and saw the mounds of foam already hardened stuck to and pushing out my siding. I had to use a knife to cut through and remove it. It would be good if there was some kind of shield to put in place to deflect the foam away from the home's siding. I could have put a piece of cardboard there to keep it from sticking to my siding.

The labor was great, but the scheduling was very difficult. Permaseal only provides wide windows for crew scheduling, and updates on the day before. Not convenient for dual-working parents.

Jeff K., a foundation consultant, came to examine a small leak in our garage. He said that he could patch it but that our real problem was actually the gutters. He examined the foundation around the house very thoroughly and clearly explained the problem. We were so impressed that he did not try to up-sell us. We will definitely contact Perma-seal for any foundation issues that we might have in the future.

I would highly recommend working with Perma-Seal for any basement sealing needs. Their sales representative, Jorge Paredes, was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. The Perma-Seal crew was on time and very professional. They did quick and clean work and we haven't had any water issues since the work has been done.

Our experience with Perms-seal began with a visit with Mr. Jorge Paredes, a most amiable gentleman. Jorge took a look at the wall and its cracks and after talking with him, he determined a solution. He wrote an estimate detailing the work to be done, along with a diagram. He also offered a discount, which was a great incentive for us. Finally he explained Perms-seal's lifetime warranty on their service. we were lucky to have service scheduled within a week, between 9-12pm.Pedro, the service technician, arrived at 9:45am and was finished by 11:00am or so. When he finished, he showed me what he did. He removed the previous patch material my husband used to stop the leakage. Instead he inserted ports in various areas of the wall where he injected resin INTO those ports and around the surface of the wall, all the way down to the floor. The resin appeared to be quick drying and there was no toxic odor, (yeah). I am completely satisfied, so far, with the professionalism of both Jorge and Pedro, as representatives of Perms-Seal. I also have confidence that the way the sealant was applied.

I wish I could have my time and money back. Such a headache over the last 2 years. We're on our third machine and they have been called out over half a dozen times for repairs. With each visit, that's half a day wasted from work and several visits have been cancelled by them last minute or the person shows up without the right equipment. The good repair folks we see leave the company shortly after. The bad repair folks install it incorrectly and questionably whether to code causing further repair headaches. Steer clear. Certainly nice people once you get them on the phone after a 20 minute wait but ultimately they can't get the job done right.

They did not make me aware that each crack would be a separate charge. They came two weeks later and provided a quote. The guy worked on one part of the wall and he informed me that nothing was wrong with the other wall. A few weeks later I noticed that water was coming down the wall that he told me was OK. I contacted the original salesperson and he informed me that he wanted us to be happy and will work it out. They never responded back and informed us that it is written in the contract. I believe it is their responsibility to take care of the other wall that had water coming down it.

Because it's actually something behind some other drywall and I didn't have anything to cut it. He couldn't find a spot. so he gave me his cell number to call him. He actually live close in the area and he said he would be out the next day. What I just had to do was cut that area. What I did was ran the hose from the outside, we could see it leaking, without cutting the wall open we couldn't see exactly was coming from it and he wanted to identify that. He did take pictures and all of that. He did not charge for the estimate.

Jacob got right to work tried just installing a new battery but found we had to replace the back up system. We look forward to seeing PermaSeal next year!

The first tech spent 10 minutes and told me at first battery was dead. A few minutes later he said it was good for a year. Did not do anything with pumps. I was promised that pumps and outlet would be inspected as well as drainage evaluated. None of it done. He handed me a sheet that said he inspected, removed pumps, checked ejector etc. All lies. I posted a negative comment on facebook to Lou Manfredini and I received a call from Pernseal that pm. They sent a new tech out the next day and he spent appx an hour + and performed all promised inspections and apologized for the lousy service the day before.

I couldn't be happier. Shortly after the cracks were repaired we had a significant rain and there were no leaks.

