One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning

It was great. They did a nice job and he was good. What impressed me was the man came with a new clean jacket and he already had a foot covers on. He offered some suggestions with my equipment. I asked him about another service that I am interested in. He couldn't install equipment that I purchased on my own. He even said that "I loved to do this for you on the spot but I love my job so I couldn't." He has the ability to do it for everybody but he could not compromise. He brought up the idea of the long term contract but I was in a hurry. They are automated too.

Cleaned and checked furnace and found a crack that would have never been found by me.

This worked out fine. He was really nice to work with and showed up on time. I had to have a part replaced, which cost more. The technician explained the work he needed to do and I confirmed the work he did online. He seemed very honest with the work. There was a little confusion with scheduling at first, but it was easy taken care of. Overall, this a good experience.

The service was good, I can't say it was super good, but I was satisfied. The heating was better explained, and better handled. I first did the air conditioning, and then I did the heating closer to winter. I was a little frustrated with the whole thing, because I ended up paying over 200 Dollars because of the parts and all. I don't think I understood what was included. The gentleman who came out the second time explained everything, what he was doing, and what he was going to do. Overall it was a good experience. I was not pleased with the air conditioning part of it, the furnace part was much better. I am not sure if the part that had to be replaced, actually was replaced.

Steve did an excellent job. I knew the fan motor was on its last legs - I had tried to keep it going by lubricating it, but it always ran hot. Steve tried an alternate solution to see if we could fix it in a more cost effective way, but then discovered that some other company had installed an aftermarket fan motor - but the wrong part. Woefully undersized for our furnace. He did a thorough job cleaning the furnace, answering all my questions and showing me every detail. He was professional from the time he walked in the door - booties to protect our floor - to the time he finished the work. I do a lot of business with local HVAC companies on the buildings I manage, and this was one of the best experiences I've had with repairs. Highly recommend.

I had a furnace which had been turned off for some time during rennovation of the apartment. I wanted to get it checked and cleaned, and also need a new thermostat installed. One Hour gave me the best price for both services. The technician was on time and professional. He recommended cleaning the blower motor and to use higher rated filters in order to prevent wear and tear on the furnace. He completed a camera check of the entire furnace and cleaned the burners. My only complaint was that I had to wait 3 weeks to schedule an appointment for the service. About a week after the service, I had a problem with the furnace as it stopped blowing hot air. The technician came back out within 24 hours and found and resolved the issue right away.

It was good. The man from the company came out and looked at my air conditioner quickly and moved out. He was professional and everything was good. There was no additional fee on top of the big deal.

We woke up on Dec 23 to a really cold house! We found One Hour Heating on Angie's List, called them, and the repairman was at our house that morning. He was professional, and explained exactly what was going on with the furnace, and outlined our options. Such a great guy, we wanted to invite him for lunch. Our house was warming up by noon. Can't ask for better than that!

These guys were awesome! Mike Jones was the lead technician. They knew what they were doing, were friendly and professional. I liked that they put on shoe covers without me having to ask. Mike suggested I order a better filter which could be customized to our weird sized furnace and we did. Am excited (over a filter!) to have cleaner air and less dust! They were able to show me the inside of my furnace with a camera, took digital pictures to save on file and discussed what actions to take in the future. All their suggestions were very helpful. I also spoke to them about a member club program which we will consider for the future. I also liked that all the work was recorded on an iPad and emailed to me, so I have a copy for my records with all the information we discussed and the work that was done today. I also like that they have it immediately in their system and I don't have to worry about it the next time I call for a tuneup or any other issues that may happen. They were good, but the only thing about this one hour service is it's simply diagnostic. They just came and looked at it and maybe cleaned the furnace but they did nothing beyond that. Maybe that was just what it supposed to be. The person who came here was professional. I think he spent the time necessary to look at everything. In fact, I had a question on one of the furnace and I had him do more than what was on Angie's List and he was able to give me the explanation. They knew what they were doing.

I utilized an Angies List special for $49 for 22 point furnace inspection. Everything from One Hour HVAC was smooth. Timely responses, provided a date and time I was good with. Mike arrived 15 minutes early and waited outside. He did a full inspection including a televised scope of the inside of furnace and vent, which I've never had performed before, at any price. He showed me all the good pints and any minimal concerns as well. He was courteous and professional and looked at attached humidifier at no additional charge. My furnace is only 2 years old so not much to do but clean. He also provided advice on my water heater, Very satisfied.

Will need a new furnace and a/c units evenetually....

