They did not use ropes even know they told me they were going to. I was gone when they showed up, but I left them a note on the door telling them not to take down a small oak tree, just as a backup, even though there was nothing in the original quote about cutting down an oak tree.. When I showed up, I ran to the back and realized that the oak tree was gone. I asked about it and he said that was part of the agreement, and I told him it was not. He then told me it was dead, which it was not. He spoke to my husband about the situation and he told us that he would do whatever it takes to make it right. We told him we want it to be replaced. He said he would replace it with a smaller tree, but before he did that he wants us to pay him the $450 that we owe him. My husband said we want it replaced with a 6 inch dimension of an oak tree. Again, he wants to replace it with a smaller size tree, which we do not want. He came back and said that he can show us a part of the tree, and we said no the stump is still in the ground and we can measure it. We have mentioned that if he does not agree to do this, we told him we could consider taking him to court, and he replied that is fine I know my legal rights. We have a quote with what he was supposed to do and there is nothing listed on the quote about removing an oak tree, only removal of two dead pine trees. I recommend never using this landscape service. He was very dishonest, especially knowing that it was our sons oak tree.
