Jerry's Dust Free Flooring

Jerry showed up to the appointment on time and walked my wife and I through the process of refinishing our floors. He was very flexible and accommodating to our difficult and changing schedule. He even went as far as to show us several samples of stain on our floor to aid in our selection. The quality of work is exceptional. I am particularly impressed with the stairs. These stairs have spent the last 40 year under a carpet and were in very poor condition. Jerry restored them to their original condition. In short, the quality of work exceeded my expectations and was completed on-time and on-budget.

He did a really good job. He was professional and prompt. It is in fact dust free and he did exactly what he said he was going to do. I was impressed with the work and would definitely hire him again.

From start to finish, Jerry and his two coworkers were very professional, punctual, and friendly. When he stumbled upon a few issues (our subfloor was rotted out by our front door and our existing baseboards were not hung correctly), he recommended ways to correct each situation and fixed everything for a very reasonable fee. Even with the additional work, he finished our floors on time. Our floors are gorgeous, and the transition between the new and existing floors is seamless. If you're looking for someone who really cares about the quality and integrity of the end product, I highly recommend him. We will be referring him to family and friends, and we expect to work with him again on future projects.

Jerry and his team came on time as planned, removed a carpet of the living room and installed the new oak floor. They also sanded the existing kitchen oak floor. Everything went well, no dust!!! Amazing!

I called Jerry at the last minute to come out and give me a quote to refinish the hardwood floors in a place that I was about to close on. The Realtor who gave me in to the property was running late. I ended up getting access 30 mins later than scheduled. However Jerry was prompt, on-time and even waited around until I got access. He was very friendly and professional. In the end I did not use his services, however based on all the great reviews in here and his professionalism I would highly recommend him and will definitely consider using him in the future.

While not the best price, the quality of the work was excellent and Jerry and his team were prompt and professional. It was well worth the extra cost to have them do the job and i would hire them again in a heartbeat. I think I will have them refinish our upstairs floors in a couple of years when they need it!

Jerry worked very hard to produce the effect he found acceptable.. He had a very difficult situation to overcome and during a very busy season spent a great deal of time doing a very very good job. .He was a pleasure not only to do business with, but to have him in our home.

Floors look GREAT! Jerry and his crew were great to deal with. We had to change days for them to do the final coat and they changed their schedule to fit ours. They kept us informed on when they would be doing each part of the project. They were very professional and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with job. We were so pleased that we had them give us a quote on another project in the house. Will refer them to friends who are seeking hardwood flooring needs.

Company came to our home for an estimate. Arrived on time & was very quick with measurements. I was told I would receive on email estimate later that afternoon. I still had not received an estimate by that evening, so I sent a text to see where it was. I was told that he was out of estimate paper, so he gave me the quote via text. He said that he would send a quote first thing the next day...said quote was never received. I didn't feel I should need to remind him to send it, especially f he wanted our business. We decided to go with another company.

They did an excellent job. There was absolutely no dust. They've got great machines. He was prompt and courteous.

They arrived on time and finished before the estimated completion time. They took great care in protecting all the flooring and open closet surfaces. The quality of the work was great and they left our home cleaner than when they arrived.

Jerry was prompt in returning my call, and coming to the home to give me an estimate. It was approximately 3 months from the time of the estimate to the time of service. This was due to my schedule, but Jerry still honored the original estimate. Jerry and coworker came in and removed all furniture, and used his dust free sander which was truly dust free. He absolutely brought the floors back to life. When he brought the furniture back in he put felt pads on the bottom of each piece. This wasn't part of the bid, but a really nice little extra touch. Would recommend Jerry for your floor refinishing.

Jerry and his crew did an amazing job on my project. My floors were in really bad shape - worn to the bare wood in many spots. Jerry's crew moved all of the furniture out of my house, removed carpeting that had been installed over my hard wood, sanded/repaired where necessary and applied finish. When the job was complete he put all the furniture back. The result is absolutely beautiful. My floors are like brand new. Whenever I told people I was refinishing my floors they warned me about how much work and mess it would be, but it wasn't at all. Jerry took care of everything. And since he uses a dust-free system there was NO MESS. The job was completed in a week. He was always on time and came when he said he would. I have no complaints and would recommend Jerry to all my friends.

From start to finsh was less than two weeks. Received a call from Jerry within minutes from my email requesting an estimate. He came out and estimated the job within a couple of days, I got a written estimate the same or next day, work was started approximately 3 days later, the work was completed in 3 days except for the furniture replacement and the furniture was replaced 3 days later. His dust free description was truely that, there was no dust.

We had obtained three bids for the job, and I contacted Jerry after reading the Angie's List reviews. Jerry's was the best price and was in line with information from a contractor about what the job should cost. We were impressed by his knowledge and timeline and happily hired him for the job. The process itself went very smoothly. With regard to his professionalism, Jerry was responsive, prompt and friendly... overall he was very easy to work with. He brought the wood early to acclimate to the house and started the job exactly when he said he would. The floors were laid first, and then the sanding and staining. The whole process took only four days, and he returned on the 5th day to replace the furniture, rehang a closet door, and insert the floor vents. Dust free? Pretty darn close. And as far as results, the floors are absolutely beautiful. It looks like a new house and we're so pleased with the results.