The representative from Perm-Seal Joe Sindelar was very professional and knowledgeable- no pressure to buy. We were able to take advantage of their coupon on Angie's List. Joe installed the system the same day that he came out for the estimate.

Top notch service and professionalism. Jake was so helpful and polite! Job was quoted and completed on the spot in less than an hour. Everything was cleaned up and trash was taken away. Could not be happier with the service! Highly recommend.

It was fine. The job was done and done right. The plumber did a good job, straight forward, no problems. Came on time, left on time, cleaned up well.

Waterproofing went fine. The sump pump has to be redone as it is located incorrectly. Perma Seal is correctly the problem this week.

To be honest, it went better than I expected. Mike Vecchione came in to our home, surveyed our issue, made suggestions of what he'd do in his home and why, and made us feel like we were getting actually serviced, not sold to. I would certainly recommend Perma-Seal, and Mike Vechione. He's an honest man who wants his customers to know they are being treated fairly and understand their investments.

Perma-Seal is by far the best basement waterproofing company around. Their personnel are always professional and possess a high knowledge of the systems that they install. We installed a back-up and drain tile system and have very pleased with performance. Today our annual maintenance check was performed by Allen Laundie from Perma-Seal. Allen was extremely professional and courteous and took time to thoroughly explain the maintenance process and also happily answered any questions that I had. Allen went above and beyond in my opinion and he did an outstanding job.

The job took 2 days. Each day, the crew showed up on time and worked very hard. They were very courteous and explained to us everything they did and why. They left our basement and driveway as clean as possible after this messy job. We would definitely recommend them.

Was very happy with the experience. The sales respresentative Dick Forcone and installation leader Martin Santiago were professional, responsive and explained everything before and after. Very happy with the outcome.

Really well. Kevin (our sales rep) came and and looked at the property, quickly identifying the work needed. He is very knowledgeable and did not "sell" us on anything, talked through the work that needed to be done in an easily understandable way. He got crews scheduled to do the work very quickly (extremely helpful because the house was on the market). Two separate sets of things were needed, and both crews that came out were punctual, courteous, and very professional. Overall, we a great experience, everything went very smoothly and was pretty low-stress (as far as major house repairs go!). We would definitely recommend Kevin and Perma-Seal.

Very thorough and found a little clog in the back up pump that was quickly dislodged. Was very professional and neat.

Perma-Seal customer service called the day prior to service as a reminder, and the technicians all phoned prior to their arrival. All of the technician's arrived within their scheduled time frame. Robert was the technician who came out and evaluated the basement. He spent about an hour taking measurements, answering questions, and then gave us a quote. He didn't try selling us things that we didn't need and gave us a number of options as to how we could take care of our problem. This job was done over the course of several days. Ray, the plumber came the first day to shut off the water and move water/softener tanks (this doesn't always need to be done, but did in our basement because of their location and it was completely our choice to do it this way). He reviewed everything he was going to do and made absolutely sure that I was comfortable having my water shut off for several days. He came back two days later, as scheduled, to put all the tanks back. The first morning, Marco, the project foreman, reviewed everything that needed to be done and told me what to expect. At the end of both days, he showed us the work that had been done and answered questions. It took 2 full days for our basement, but the result was great. We've gotten at least one downpour since, and everything worked well, but time will tell over the long run. We are also getting 2 windows done, but this has to wait until the weather is warmer. The Perma-Seal crew worked efficiently, were respectful of our property, and did a good sweep up at the end. I read some reviews in which people complained about the amount of dust created. This is a noisy, dusty job people! They're breaking up concrete! We covered most of our things in our semi-finished area with tarps and this helped. Be prepared for dust and noise! We hired Perma-Seal this time because they had done a great job on my husband's basement before he sold his house.

It's hard to know exactly how it went -- only time will tell if we don't wind up with more problems or a leak. But, we believe that the job was completed as it was supposed to be done. The crew was respectful and hard-working, prompt, finished in the time expected, and cleaned up after themselves.
