Andy and his team were fantastic and I would highly recommend them as well as hire them again for future projects. The on-site team was fantastic, efficient, friendly, and did a great job with clean up.

I asked that they call before they come, and they called the night before. I was home, 2 trimmers came and trimmed the tree as requested. I was able to talk to them as well, to make sure a certain branch was removed. Every scrap of debris was removed to the end of the driveway - and then a giant claw crane lifted the trimmings off the drive and into the truck. I was very happy with the service. They were here for about an hour.

It's their busy season so it took a little bit to get the ball rolling. But once it did and I was next in the queue, they were in and out in a flash. Would definitely call again for anything around the place.

They did not respond within the 3-16 business days and I had to call a couple times for scheduling.

It went well. I will have to wait until Spring to find out if it worked.

pretty well... the maple was feet away from the blocks that make up our patio... the large equipment they used to take the tree down, and dig out the stump unevenly sunk a few bricks. we did not notice till a couple days later,.. i did mention it to them in our written assessment of their job - which they had sent to us, but no one followed up on it... and unfortunately neither did i.. trees along fence were taken down to ground level or till the inter-twining with the fence. i do believe they did the best they could there, though, i was hoping they could get the trunks that were stuck in the fence- out.. but they were upfront with me, and told me that those would not be removed.. we were able to take advantage of their "winter rates" which saved us some money. do not remember total, but i believe somewhere around $3,200 for both jobs... which was much less than davey tree... with kramer we worked with a tree expert named matt. we found him to be professional and informative, yet also friendly, and easy to work with..

It was a winter discount that they do after December 1 until sometime in the spring. I did not have much communication with them. They just showed up -- I had no idea they were even coming. We had a huge blizzard and had, like, 20 inches of snow on the ground. This tree is right in the front yard so there was, like, 20 inches of snow all around it. They sent these poor two guys out here. They could barely walk through the snow, it was almost up to their knees. They were trying to cut the tree and prune it with all this snow around it. It seemed to me like it was kind of desperation tactics. I just thought it said something about the company that they were not doing well. I felt like that was not an appropriate day to send a crew out. They could not have done a good job; they couldn't even get through the snow. To trim a tree in 20 inches of snow was kind of ludicrous, I thought.

I have used Kramer Tree for the last 6 years. They have always been professional and prompt. They clean my property and my neighbor's property when pruning trees. Their prices are reasonable and competitive with other companies. In the past I have had to have a large tree removed and two other trees treated as they were not thriving. Those trees are now doing great. I continue to use Kramer Tree to prune or treat the trees on my property.

We are working with a landscaper who gave Kramer Tree Specialists a good recommendation. I checked on Angie's list and Kramer Tree Specialist was highly rated. We explained to Tim what we wanted done and received a quote that we felt was reasonable for the amount of work that was being done. The office was extremely helpful and any time we had questions - the message was passed on to Tim and he was very good about returning our phone calls. After approximately two and a half weeks we received an email stating that Kramer Trees would be coming out the following day. The crew arrived at 7am and promptly let us know that they were going to begin their work. They began working and hauling away the branches. The crew members were very courteous. They worked hard and accomplished a lot. I had to leave before they completed the work. When I came home everything was nicely cleaned up - it looked fantastic. The Crew had trimmed the trees away from the house and ground the stumps. My husband came home and remarked on how professional the work was. We would highly recommend Kramer Tree Specialists.

They did a great job. They were nice people.

The estimate came back at $1200 for the tree removal and stump grinding. The person doing the estimate also stated that I should find a local landscaper to plant the tree. This is coming from a company that calls themselves "tree specialists". I had 3 different estimates for the tree removal. One was for $750 and the other was for $300. I chose the cheapest one and they did a wonderful job. I find it truly offensive that a company would try to charge $900 more to do the same exact job. I will not be using this company for any services in the future.

