I called and made an appointment. Very professional on phone. North Town called the morning of the service and stated time of appointment. The technician showed up on time and upon arrival went right to work. Very neat and clean. Any questions or concerns I had about the furnace he clarified in a professional manner.

They did a great job on my washing machine. They were able to diagnose it and it turned out that they needed a special part so they had a specialist in my brand of machine come out right away and they only charged me for one visit and the repair which I thought was great and very nice on their part.

I was very happy with the work that they did. The rep was very courteous and looked at the washer for me when he was done working on the dishwasher for me.

Installation went as planned. Showed up on time, encountered no problems, left work area in good shape. Billed as estimated.

They were not flexible in schedule times, I asked them to come in the morning and they would come in the afternoon. They didn't do work for me. They could not guarantee me a morning appointment.

They cleaned my dryer and got it working properly. The washing machine was ready to be thrown out. The service man did not charge me anything for the washing machine. I ended up buying a new machine that day. I had an excellent experience with this company, from taking my call to servicing the call. I would highly recommend them.

Serviceman phoned first & arrived on time. He was pleasant/polite & knowledgeable. Completed job in a timely fashion.

Whole process went well. 1st visit was to diagnose the problem; 2nd visit installed new part. Serviceman was courteous and knowledgeable. Would definitely use North Town again.

Mike called in the morning to let me know when to expect him and called again when he was a few minutes away. He worked quickly and efficiently and he was thorough and knowledgeable.

I found North Town on Angie's List. I looked up appliance repair companies because my freezer was not working properly. My experience with them was outstanding. The receptionist and the dispatcher were very courteous and professional over the phone. The technician who came out the next day was very professional, understood the problem immediately and gave me an estimate. He didn't perform the work because the repair cost was very high and I decided I may as well replace it. He gave me a great suggestion for a "quick fix" that would get the freezer to run for a week or two. He also gave me coupons for future services. I should also add that North Town applies a 20% discount for Angie's List members. I would highly recommend this company to everyone.

THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF!!!! The work was done quickly, but the charge for services was preposterous. The service request told him what needed to be done. He looked at the oven and agreed with what I told him. He said he needed to go out to the truck to see if he had the part, and said he would come back and let me know the charge. When he said $355.00, my jaw dropped. I guess I just figured it would be around $200 for parts and service. That seemed reasonable. During the 12 minutes it took him to replace the part, I went on line and found AppliancePartsPros.com, which sells the part retail for $61.48. When I asked the North Town guy for a breakdown of the charge, he said it was a flat fee for everything and refused to give a break down. He was at my house for less than 1/2 hour. Thus, it was either a $580.00 per hour service call or a 400% markup on the part.

I called about a warranty repair on my Viking refrigerator. The first guy they sent damaged the wood panels and ended up making the problem worse. He left knowing that the problem wasn't resolved and he had no solution and no intention to follow-up. I called and asked that they send out another repairman and I only received more of the same. I've taken this matter to the manufacturer. This company is worthless and a big waste of time.

The installer was very good. He installed a newer circuit board than the one we had, but it did not have the exact same functions as the old one. We contacted the manufacturer who suggested that the board specified for the dishwasher be used. The installer returned and put in the older version at no charge.

It's fixed. They came soon after scheduling it and fixed it without a problem. Cleaned out the lint and fixed a part that had broken. They had the part handy.

I called North Town on a Thursday, and Dave came out Monday morning as scheduled. He arrived on time, quickly diagnosed a burned out igniter, and made the repair. He did a great job, and I will definitely call North Town again when one of my aging appliances gives out!

This has been a great experience. Called on Monday with problem, but due to my schedule we needed to push repairs until Wednesday. I was offered a morning appointment and was given a time frame 8-9am, and they would call around 7:30 to give a more approximate time frame. They called today at 7:23 and said they would be here around 8:00am; 7:56 pulled in driveway and began the service call. Dave was very polite, asked about the error messages and got right down to work. Explained repairs and possible situations. Cleaned up after himself. Very efficient and polite. Dave tested computer board, saw some potential problems with wiring and harness, informed me hinges need replacing; heat escaping can and will cause damage to mother board. Replaced the hinges and tested oven, everything seems to be in working order today, if problem arises in near future, I should call Dave and he will order replacement parts and setup installation.

I needed an estimate to replace the inside of my Dacor oven which was peeling very badly. North Town said for 109.00 dollars they will come an give an estimate. They arrived ON TIME, looked at the oven and informed my wife that the paint was fine - it was spilled cooked on food that was peeling. (My wife had let someone use the oven - my wife, evidently never causes spills!). The service guy REFUSED to charge anything and left my grateful wife a little embarrassed. Well, these people are amazing - honesty is one thing, but empathy and kindness is never expected. Everyone in Chicagoland should know terrific people these are- a real find. Bravo North Town!

I experienced a problem with my Viking gas range. My oven was not heating. I contacted North Town and was scheduled the next day! My technician Al called in the morning with time he would be at my home. He arrived promptly and repaired my oven on the spot! I was impressed at his knowledge of Viking appliances and professionalism. I would definitely use North Town in the future. I love the Angie's List discounts too.

The technician, Charlie, knew what was wrong right away. He had the part on the truck since he said it's a common problem with these ovens and had the repair done in a matter of minutes.

We called North Town because we were hearing a dripping noise in one of our furnaces. If you book the first appointment of the day, they will come between 8 and 9 in the morning, rather than give you a wide timeframe window. Rick was on time (even a bit early) and did a diagnostic check. When he couldn't hear the noise (of course) he did a full check of both furnaces to tell us they were in good shape. He recommended we try to diary the next time we hear the dripping noise (whether the furnace was running for a while, etc.) Rick followed up the next morning to check and see if everything was ok. He was very friendly, prompt and with the 20% Angie's List discount it was very reasonable to do a diagnostic check. I highly recommend North Town!

Great. Our oven was taking close to an hour to preheat. We called North Town and within a day they were able to send out two repairmen. Both were very nice and professional. They gave us the free estimate, we proceeded with the work to replace the oven igniter. They were done with both the estimate and repair in under an hour.

I thought they did a fantastic job. They came the next day, had the part I needed. They asked good questions over the phone to diagnose the issue and have it fixed right away.

Keith came in with a new part for the humidifier. He found that the wires were installed incorrectly, replaced the starter and replaced it under warranty.

North Town Home Services came promptly on Monday morning after our furnace conked out over the weekend. I was very grateful because this was in the coldest part of winter. The servicemen were professional and very neat. The work was done efficiently and their price was fine.
