We used Radon Testers for testing in our home in Chicago. I was very pleased with the responsiveness and professionalism of the company. They are also very technology enabled - you can make appointments online, you will receive an auto text when they are on the phone and test results are sent in .pdf form via email. Great stuff!

He is very friendly, responsive and punctual. He has all around friendly service and is knowledgeable.

I found Radon and quot;Ronand quot; on Angie's List, and called because I needed to have a Radon Inspection done for a new home purchase. I was running tight on scheduling to meet the contract deadline, and they were able to accommodate me right on the spot. I requested to have some additional testing done in specific areas, and that was no problem. Radon and quot;Ronand quot; set the detectors on the following Saturday morning at the proposed home I was purchasing; and by the time we finished the Home Inspection the following Monday, Mrs. Bowers came by and picked up the detectors. She gave me an oral report right on the spot; and I received an email report the same night !! I will definitely use this company again !! They were pleasant, professional, and understanding of my urgent need.

It went well. He did what he said he would do, and there were no issues.

Ron was very responsive and was able to get the equipment delivered and installed with short notice. He engaged us in some conversation and clearly loves what he does. His associate returned 48 hours later to retrieve the machines and Ron called us the following day for payment and to provide the results. Our home tested in the 4-6 picocurie range which is above the action level of 4. Ron emailed detail results which showed the measurement by hour and by location, information about radon, and information about remediation (including referrals to local providers). He also included information regarding the legal aspects of radon as it relates to testers and remediators. Definitely recommended. This guy lives to do radon testing!

I called "Radon Ron" immediately after my husband and I come under contract on our first home. We had a very short amount of time to complete our inspection process, and Sarah came out the next day to get the process started. She was on time and very friendly, and we had our full report immediately after the 48 hour testing period. I would highly recommend using Sarah and Ron for your home's radon test!

Sarah was friendly and professional. She and Ron worked with my realtor flawlessly and conducted the test in a timely manner. They emailed me the results right away. The whole process was smooth and painless. I think the only complaint is that the actual machine print-out was hard to read in the scan. I doubt that many people would care, but my husband was very interested. The report itself was clear and very helpful. I would definitely recommend them.

We engaged Radon Testers via their online appointment form and everything there went off without a hitch. They called to confirm the appointment request very promptly and let us know they would take care of it. Although it was a tight timeline, they were able to schedule their visit to coincide with the home inspection, so we did not have to worry about arranging another time for us to be there. The technician who showed up was very professional, courteous and explained the entire process to us. The amount noted is slightly above what you may see for other companies because not only did we have the tester placed in the basement where you traditionally would, we also went ahead and had unit placed on the second floor where we would be sleeping. Incidentally, you can also have your granite counter tops tested as well since they can emit radon (since we do not have them, this was not a factor for us). The night that they picked up the units after they had been in the home the required period of time, we received very promptly a very thorough report that outlined exactly what had transpired (including a diagram of the rooms were the units were placed) and the test results. They report was detailed and very easy to read and thankfully for us all levels were normal. We would easily use the company again if the need were to arise. They made this portion of the home buying process worry-free. In addition, this company had been recommended not only by Angie's List reviews but by two separate Home Inspection Companies that we had talked to.

They were prompt and worked with the times that our inspector was already going to be available. We also received a report via email that detailed the results of the test as soon as it was done. The property passed with flying colors!

I needed a Radon measurement prior to completing the purchase of a single-family home. After I obtained a high reading using a hard-ware store radon self tester I decided to hire a professional to ensure the readings were accurate. Radon Testers scheduled a test very quickly after my call, I believe they actually placed the test equipment the same day. The test was completed on Saturday and they picked up the units and provided the readings that night by phone. They then followed up with an emailed report describing the testing and the results. I then used these results to have the sellers pay for the installation of a remediation system at the home. Radon Testers were then hired by the sellers to retest the home and they confirmed the mitigation system was working as intended. I was very pleased with the work that was done.

Radon Ron delivered the unit to our home the next day after I called and picked up the unit 2 days later. Complete report was submitted to me via email that evening. Very pleased with the responsiveness.

The reports Radon Testers provided were so thorough and helpful. I also appreciated the list of referrals they provided. It gave me something to provide back to the seller's attorney along with the reporting about the radon levels being high. As a potential buyer of an older property, this gave me extreme peace of mind. The report and documentation were so detailed, credible and helpful. It went well. Very uncomplicated. I originally scheduled the test before closing on my house, and rescheduled for after the close. They were very easy to work with and reschedule. Once the actual appointment date arrived, they arrived (on time), put out the testing machine, and left. They returned 2-3 days later to retrieve the machine and sent me an electronic receipt and summary of results.

Radon Ron and his crew tested a home I was interested in purchasing. Levels were elevated and testing pre-purchase garnered a credit from seller at closing for mitigation system installation as well as post-installation testing. Very professional interactions with Ron and his employees. They place "tamper-proof" stickers on windows/doors, etc. to prevent any shenanigans from home seller. Report is very thorough and easy to understand.

They were great to work with, very responsive (returned my call within hours to schedule an appointment) and were at my home within 48 hours to set up the equipment. The person that performed the work explained the process, as well as what potential remediations may be required if high levels of radon were found. He was on time for both the initial appointment to set up the equipment, and the subsequent appointment to remove the equipment. He told me the initial readings on the spot (confirming that I did not have high-enough levels of radon in my home to require remediation) then e-mail me a detailed report of the results within 24 hours. I highly recommend this test, and using this company, for any homeowner in the Chicagoland area.