Overall this was a very positive experience. I reached out to Kramer Tree Specialists on Friday, May 1. On Wednesday, May 6, Tim from Kramer came out to do an estimate and followed up by email with the quote later that day. Out of four quotes we received from different companies for this job, Kramer Tree Specialists provided they most reasonable quote. We made the decision to proceed with this job and contacted Kramer to confirm on Thursday, May 7. We were told they would reach out as soon as they were able to firm up a date to perform the service. On Tuesday, May 12, Tim from Kramer reached out and informed us the crew would be there on Friday, May 15. We store our boat on the side of our house, and Tim asked that we move the boat out of the way before Friday so that his crew had a clear path to the back yard. We moved the boat the night before they came, and we moved our cars out of the driveway on Friday morning to give them as much room to maneuver as possible. I work from home, so I was there when the crew arrived around 11 AM. They let me know that they were going to begin work. The crew consisted of three guys who were courteous and seemed to do a good job. This particular tree was situated between our greenhouse, our garden and our neighbors fence, and they took great care as not to damage any of those areas. They informed me that the company would have to come back out another time to grind the stump, but I was fine with that as we had been previously informed that may be a possibility. They did a wonderful job cleaning up all of the debris, and left our yard as clean as it was when they arrived. My only issue with the service that day is that the crew stopped in the middle of the job to take lunch. I am sure for most people that wouldn't be an issue, so I don't want to make a big deal of it, but I work from home and and had a conference call that day. If they had completed the job all at once, they would have been done by the time I had my call, but since they took almost an hour for lunch, they were still out there at the time of my call. It was a nice day and I had the windows open, so between my dog barking (because there were strangers in the yard) and the chainsaw going, it was a bit hard to focus and a little disruptive, but really not their fault. I guess I was just a bit surprised that they would not have finished the entire job and then taken their lunch break. The other thing I found strange was that once the crew was finished they were parked out in front of our house for quite some time. I was going to move my car back into our driveway about an hour after they finished up in the back yard, and they were still sitting in their truck in front of our house. The only other issue we had with the company was that almost 2 weeks passed after they took the tree down, and we had not heard anything from them about the stump removal. On Thursday, May 28, I called the company to ask what the status was. We still had our boat sitting in the driveway because we wanted to leave that side open for them when they came back to do the stump removal, and we were wondering when we were going to be able to move our boat back to the side of the house. That afternoon I received an email from Tim saying he was sorry for the delay, and they would be out on Monday to remove the stump. On Monday, June 1, a guy came out and ground the stump. He seemed to do a good job. When he was doing the grinding, he took precautions to keep the wood chips from flying everywhere. He worked through, finished the job, cleaned up the mess and left. Although there were just a couple of small issues (that may not even be issues for some people), we would definitely use this service again if the need arose.

Called to get quote to cut down two 30 year old trees next to our deck. Someone came out the next day and we were provided with a quote to either trim the trees or remove them. Since there were many dead branches on both trees and one of them was leaning against our deck we opted to remove them. Work was done while we were gone and everything was cleaned up when we returned. The price was higher since we live in a townhouse area and it was difficult to reach the trees being removed.

Great group of workers! Very responsive to discussions and explanations. Left the area so neat we couldn't tell that anything had been disturbed!

They did what I needed, there work was excellent. He is a very nice guy. The service was so good.

The service went well. They were great with the cleanup after the job. I had no problem scheduling the service. We did have to call them back out to do a little more trimming.

The crew showed up right on time and began work. All of these trees were about 30 years old and had only been trimmed by me over the years (and only lower branches). They removed dead and excess branches up into the middle and top of the trees using ropes to climb. I could never or would never attempt to climb that high. Some of these trees are over 30 ft high. They also removed a very large branch from an ash tree that was growing into a nice maple tree. The ash tree will probably die soon and the maple tree needs to fill in where this branch was growing. The crew cleaned up when they were done, chipped and removed all of the debris. It probably took the four guys about three hours. It seemed expensive at first, but when it was all over I was glad I had it done. It probably won't need to be done again for many years.