The person was nice and everything but he didn't do anything beyond looking at the furnace. He said he couldn't look at certain things which was weird. Overall he was nice but the deal wasn't very helpful.

scheduling reached out to me before I had a chance to follow up with them..service was provided on time very customer oriented..advising me what needed to be done and recommended ways for me to extend the life of my furnace.

Our tech was very knowledgeable and professional but his LED camera was not working well and we had to set up a followup appointment to get a second opinion on our heat exchanger. The camera inspection clearly showed that our blower motor needed to be cleaned. That service was priced at $204. After that he suggested replacing our blower motor capacitor which would have been another $204. I was surprised that these services all somehow cost $204. All of this was suggested even though there was a question about a possible crack in the heat exchanger (the reason for the second visit). I was told that any work I paid for would be credited toward a new furnace but to me that is like trying to get the actual price of a new car when you trade in your old car. In addition there is no opportunity to compare prices. While as I mentioned our tech was a good guy I just feel like there is pressure to upsell put on these guys. I have had our furnace cleaned and checked many times and this time just felt different. Maybe it is more of a personal preference but I just don't care for this kind of approach.

I purchased an "Angie's Deal" for a furnace tune up for $49. It was listed as more extensive than most and they had good reviews so I bought it. I called for an appointment and the first one was 3 weeks later. I had a problem come up that week and had to reschedule. They were so booked(or I was low on the "deal" list), that I had to wait another few weeks. The service was confirmed that week and I asked for first A.M. service, instead of waiting for a 3 or 4 hour window. The serviceman called me early that morning and I was the first call. He arrived promptly and was friendly and courteous. He put on floor booties and we headed downstairs to the furnace. | |He started to look at the furnace, all the time listening to my questions while working. He was more thorough than most and removed the flame sensor and bar which most only cleaned with steel wool. He also used Turtle Wax spray as a protectorant I believe. Everything was going good and I asked him to look at the blower motor(which no one offered or did). He opened it up to check the capacitor and the condition of the blower motor and fan. He checked the capacitor and it read 1.6. He said it was the lowest reading he had every seen on a working capacitor and it would need a new one that would read (at least) 5.5. I said O.K. and he said it would be $200 without the "Home Protection Plan" or $170 with it. He stated it was $16.95 a month for cheaper prices for parts and calls along with an A/C inspection in Spring and another Furnace Tune-Up in Fall. The blower motor to clean was not also included in the visit and would be $200 to disconnect and clean. | We then talked about their "labeled brand" UV light used to destroy bacteria and sanitize. This was offered installed for $695. It's called the "OXYQUANTAM LED". We then talked about the thin replacement electrostatic air cleaner they call "MICROPOWER GUARD". A polarized Media Air Cleaner. This was offered installed for $ 700. If I purchased these two, they would also waive the fee for the capacitor and the Blower cleaning. I accepted and both of these units were installed. They both have indicator lights that they are on. He said to keep the infared light on " High" but I read medium was sufficient as it produces some Ozone and I could "Smell" it, not bad but different. It has been too soon to notice any definitve results. They both came with warranties, but the service technician stated that they cover them for "life". I have read that the UV bulbs can go out after 2 years but we will see. The filter also came with a few new filters. The service technician said each one is good for three months, vacuum it and then it is good for one more month. No other maintenance is required on the two units that are on constantly other then the electricity usage. | Time will tell, if we "feel" better and that the cost of the units proves beneficial to our health, our peace of mind and no breakdowns in equipment, and that the company will back their product with replacement and labor with a customer service smile should anything occur that needs their attention. The sale never ends with the end of the service call, it is just the beginning. I have 2 cats and allergies so I am looking forward to reap the rewards of health and cleaner and safe air with these new products. Please write with any questions. Team did a great job. Very thorough and provided very clear communication on the status of the furnace. Video and associated explanation was informative and provided reassurance of the condition of the coils.

It was fine. The "Big Deal" covered everything but I really didn't like the fact that the guy was trying to upsell me on everything and anything in this planet. I could have got it done for $49 or for $60 or $70 from anyone and I wouldn't have to deal with all this "buy this, buy that".

I got the $59 Angie's List Big Deal for an annual check-up and service for our boiler. The technician was on time, very professional and did a wonderful job. He even took the time to explain to me how the various parts of our boiler worked and what to watch for in terms of maintenance issues. All in all a great experience and I would not hesitate to use them again for any HVAC needs.

I hired One Hour Heating to tune-up the furnace at my mom's house. Sergio dd the requested tune-up & gave me an efficiency report on the unit, explaining the issues that he found & how to resolve them. He was very personable & professional. If I still have the house next year, I will definitely use One Hour again for both heating & air conditioning tune-ups.
