Jerry's Dust Free Flooring

It went great! We had a certain time frame the floors had to be done by and jerry and his crew were able to get them done beautifully. Jerry was very professional, always on time and prepared. There was minimal dust and mess . The floors look so great. Thank you!!!

We purchased an older house in need of a lot of work, which included getting the second floor bedroom floors, hallway, and stairs refinished & stained. I emailed Jerry one week before our scheduled closing date to see if he could give me an estimate. We emailed back and forth for about a week, and he ultimately told me he needed to come out in person for a quote. He agreed to the Saturday after we closed on the new house. I appreciated his willingness to come out on that Saturday, and the Sunday before we were to get the estimate, I asked him to let me know what time he could be there, so we could meet him at the new house. 10AM that Saturday he tells me he will be there at Noon. In order to meet him there in time, my husband went ahead to the new house to meet Jerry, and I planned to meet them there after an 11AM appointment at our old house. At 12:01 (one minute after our scheduled appointment for the estimate), I arrived to the front of the new house and saw the back of a white commercial van driving away, looking like it may have been parked in front of our new neighbors' house. I couldn't see any signage on the van, so I wasn't sure who that was, but I thought it would be odd that he would be done with the quote with my husband so quick... I go inside the house and my husband says he was in the garage the previous 30 minutes, and just came up to the house to meet Jerry, but he hasn't arrived yet. At 20 minutes after 12PM, I called Jerry thinking that must have been him I saw driving away. He says, yes- that was him, he came early and rang the doorbell, rang it twice, and when no one answered, he left, because he had another job to go to. I completely recognize that we were not at our front door to greet him at 12PM on the nose, but I was at least there 1 MINUTE LATER(!!). Our appointment was for 12PM, not 11:40, or 11:45, or whatever time he got there "early". What was really irritating though, was that he was so nonchalant about it. If he had a job that he had to be at, why did he even bother scheduling the appointment with us? I wouldn't even consider doing business with him again if he had even offered to reschedule, he was very unprofessional when I called him. I should have paid attention to the other D & F reviews.

We had a very positive experience with Jerry from Jerry's Dust Free Flooring! He is prompt, knowledgable and was on target price-wise. 3 contractors came out to give us a bid. Once we met Jerry, I just knew he would be our guy! We booked him right away. Our house is over 100 years old and we wanted to restore the original flooring. But it was not feasible with the nasty tiles, carpet and weird plywood that the previous owners used. Jerry gave us some suggestions and our new red oak floors (w/antique brown stain) look amazing. I love them. I was nervous about our stairs being slippery since they are very steep and he was able to re-build them and use a different coating making them easy to walk up and down. He is fast, clean and it is pretty much dust free! All of the machinery is new and it was always neatly organized by the time I came home from work, around 5:30PM. I would highly recommend Jerry to my neighbors and friends in the area.

Jerry and his team did an amazing, professional job. We absolutely love how the floors turned out. Jerry and his team were professional, and respective of our house. I was pleased they were able to remove the carpet and dispose of it for us. Would hire them again in a second. After completion of the job, we saw two drops of stain on the floor that needed a retouching. Jerry came the same day we called and took care of the floor boards. They look great!

Was prompt to give me an estimate, was easy to work with, professional, prompt when doing the work.. Floors look amazing and sanding process was really dust free.

Jerry's sanding was truly dustless. He was prompt and completed the job over 2 days. The floors looked great. I wish that we let his team pull up all of the carpet and carpet staples for the extra $250.00. That was a real chore for my husband and me!

I am writing this review after living with our new floors for the past 9 months. Since this was our first experience with hardwood floors, I wanted to wait to give my review. Jerry was prompt and very courteous and patient with all our questions. The installation went smoothly and as promised, there was hardly any dust at all. He cleaned everything up very well and moved all the furniture back after applying felt pads to protect the floors. Our floors are beautiful and after nearly a year, they still look great! We highly recommend Jerry. He does a terrific job.

Jerry came out and gave us an estimate for Sanding, Staining, and applying 3 coats of water based polyurethane. Along with this we had two "Above the floor thresholds" where this room meet with our foyer and kitchen to be replaced. This work included cutting out two sections of flooring and installing two pieces of hardwood flooring for the the thresholds. All of this was done using his Dustless refinishing equipment. Also two way furniture moving was included. This was hands down one of the best contractor experiences we have had. They showed up when they said they would. They treated our home like it was their own, and the communication was excellent. I was very skeptical of the "Dustless" process. We have had floors refinished before, and had dust everywhere. When Jerry had finished I can honestly say there was NO cleanup necessary. I even went as far as to run my fingers across the top of the window frames figuring something must have been kicked up, but I found nothing. The equipment they use is truly amazing. I had moved most of the small pieces of furniture ahead of time, but when the guys came they moved our Sofa, Love-seat, Dining Room Table, Armoire, and dresser to the garage. At the end of the first day they installed the two inlaid pieces to replace the thresholds, sanded and filled the gaps in the floors, and applied the oil based stain. The fumes were not bad as our family stayed in the house during the process. At the end of the second day they had applied three coats of water based polyurethane. The odor and fumes were very minimal, and I couldn't even smell it when I arrive home from work that evening. On the third day they returned to move the furniture back into the room, and they were all done. Overall this was a great experience, and we will definitely be using them again. It was refreshing to work with a company that did what they said they would, and even exceeded our expectations. I can't recommend them strongly enough. Our floors turned out beautiful!!

