Empire Today - Chicago

Empire was not the cheapest, however it worked for us. We found a good solid product that was in the middle. Our salesman was fine, but not all their sales reps are the best. Similar to many sales teams, they push what they want you to buy, just ask lots of questions. We had talked to other companies to compare. That was very helpful. We had Shane Shannon locally from Naperville and he was excellent. I also felt they contracted with good installers. These guys did a great job. I was concerned at first because Empire uses contractors. But, I didn't have any problems.

The claim is pending. Not satisfied with carpet choice. They plan to trade it out for us. Still waiting for the cost notification. // Update 10/5: They would not honor the contract.

Dealing with the rep was easy he provided the styles and colors we were looking for. The price and warranty were satisfying. The installers did a great job in a timely manner and cleaned up.

Much more affordable than big box retailers like Home Depot. Empire also also allows a down payment before and a final payment on the day of installation. Home Depot wants everything upfront.

Empire Today lacks terribly in customer service. The customer has to insist that the job is done as scheduled with the right amount of carpet that has been paid for in full. Buyer beware and do not waste your time with this company because they have no expertise in customer service.

The project was installed very well, there was a bit of a delay with scheduling.

So far so good I am still waiting for the blind to be installed

They are quick and pricing isn't bad. They will work with you to get to pricing that fits better with your budget.

Lots of back and forth between sales people and install people. Finished late and over budget. Quality of work once completed was good though.

I had hardwood installed in my kitchen to match my existing hardwood floors.The guys did a great job.. They were there when they said they would be and They were very professional and handled any issue or concern that was raised. The price was right on par with a quote I received from another contractor with no warranty, and the quality of the product was superb..thumbs all the way up for this company..

The installers were professional, knowledgeable and thorough, and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards and removing all prior materials from premise.

They came in, moved the furnitures, did the carpet, put everything back and they were out in no time. i was surprised at how fast they worked. The company called to give a time window of when they were coming. Maybe 1/2 hour before they can, they called again to let us know they were on their way. The sales person who had helped us in the selection of our order also called/texted to find out how things many times. great customer service from Empire.

Empire was the only one that promised install before Thanksgiving and they came through. Great installers, too. Very happy!

The installers were real professionals. They noted problems with our installation and refused to install a product that they knew I would not be satisfied with. I spent a little more than the original estimate, but I am very pleased with the results.

1900 sq feet installed in 8 hours.

The contractor didn't bring enough carpet. They left the bare stairs with nails sticking up fir a week. Scheduled to finish for a Saturday. We got a 8-6 window. The contractor show up at 7:15 PM!!! The carpet is nice at least.
