tree service

I am a single senior just moved to the area having a backyard sorely neglected and overhanging limbs, including dead, a serious threat to my dogs and people alike. I contacted service provider and first one male, then two, met at my home prior hire. I had no reason to doubt I was meeting with company owners due portions of our conversation. First owner scheduled job mid afternoon, a few days out, knowing it was due to rain (told me so, but not to worry). Yes, it did rain, then pour, all very rushed and chaotic. I made known it was ok with me to continue job later, not hurry, at which time both owners verbally said to me they'd be happy to come back to finish up. On the spot I pointed out areas still needing trimming; both assured me no worry to come back and complete later. In the meantime both my yard and neighbor's yard badly damaged as ground soft and heavy equipment. When first owner arrived he handed me paper to sign. I understood it more or less a work order and signed it. The first owner quoted had me $800 for the job but was hesitant and unsure. Because doing a good and thorough job was so important to me, I offered my maximum budget of $1,000 to which he agreed (have text to prove). Again, the day of the job (March 27, 2020) rushed, raining then pouring, chaotic. I asked for more trimming and was told would be done on their return, for me to just let them know. So here's where I failed, like others, because good people trust others' words to be true and honest, too. I paid cash, $1,000 required, believing if, as two owners' said, after rain, they would come back, no problem. I do have signed receipt. Well, the tree areas I asked, on site, to be trimmed as they were dead limbs still endangering those in my yard in addition to a broken utility cable dangling in air, not that way prior; remained. No problem, I'll just call (in less than 24 hours) first owner and we can reschedule. First owner answered my call and agreed to view the property April 1, 2020. He did so and agreed dead limbs remained and should be removed adding, "I'll do my best but they won't like it." They? That's when I'm told he and other male not owners but workers while I was led to believe they were owners when telling me they'd come back to complete the job, no problem. Deception! Also, if I may add; my prior residence I had a lot of tree work done, other area and companies who always remained true to our agreement whether verbal or written. Always did I pay service provider in full at time of service and always they were obliging to return, if need be and if in reasonable time frame, so for this reason, too, I believe I was more easily conned by Rey's. When having tree trimming done, it's not uncommon to miss spots, especially while raining and all. In this case it's dead limbs threatening one's very life; however, I had even pointed this out but was refused being told they'd be happy to come back; raining and all; and I believed them! Do you see where this is going? April 2, 2020, I telephoned the other number on the business card expecting it to be the other male presenting himself as owner/partner. I asked the female who answered the phone to talk to Juan, as he had introduced himself. I was told there was no other Juan, that I was to talk to her, "the boss who writes the checks." The conversation was so intimidating, so disrespectful, so upsetting; she refused to authorize workers to return and make safe the yard where threatening dead limbs remain not caring that I even paid an extra $200.00 the agreement "maximum" property line trimming (a total of $1,000.00 paid and still my yard a provable safety hazard!). A more detailed description of this incident, with photos, I posted on their Facebook page [*** Link removed ***] No one seems to care as I've received no courtesy of reply. All I ask is they complete the job left undone, safety hazards still remaining and could be life threatening, and repair my neighbor's damaged lawn as well as my own which I believe can be done by hand with no out-of-pocket cost.
