The heating guy came in to give my heating systems a 21-point check up. He explained everything he did and to my surprise, not a thing was wrong with my heating system after 12 years. He changed my filter and gave it a clean bill of health. The experience gave me a feeling of security that I would have no heating problems. So far this year, my assumption was correct.

The office did an excellent job of scheduling and keeping me advised on arrival time. They called immediately after the appointment to make sure all went well. The technican arrived on time, explained his services before and after the cleaning.

They called last minute (when they were already suppose to be here) to say they couldn't come - I was not happy so eventually they sent someone hours later & I was told by the technician that he doesn't do residential, only commercial but since I insisted that someone come out (since I had made a point of being here - even though I originallt had an appt) they sent him & it was far for him to travel to do this. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

The furnace checkup was performed in a timely and expeditious manner.

First tech was great but the next guy seemed like he was finding things so he could increase bill when he came out.

They were very nice and did exactly what they were paid to do in a clean, timely and organized manner. Explained everything in detail. I will use again for HVAC stuff

I had no issues with anything. The technician and company did everything as promised.

The guy who came out was very friendly (and when I later had a disagreement with his boss did all he could to try and fix the situation). And he was the first to change out a humidifier filter (which it looked like to him it hadn't been done in ages since it was calcified... yet I had the same company come out annually for 3 years since they had replaced the furnace, so not sure why it hadn't been done on any of those occasions). When I was told the cost of the new pad/filter I asked if this was a big mark-up because it was off the van and should I just go to a store and get it myself and I was told it wasn't. Well, when I looked online I saw I could get if for 90% less. That annoyed me and I felt that whether this misinformation was a mistake or on purpose, that since I had spent a great deal of money with this company (they replaced furnace and A/C 3 years earlier) that they should refund the difference. After many calls that were not returned (I was told I had to speak to a manager) I finally tracked down the person to talk to and was told that that was their cost and that was that. Plus I got the sense that they needed to mark things up enough so these $50 coupons weren't a total loss. I felt that wasn't my fault. We had an argument and exchanged some words and that was that. No longer will I be calling them for my business. I have since had another company come out to service my A/C and they were surprised that I would have been sold a unit within the past 3 years that used a coolant that would soon go off the market and thus rocket the costs for refilling it down the road.

I saw an Aprilaire humidifier on Angies List and called A Professional Heating and Air Conditioning. Kelly, the person who answered the phone, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She arranged an appointment for two days later at 9 AM. I called back to see about cleaning my furnace and she mentioned they had a special through Angies List which would save me $40. At 8:40 AM on the day of the appointment Kelly called and told me the tech was on the way. He (Kevin) arrived right at 9 AM. He was very professional and went right to work. When completed, he explained the new humidifier workings and what I should do to maintain it. In less than 2.5 hours the job was complete and the area was completely cleaned. I was very pleased with the service of both Kelly and Kevin and will use them again.

Overall, it was great! When I called, the person was very accommodating in finding a date and time good for me. The installer was friendly, very pleasant and didn't mind that my cat like to "supervise" any work done in the house. I am very, very pleased with both the product and the price. I've wanted a whole-house humidifier since I moved here (in 2012) and am very happy that I could get one for such a good price and without any hassle!

The technician was prompt and courteous. I'm not sure whether the work was performed well or not, but I trusted that it was because of the Angie?s List offer. As others have stated, he found a problem that supposedly needed to be fixed immediately (for me, it was replacing a part -- the ignitor switch? fuse?). He quoted me $300 for the replacement part and the labor. When I balked at the price, he countered that it would be better to replace the part now than have the furnace fail in the dead of winter and have to have an emergency repair and offered to knock $25 off the price. I agreed to have him perform the work, but felt uneasy about it. While he went out to his truck for the part, I looked it up online and found the average price was about $35. When he returned, I told him I wasn't sure about getting the work done right away and asked him how much of the quote was for the part. He said it was $100. When I told him I didn't want to get the work done because of the upsell, he said, "Hey, we've gotta make a living." I understand that, but I still felt unduly pressured. This was my first Big Deal purchase and it soured me on the program (luckily, I've since had a very good experience with another Big Deal provider for a different type of service). The service date is approximate; the work was performed about a year ago but I can't recall the specific date. BTW, my furnace made it through last winter without incident.

Prompt scheduling by the office after I purchased the special from Angie's List. Technician was on time, courteous and professional, and had a great personality and good people skills. Work completed promptly.

Everything turned out great. They arrived and did the work that they promised. It was a good price and they did a good job. I would recommend them.

They were very good and we would use them again. The furnace breaking had nothing to do with their inpection and was not something that would have come up on the inspection. They we able to fix it quickly and get our heat back on, which was great since the furnace broke on one of the coldest nights.

We purchased a deal for a furnace cleaning. The gentleman that come was very nice. We would use again.

When they came over to clean my unit, they said there was so much damage to my air conditioner, it wasn't worth cleaning, but needed replacing instead. We got a second opinion just to check from our insurance provider and they said the same thing. I did replace my unit, but I got it from another provider.

He did the installation under 1 hour

They were very professional and conscience of our budget. Not quite sure if I quoted the right price, it was a while ago. Gave us our thermostat for free. Not sure if that's common, but it made me feel better about spending so much money with them. It would've sucked to throw on a measly 60 bucks for something that I needed like a thermostat. It made me feel like they appreciated my business and I would definitely call them again in the future.

I called A-Professional because water was leaking from my a/c-furnace unit into the condo below. A-Professional sent out a technician immediately. (I had used them for general HVAC inspection in the past.) The tech diagnosed the problem as a bad compressor unit, and recommended replacement of the compressor (on the building roof) and coil (in the furnace). I agreed, and that same day, different techs arrived with the parts and replaced the system. The price of $3700 included a $500 Angles List discount. Although A Professional did the work promptly and the problem seems to have been fixed, two issues make me uncomfortable. First, although the initial diagnosis from the first tech was a bad compressor (making replacement of the whole system necessary), the tech who came back to install the coil said that the problem was a bad drainage pan under the coil. Now, it's entirely possible that both problems existed and I needed to replace the whole system in any event. But the differing diagnoses left me with the uneasy feeling that maybe I'd been taken for a ride. Second, the installation of the coil in the furnace unit could have been better. There are now large gaps in the sheet metal and between the humidifier unit and the furnace, such that I am losing a lot of airflow. (As a result, the utility closet holding the furnace unit is freezing cold; I wouldn't mind getting that cooling into the air ducts where it belongs!) I can get foil tape and putty from the hardware store and try to plug these up myself, but one would think that after paying top dollar -- $3700 is not cheap and reflects a substantial markup over the wholesale cost of the parts -- I wouldn't need a DIY project afterwards.

After the evaluation, when we disputed the price, the cleaner raised is voice & used profanity when we questioned the second raise in price. He was profoundly rude while I was trying to be professional. He then came up to me threateningly & got in my face. I told him to back away & then he asked me what I'd do about it & then chest-bumped me. I talked him out of house, while he was yelling the whole way. He was even badmouthing the owner of the property during the evaluation itself. We called the owner of the company & the owner actually backed up this miserable employee. Eventually the owner said he'd honor the original quote, even though he didn't really want to; we turned him down.
