Green Attic Insulation

We purchased this assessment as a Big Deal. It was very easy to schedule the appointment and the technician came out on time (and had been willing to schedule the appointment on a Saturday, which we really appreciated). He set up the blower door and we went around as he took infared pictures of the whole house, showing them to us and explaining the various issues. We knew there would be some problems but we had no idea of the extent of the air leakage. This was very interesting and educational for us. We discussed various options and gave him a budget. We expected that we would receive some kind of written report of the problems he had found, in addition to his company's proposal. We heard nothing for several days and after we contacted him he did come back with a few options within our budget (as well as an option to really do it right that was over our budget) but no report of the energy assessment. This was disappointing as we had been hoping to actually have a report, but overall the experience of walking through the house with him as he did the testing told us pretty much what we needed to know.

Perfect except that we had some pipes not connected and insulation came through the vents. They cleaned up the house the same afternoon, but not the vents which ended up being a problem. Recognize they could not have anticipated that the pipes were not connected together well.

These guys did an outstanding job! They were punctual, professional, and polite. Also, it was obvious that they knew what they were doing. At the end of the job, we jointly did an inspection. I would recommend If you are looking for an trustworthy contractor to insulate your attic (and do it in a green way), I would strongly consider Andrei and his team.

Professional, covered shoes when he entered the house (always a plus). Explained the process as he was analyzing air leakage on house. The only major negative I have is that I was expecting a whole house audit to be just that. However, complete exterior walls were not checked. I have a 60-year-old house and feel that insulation is missing in places on the walls. Only the windows, doors and seams were measured for airflow. I would have liked the entire outside walls tested so I know if I need to remove some wall to add insulation. My entire house has vaulted ceilings so there was no attic to check. My house is pretty airtight at the seams that were tested. However, the analysis did point out a few weaknesses that need to be addressed. I would highly recommend this analysis and this provider. He was extremely nice and informative. Even though I didn't get the type of analysis I was expecting, I felt that the service was well worth the price I paid. Even if I had to pay full price, it would have been worth it.

Andrei knows his business well. We hired him to come do some of the work next month. He is particularly good at helping to work out how to use the energy tax credits to best advantage, so that I am getting important work done I may not have been able to do otherwise. Review is for the infrared and blower assessment, not the future work. He rescheduled once, and gave ample advance notice. I also had to reschedule once and he was very accommodating.

We used the Angie's List deal for $49 for the service. Because our house was larger than the square footage allowed on the deal, they extended the same discount to cover the entire house. That was wonderful. Andrei and his son arrived right on time.They set up and started their negative air flow. For our house it took about an hour. They went into each attic (our house has 4 of varying accessibilities), the basement, the crawl space and all rooms and took both photos and images of all walls. About a week later we were emailed a complete report showing the photo and the image of each area indicating if and where problems existed. They also gave us a quote to provide additional insulation in our major problem areas.

It went very well. Our attic was overtaken by squirrels and they really messd up the insulation. Green Attic Insulation Inc spent the whole day here and they worked very hard to get it cleaned up. They did as good as they could under the circumstances.

Andre's team was efficient and courteous. The price was reasonable and the quality of the work was great. I had no issues with our experience and would hire Gree Attic again. Our children's room was much warmer after the work was completed.

I purchased an attic insulation package discount but the actual quote for my home was much higher than I expected and I'm a pretty experienced construction estimator. 36 years! So, I kissed the $125 goodbye and moved on. Won't do it again! Once you purchase a "deal" you feel sucked in to move forward with the purchase. Who wants to lose money, after all. May work for some, but it was a bad experience for me.

Everything went according to plan. The guys showed up in the morning and went right to work. They even removed a birds nest from one of the roof vent fans (which was not working). After that they got the fan to working wonderfully. At the end of each day (two and a half total) they cleaned and vacuumed the working areas. I will probably have them come back and to the basement later on in the year.

I thought the service was very detailed and reliable. I am in the process of fixing the flaws they found. They intended for them to do all the repairs, but most of them I can do myself.I would call them for the repairs I cannot do.

I'm going to use more of Green Attic Insulation Inc's services in the next couple of weeks. He came out and did what they said they would. He did a good job and he was very professional. I have recommended them already. He was very thorough.

It was good, they did a real good job. They were prompt, polite, friendly, and they took care of everything we needed.

It went very well, Andrei diagnosed several air leaks in our townhome. His crew (Demetri and Mike) did a great job of sealing the leaks - they were very professional and courteous, took their shoes off and cleaned up after themselves. We had to reschedule some times around because he was very busy, but Andrei kept in contact with me and we worked it out. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.

This was a good use of my time. The survey was pretty quick and now I have the proof to present to the condo board of what is going on with my unit and the superstructure of the building.

Thermal scanning and pressure test of our house worked well. Most homes need some type of ventilation and I think our house is too airtight which resulted in the pressure testing equipment not reaching needed testing parameters. Suggestions and equipement were identified that will help with the airflow in the house.

Did the job and left the place clean.

Performed infrared testing throughout my house to give me an idea of where there is heat/cold leakages. Followed up with a thorough report along with recommendations for follow up.

He was friendly, punctual and clean. Not much more you can ask for.

They were incredible, great. I loved them.

The price was worth it. We got some insights where our home is lacking insulation.

Andrei and his crew, Dimitry and Matt , were fantastic. Andrei came out about a month earlier to evaluate our home for air leaks and insulation deficiencies. He utilized a blower test and a thermal camera. I was able to follow him around our home and he showed me everything. A few days later, he sent me a quote for insulating and repair of the deficiencies. Some of the repairs I was able to do myself, but the attic insulation and sealing was performed by Dimitry and Matt. The furniture and the room was first draped in plastic to keep thing dust free. They then spent all day in the attic looking for and sealing can lights, our whole house fan, any pipes and ventilation ducts from our HVAC that protruded through our second floor ceiling into the attic. They made sure all eve vents would not be plugged by the insulation by placing baffles and securing them. They built a plywood extension around the whole house fan, the attic entrance and a skylight so they could blow in the cellulose insulation to the proper R-value (we chose R-60 for insulation value and soundproofing). After this, they blew in cellulose via a hopper in the truck and a long hose that went through our attic access. When they were done, they showed me their work--it looked like a snow storm of denim in the attic. It was perfectly silent when I peered through the attic entrance! I have no doubt that they did a great job. Andrei emailed me a few days later as a followup. He said if there were any problems to give him a call. His service was excellent and I highly recommend him. It's tough to find an honest and hardworking contractor these days, but I think we found one in Andrei and his crew. Thanks Andrei!

The owner came to our house for an estimate. Everything was in writing and very clear. The crew was prompt and professional. They worked quickly and did a great job. They built a floor (yes, we had nothing but floor joists and no insulation at all) and insulated the attic door. When work was complete they walked us through everything that they had done. No corner left unturned. We were so happy with them that we discussed asking them back to insulate out outer walls.

Full review of the house, he was flexible on timing for the blower door around my child's nap. Only miss was they forgot to tell me to clean out my fireplace before the test.
