My condo building hired Platinum for a major mold removal and restoration project in 2008-09, and subsequently had them do a few smaller projects inside our unit in recent years. There are good reasons we keep going back to them. They do high-quality work and we can trust them to do whatever needs to be done right, and on time. We give them high marks for their professionalism, responsiveness and knowledge of the building industry. We highly recommend Platinum for anyone considering this type of work for your residence.

Very well. Rob Oldenburg came out right away (a big deal because a lot of people had water damage etc after subzero temperatures), contacted my insurance  company and got right to work removing all of the damaged drywall, etc. drying the space and repairing and replacing everything. His crew was extremely professional, punctual, polite and speedy. I would definitely use them again (but hopefully won't have to!). They never complained despite having to work in freezing conditions in our unheated garage.

These people are tremendous.  They moved the furniture to get the carpeting out and not one nick anywhere.  Every bit of carpet and mat was removed and put out by the road.  Several days later they came back to be sure that there was not any build up of mold or mildew.

They are always informative and keeps you in the loop of what is going on. They are all clean, neat and uniformed. They give a good presentation of their employees as well their equipment and vehicles. They are always on top of their work and their communication is great. The work they do is good and I have no issues with it.

Platinum Restoration's Manager surveyed the basement, and gave a firm price, which we agreed to. And that was exactly what we paid.
The entire crew, when they arrived, went right to work, and work, they did!  I have ever seen such a work ethic, and energy.  ALL the long day, they carefully removed all the furniture and All the other items in the basement. The project manager called for, and had delivered a "pod-type" container to store the basement items and keep them safe and dry.  Every manager and all, each of the crew, besides  being extremely hard-working, were professional, clearly communicated, kept updating the progress of the project, and thorough in every step, took gentle care of our belongings.
Not only was our basement totally cleared, but it was finished, completely clean, and neat.  I would ABSOLUTELY hire Platinum Restoration again, and recommend them to our friends and family.
In fact, we may hire them, perhaps as soon as next week, to complete the finishing work, too, since a family contact we made arrangements with to to restore/re-finish the basement, back in early June, so far, more than a month behind, late in coming to do the work, and we know that Platinum Restoration will do wonderful quality work.

After meeting with a couple of builders, we decided to go with Platinum Restoration.  While they are known for their fire, smoke, flood, mold remediation services (think - your basement floods, they dry it out, and rebuild it like it was before), I felt they were the perfect company to do our basement.  Aside from having firsthand experience with many different kinds of basements, I was impressed by their craftsmanship and attention-to-detail. 
The quote/contract process was extremely thorough.  Based on the architectural drawings we provided, the quoting software they use breaks out everything - and I mean everything (down to the wax ring toilet gasket).  Knowing this was going be a significant investment for us, it was great to be able to clearly see where we had to cut back.  
Kevin G. was our project manager and made the entire process very easy.  We were very new to remodeling/construction and very novice in our understanding of the whole process.  He met with us to go through the plans and brought recommendations that we never would have thought of.  He was always accommodating to our changes (and indecisiveness) and was a constant presence at our house.  He ran a tight ship, and we were amazed at how clean and organized they kept everything.  He even had all the contractors come in and out of the egress window.  Not something we asked for, but it was nice not having to mop up footprints every day.  Sure, it got dusty during drywall, but they brought an air scrubber to minimize the dust on the upstairs floors. 
Robert and John were the main carpenters on the project.  They were amazing.  They were constantly looking for better/smarter ways to do things.  They are also genuinely nice people.  Once the project was finished, we commented about how we were going to miss them (although we have other projects in the coming years that I am sure they will be back).  
All of the tradesmen that Platinum Restoration brought in were top-notch.  Always on-time and, again, the quality of the work is excellent.  We couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.