The last tree service we used was, I think, Kramer Tree Specialists Inc. They are a good company. They came out and gave a proposal which was very concise and accurate. They understood what needed to be done and how to fix it.

We are trying to compare and see if we could get a cheaper price but as it turned out we decided we will go with them because we've used them for a number of years. We've been using them for 10 years. They come out right away and take a look at whatever your issue is and they do a very detailed quote. They'll email you their quote as well so you'll see a documentation. They're just a really long term company in this area and I feel that they are very trustworthy, they know what they're doing and they give good advice. We've used them twice this year. Once they came out and treated our ash tree. The ash bore killed thousands and thousand of trees around here and ours is one that is still looking great. It's an Asian bug and it's working it's way across the United States and it's killing all the ash trees. I thought it was a very competitive price and they did a great job. They let us be there when they did it so that we could ask questions and suggest other limbs to come down and look at it while they are doing it. They took down everything we wanted to come down and if it was something they didn't feel should come down that would make the tree outbalance in any way they would explain that to us. Someone will call you right away and they are very responsive.

Kramer provides excellent tree services. We've used them in the past to treat apple scab and provide pruning and fertilization services, and selected them again based on the past positive experiences. There was a small disagreement about what to do with the pear tree at first, but the Kramer representative worked closely with us, handled it all very well, remained very responsive, and everything was worked out very nicely. They did a beautiful job removing the tree and stump. The area looks like a tree was never there. We will be calling on Kramer to provide tree services again in the future.

Had a detailed line itemized estimate with diagram of property and trees in scope, a 15" DBH Honey Locust, 19" DBH Pear and 6" DBH Serviceberry within a week of calling. They explained they were on a 2-3 week backlog with work orders. Earlier than expect, within 10 days of our authorizing the work came home to find they had serviced the trees. Without altering the natural shape of the trees, they opened the canopies, pruned to give a three foot perimeter to the house and cleared out all the dead wood. Other than looking at the trees, you'd never have know they were there. There was no damage to the house, deck, patio or surrounding plantings. They cleaned up after their work with no visible leaves or branches left in the yard. I would highly recommend over other services I have used in the past. We plan to have them out to feed the trees in the fall.

I just had Kramer Tree come out and cut down 3 very large ash trees, a mulberry that was split in several places and a maple. My experience was very positive. An arborist, Seth, came out and agreed that the tree that mulberry that was split needed to come down and that the ash trees had the ash borer and it was only a matter of time before they would succumb. He sent a proposal via email that had a clear drawing of the property of which trees needed to be cut down where as everyone else just listed the trees in a list. I took advantage of the winter discount, (If you have work done between December 1 and March 1, they give you a discount as they are less busy). I asked the office manager for proof of liability insurance and they sent it over. The price was in line with what other tree companies were charging so it seemed reasonable. They brought out 4 guys in two big trucks. On guy operated the lift and did the cutting and other three cleaned up the fallen branches. It was very efficient. I asked if they could cut and leave some of the wood for my fireplace and they asked how much do I want. I asked for just wood over 6 inches in diameter but less than 10 inches and that is what I got, including them putting together next to my existing wood pile. They cut most of it into 18-36 inch sizes. They cleaned up almost all of the fallen branches with rakes. The guys they sent out were all pleasant to work with. They knocked on my neighbor's doors to let them know they only here for my trees and not theirs so as not be alarmed. I did recommend them to my neighbor and would call them back again.

Kramer was not the lowest quote. However, I was impressed by the "professional-ism" of the quote. That, combined with positive reviews, was reassuring. Additionally, the fact that they were local played a factor. In person, they were just as professional. Job was well done and clean up was excellent. My only gripe was that I had to wait several days for their quote . Other companies responded much quicker. In fact, I was just about to go with a competitor when the Kramer quote came in. However, given the thoroughness of their quote (they provided a map of my property with tree locations), I can see why it took longer.

I liked them and they were professional. What I didn't like was the estimated cost. I thought it was a bit hiigh.