This company worked out great! Jerry was able to squeeze in our job right away when an unexpected opening came up. It was nice that he was willing to work the weekend and into the evening hours to get our project completed. The dust-free refinishing process was in fact very clean, and the guys cleaned up at the end of the project very well. I greatly appreciated that Jerry let me choose 3 stain colors to try out, which he put down for me to see and make my choice. It was really helpful to see the stain on the floors before making the final choice. They were also very patient and accommodating when our heat went out one day, and they were still able to finish the job that day. They were also kind to haul away the old carpet my husband and I had pulled up, for a small fee. It was a lifesaver! I would definitely recommend this company.

The hardwood floors in our house are over 100 years old. Jerry and his crew did a fantastic job refurbishing the floor. They match the old floor perfectly. The job was done on time, with great care and expertise. The house was left clean and dust free. He disposed of the damaged flooring and bags of sawdust. We get tons of compliments on the floor! The hourly rate for repair work was fair, yet, could have been better communicate throughout the process. We would highly recommend Jerry without reservation, and would hire him again if ever needed.

Jerry and his team were amazing!!!...please read on for all of the details. My wife and I were in the process of purchasing our new house in August. We knew that we wanted dark hardwood floors throughout our new home-to-be. Read the separate job description for exactly what needed to be done. Once we had our closing date we scheduled four estimates with only 5 days lead time since that was the only time we could get access to the house before we closed. It was important to us to have the job finished by August 21st so that we could move in right about when school started for the kids. Jerry was the first to arrive and he was on time which was important since we were on a tight schedule. He was very courteous and we felt comfortable with him right away. He promised a quote that same night and he delivered as promised. Two of the other companies made promises that they didn't keep in regards to quotes. Jerry never missed a deadline. Jerry's quote came second lowest of the four. We weren't looking for the cheapest quote. We were looking for the best VALUE and we absolutely made THE BEST choice with Jerry. An hour after we closed on our house (August 12th) Jerry met us there to deliver the wood and again he was on time. The house was empty and we gave Jerry and his crew a key to the house. He promised to have the job done on the 21st. Unfortunately, a couple of days after the job started we had a death in the family and we had to leave town for 3 days. Jerry was able to accommodate putting the stain choices on the floor a day early so that we could make a final decision before we left the state. We went with our first choice ebony and Jerry assured us it was a great choice and would look beautiful with the rest of the house. Jerry told us we wouldn't have to worry about anything while we were out of town. We left town and Jerry stayed in contact via email. Our floors were far from our minds, especially knowing that we had an immediate trusting relationship with him already. Three days later I am driving the sleeping family back home after a mentally tough trip and I decided to surprise the family and stopped at the new house at 2AM in the morning. We walked inside and it was amazing!! It was even better than we imagined and they still had one more coat to go! Jerry didn't even know we would be stopping in and the house and worksite were very organized and clean. The dust free system really worked too as it was very clean. Jerry and his awesome crew finished the job on time and the floors look AMAZING!! We have recommended him to everyone we know. This was actually our first Angies List experience and the reason I subscribed. If we hadn't found Jerry through Angiest List we would have ended up going with the same company that my parents and my brother used. Their quote was around $10k. Jerry and Angiest List saved us over $3000 and the quality was extremely high!!! Jerry and this job was such an amazing experience. Thanks Jerry!!

I would highly recommend Jerry and his team to anyone looking to have their hardwood floors redone. The schedule went exactly as Jerry informed us that it would. Jerry showed up on time to give us an estimate and said he would email the estimate within 1-2 days, which he did. It was not the lowest estimate that I received, but I felt very comfortable meeting him and felt his team would do a great job. His guys showed up on time and went right to work. They were nice enough to advise us each day when they were leaving as we were living in our basement for the duration of the work. As promised, the work was finished in 5 days and we love what they did. Not only did they refinish the floors, we had a few spots where the wood needed to be replaced. We were also highly impressed with Jerrys dustless machines!! Our house does not need any dusting after they completed the work which is a complete opposite of what I remember when I had the floors done about 15 years ago. This one referral made my Angies membership well worth the cost and I have another 5-6 projects that I am going to seek out contractors for.