We solicited 3 competitive bids on our hardwood floor refinishing job in early June, 2012. One was from a company that one of our neighbors had recently used and we selected 2 companies from Angie's List. One being Jerry's Dust Free Flooring. All 3 company individuals were prompt & courteous in explaing their respective processes and in submitting their respective bids. Our 1st floor hardwood flooring s approximately 25 years old and was in need of refinishing after being lived in by our original family of five, several grand children and several dogs and cats we've had as pets over the years. Although Jerry's Dust Free Flooing did not provide the lowest bid we decided upon this company due to the "dust free" claim and after reading his reviews on Angie's List. Jerry was responsive to our questions often answering them within an hour or two. He explained our options of either water based or oil based sealants as well as provided a dozen to 15 different color stains from which to chose. He and his crew were very professional & meticulous when it came to performing the actual work and clean up. The work took approximately 1 day for sanding/repairing, 1 day for staining & a few hours on day 3 to complete the sealing. I am sold on the "dust free" processing as our neighbor had her floors refinished last winter and she is still cleaning up dust from throughout her home. My wife and I would freely recommend Jerry's Dust Free Hardwood Flooing to anyone in the greater Chicagoland area that might be considering either the installation or refinishing of hardwood floors. We will definitely use Jerry's company for any similar hardwood flooring needs. His estimate was right on target as well, there weren't any additional charges.

I'm pretty sure the fear of massive amounts of dust is what holds back most people from refinishing their wood floors. If this rings true for you, honestly, just call Jerry. I was skeptical of the Dust Free claim, indeed. Especially with the condition of our floors, seeming as if they hadn't been refinished since installed in 1901. I would poke my head in after a room was sanded and it was unbelievable how little dust there was. If there is such a thing as totally dust free sanding, this is it. Jerry and another worker showed up on Monday morning and knocked out all the sanding in all the rooms that day. Jerry himself is completely hands on, working very efficiently with the other guy to finish the dirty work that day. It was Jerry himself who came back each day to buff and add the next coat. He always showed up when he said he would, knocked out the job, and left without a trace. He is very helpful with any questions and is just generally a professional and courteous guy. From prompt estimate to job done, we're 100% satisfied. In and out in 3 days. My floors look fantastic. Jerry's Dust Free is the REAL DEAL.

Went extremely well. The guys came in and ripped up the old floor. They cut out portions of our old floor in order to weave the new floor in. The whole process was 3 days. Started Monday, applied the last finishing coat Wednesday around 5:30! No suggestions for do's or don't's. We are just very happy with the job that was done and the whole team.

Jerry is a pleasure to work with - professional, courteous, friendly. Responded quickly to initial request, arrived for estimate on time, emailed proposal within 24 hours. We had to change the start date last minute, and he worked with us to accommodate it even though he had other jobs scheduled. The job started and was completed on schedule, the floors look great and match existing floors on first floor. The dust-free process worked as advertised - we found very little residual dust to clean up.

Jerry was great and he always showed up when he said he would. They carried out all of our furniture as well as coming back a few days later to put it all back. I didn't believe that there would be no dust. Everyone I knew who had this done before said the dust will be awful. There was no dust and very little oder. We never had to leave the house in the 3 days they were there working. Jerry was great to work with and he really knows his trade.

The entire experience was very professional - from estimate appointment thru to completion. Work commenced as scheduled and was completed on time. As the owner, Jerry was involved not only in supervising the work but in performing the work. He did NOT just drop of a crew and then show up at the end to inspect and collect as some contractors do. Actual work was of top quality and Jerry clearly takes pride in his craft. Work was done with almost no extra clean-up for the customer. When he says dustless he means it. Having been in the construction trade I took note that he is very organized and keeps his equipment very clean and in proper working order. A very positive sign, as it demonstrates that Jerry performs to a high standard and his work shows this. Fully recommend Jerry - especially to persons wanting a professional experience. It will restore your faith that there are contractors available doing great work at a fair price.

We needed around 1800 square foot sanded and re-stained a darker color. In addition, tile in the front hallway needed to be replaced with hardwood as well as the stairs leading to the second floor. Jerry came over promptly, measured, and gave us a reasonable quote. He candidly let us know that re-staining the railing wasn’t cost efficient and would be cheaper replacing. He quoted us on that as well and included it in his overall price. When the floor was sanded, Jerry put a few colors on the floor so that we could see how the stain would look. Jerry and his co-workers were extremely courteous and finished the job on time. Any details that needed adjusting- he made and without complaint. The floors, stairs, railing and front hallway (the wood was woven in seamlessly) look great. Jerry and his team were a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him for your flooring needs.

Responded quickly to initial contact and visited promptly to provide estimate and explanation of services he would perform. Very accommodating with our scheduling requirements. Arrived punctually day of service. We paid half up front as a deposit, and I tried to pay him the other half when he was done with the floor. He insisted we wait until he returned to put furniture back and add floor protectors to our furniture. We had to put that off an extra week, which he had no problem with and was scheduled at my convenience. Jerry and his assistant performed the work. It was clear that he is expert and takes pride in his work. did an outstanding job. Virtually no dust or mess. I do not hesitate in very highly recommending this company.