They arrived early the morning of 8/28, got the furniture moved, and brought in their "great machine" for sanding. They had to hook the machine directly into our house main circuit, which was a bit nerve-wracking (I don't know if they required a 220 circuit, which we didn't have) and there was a bit of hit-and-miss with circuits taking out important household functions like the computer. But they eventually got that sorted and started to work. Noisy, yes, of course. But not dusty at all, and they were meticulous, getting decades of bad varnish off our floors. Because of the age of the floors, there were places where the floors were stained. They worked very hard to eliminate them, but there are still a few spots darker than the rest. In our opinion, this is fine with us - the house is old and its floors show its character. It took two days to get the floors fully sanded, and one day for the stain and varnish, and they came back the morning of the 4th day to move the furniture back. A little longer than we'd expected, because of the stains on the floors. The floors look gorgeous! As much as it was a pain living in chaos for 3 days, the end result was worth it. We're almost sorry we have area rugs covering most of the wood, because it looks so good. We have laminate in the living room and dining room, and Jerry believes there is hardwood under that as well. We've asked for a quote, and will be considering getting those rooms done at a later date.

They did an excellent job of refinishing and there was no dust as advertised. I found that Jerry doesn't respond in a timely manner to phone calls but if texted he is fairly prompt. I would use them again.

Jerry came out to give me a quote on refinishing 2 rooms and installing new hardwood in 2 additional rooms. He was prompt, professional and really seemed to know his stuff. I would have been happy to hire him if his quote came in at a reasonable price. I let him know that I was in a hurry (waiting to move into new house until floors were done). He thought he could squeeze me in. Jerry never followed up with an estimate! I was very disappointed. Since I was in a rush, he could have at least let me know that he couldn't take the job so that I could move on with another service provider. Yes, I could have called him to follow up. But I always think that if someone can't follow up in a timely manner presale that it doesn't speak well for their ability to follow through while doing the work. Just wish he hadn't wasted my time.

The floor was worn -- especially the 18 inches or so around the edges. Floor also had started to cup. Jerry sanded the floor, evened it out and applied a stain. His process really is virtually dust-free! The floor looks so much better now. Jerry and his brother did a great job, and they even moved the furniture in and out of the room. The process took about a day and a half and then they came back two days later to put the furniture back after the finish had dried. Jerry and his brother have a very pleasant manner and they work very hard. I would definitely recommend this company.

It was a great experience! I called Jerry and within a week he came out and gave me an estimate. He was very busy but was able to do the job the following week. Within 3 days my floors were finished and they are beautiful! When he says dustless, he means dustless. I was amazed.

Jerry quoted this job back in 2012 and when we contacted him he came right back out and provided updated quotes and was very good with working with us on our dates for start to finish based on the family having to be gone and when we could get the job finished when everyone returned. Jerry and his crew were great to work with and being a very detailed person I appreciated the time he took to be patient with us and work with us from everything regarding colors, timing, etc. Another thing we loved about this company was at the end of every day it was like they were never here - Everything was cleaned up and put back just as they had found it which was a big deal for us on a daily basis. They were clean, on-time everyday, never did anything they didn't tell you they were going to do and overall just a great and easy experience. Jerry also had to replace boards throughout the house and they look as good as the original boards now hitting around 100 years old. We plan on using them again next year to finish the remainder of the house on the 2nd floor. I just want everyone to know that I did bid out the business and having experience with this Jerry's company is a company you would want to hire trust us on this. I also wanted my front door done and Jerry let me know he and his team could also do this and can squeeze us in this year. They are willing to work with everyone!

Very professional and knowledgeable at a competitive price. Unfortunately they were scheduled for another job at the time we had available for our job so we had to use someone else. Jerry's would have been our number one choice, but the timing didn't work out. I would recommend them based on our interaction through the quote process.

Jerry was very professional and knowledgeable about the type of floor I had. Although the current floor is 17 years old and of lower quality than the type sold today, Jerry thought it could still be refinished and that he could find flooring to match it. He later told me refinishing the floor was not recommended and that I should consider replacing it. I asked him to provide a quote to replace it and to break the quote down between the cost to replace the current floor and to install new flooring the the carpeted area. He didn't break the quote down as i asked but quoted $6,590 for the entire job. Since replacing the current floor wasn't in my original plan, the price exceeded my budget. I emailed him and asked him to provide a quote for just the existing floor and a few other questions. I forgot to ask about accepted forms of payment so I immediately followed up with a second email about that. He promptly responded to my question about form of payment but never provided a quote for doing half the job. I would consider using him if he was interested in quoting me for the job.

The hardwood floor was stained and just a mess from the previous owner. Large spots from a previous rug padding that was stuck to the hardwood. Gross Jerry came out gave me an estimate and said he would get it back in shape with no problem. He sanded and sealed the floor just as he said. It came out exactly as he said. The floor know looks brand new. It's beautiful. We are very happy with Jerry's Dustless Floor sanding. We highly recommend him. Thank You Jerry
