Dennis was on time - he explained everything to me.

The service was just ok. The technician wanted to sell me a very expensive part that wasn't even broken. The part works perfectly fine.

I can't recommend this company. I brought two big deal coupons for $59 per to have my two units checked and cleaned for a total price of $118. The Big deal it turns out is nothing more than a charge for coming out to your premises. A lot of companies will do a free diagnostic check. The cleaning consisted of running a water from a hose over the two units and the checking of the unit amounted to checking the level of coolant in the two units. I knew the capacitor on one of the units needed to be replaced and I informed the repairman. He quoted me a price of $250 which I knew was too high based on having the capacitor replaced on the other unit two years prior.Prior to me okaying the work the repairman (I was still thinking of having some else do the work for less) replaced the capacitor. I decided not to ask him to remove the capacitor and I went ahead with the transaction. I paid a total of $368 for the services provided. I can't recommend this company because I know I could have gotten the same or better service for much less if I would have shopped around a little bit more as I did the first time my capacitor needed to be replaced on my other unit.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I wasn't planning on having my units cleaned until August but my furnace died on me. They deducted the Angie's List charges from the new furnace. They were good. They had it all done within 5 hours. Somebody came in and took a look at it and put the order in. Somebody else came in and took the old one all apart and hauled it out. Then somebody else came and put in the new one. They were very efficient, very clean and very quick. I don't know whether or not I got a good deal but it works.

The guy who came to my house gave me advice on how to keep the A/C clean and in good working condition. He explained every step of the inspection and cleaning process.

TERRIBLE! Did not clean A/C. Did not bring video as advertised. Tried to leave after 5 minutes. Very argumentative, combative and rude. Made three calls to very nice appointment person in home office to confirm exact price and details of service. Made appointment for 12-2 the next day. Everything was going great! BUUUT EVERTHING WENT WRONG WITH THE ACTUAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN... next day Alex-duh-tech called to request if he could arrive two hours early(45 minutes from the time of his call). I agreed to rearrange my schedule, but the best I could do was for 60 minutes from then. Alex decided to come 45 minutes anyway!!! And he was waiting at wrong house across street (dyslexic, too). Alex quickly hooked meter up to outdoor condenser and announced "everything was perfect" and started to leave! Did not inspect inner part of AC system! Did not clean anything. (Turns out he did not bring professional coil cleaner)! I insisted he check the inner part of the system in our basement. Again he very quickly pronounced, "everything is perfect". I then pointed out small water leak in AC and he started a series of odd, frequently changing, confused, rude and obstinate diagnosis (" I have been doing this for 30 years"). When I asked questions and suggested ideas, he grew irate. Incorrect diagnoses included: 1) "Fine, no problem, rain came down chimney" 2) "Must be a plugged condensate drain" (that I had just checked and cleaned) 3) Had no idea 4) "Must be plugged condensate drain" 5) "Must be plugged condensate drain" but louder 6) "Must be plugged condensate drain" 7) Insisted upon cutting into condensate line and confirmed IT WAS NOT PLUGGED CONDENSATE DRAIN! 6) Insisted it was "somehow I still think it is a plugged condensate drain!" 7) I then told him and showed him professional YouTube videos that it probably was a cracked drain pan under inner AC coil. 8) Tech insisted it "couldn't possibly be the problem". I asked him to make a written estimate on repair of cracked $30 drain pan. He packed up and started to leave. Did not make estimate. I called his home office. Office called him, he went outside, paced angrily up and down the sidewalk for 10 minutes and smoked a cigarette, flicked butt into yard. Came back in house and shouted "it would cost $1200" to replace $30 drain pain. Again refused to clean coils. Said he would come back tomorrow at "10ish" with video camera, after he went home to FIX HIS OWN NON-WORKING AC!!! This explains his rush to come early and not doing the work. I said "10ish is not a real appointment. What time do you want to be here?" He said "around 10ish give or take 20 minutes on either side". I said "be here at 10 o'clock sharp and be damned sure to call me if you are going to be more than 10 minutes early or late". Next day, he called at 8am saying he was on his way for 10 am appointment! Arrived at 9:43 (17 minutes early, with no call, no apology). But he did have video camera! He then roughly unpacked video camera and pronounced that he "didn't see anything, anything at all". I asked to look from below, he grunted and did half assed attempt. He used camera again from above and then said he saw a crack in back of drain pan. He then very, VERY briefly showed me tiny 2" screen of what looked like a wet spot or a crack in back of drain pan. Quickly packed camera and left. Still did not clean coils. Refused to give estimate on smaller job to replace $30 drain pan. ARRRRG!!!

Technican Dan arrived at appointed time and quickly determined what was wrong with my a/c. What impressed me most was his professionalism and courtesy and understanding. He clearly explained all options. I need a new a/c, but he did not pressure me or do a hard sell. He provided sound advice. He was honest.

It went fine they showed up and it is still working fine no surprises.

A Professional Heating & Cooling Inc were fine. They were good, their customer contact needs to be improved a little bit but other than that, they were fine.

The two-man crew arrived on time as promised. I live in a townhouse and you have to go through the living/dining area to get to the furnace utility room in the kitchen. They put on booties as soon as they arrived to protect my wood floors. They were friendly, courteous and professional. They did a complete inspection and thorough cleaning on my furnace, and I was completely satisfied. I was interested in getting a quote on a new furnace since mine is 15 years old and I wanted to get an idea of the cost involved. They called their office and someone followed up very quickly with a quote. I thought their pricing was good, but I was not ready to replace the furnace at this time. I would highly recommend this company. I got a good feeling of trust in working with them.

They were scheduled for April 30, but called on April 29 to ask if it was okay to come a day early. I was very glad they did and they showed up on time and Dennis was very professional.

They did a great job. They added us to their schdule to do the work. Did the work ahead of schdule. Since the work was done we haven't seen a leak. Very happy with the price and work done.

Serviceman was prompt and did an excellent job. This company cjecked many more things on my AC unit than other companies have in the past. Just performed the requested service and did not try to sell me anything.

It went fine. They were nice and the guy that came out was knowledgeable. He was efficient and prompt. He worked quickly and got it done. I had no complaints.

I would have appreciated the first heating contractor so much more if they would have just told us that the furnace was probably still under warranty. Then they could have said, but if not, here's what they could do and outlined the fees. However, the heating contractor kept telling us it would take a long time to do the job, require a lot of effort, and require two people to do the job. He told us it could take ten hours and then the primary exchanger could be damaged. So he strongly urged us to get a new one instead of a refurbished one. The job actually took an hour and a half to do. So please get a second opinion and weigh your options.

I thought they did a great job. I feel like I saved money with this deal. I would definitely use another deal in the future.

Dennis from A Professional Heating & Cooling was a very knowledgeable person and helped us with what was the best for us. The price was very reasonable and he is a very friendly person. I definitely recommend him and will use the company if we need again.

From the moment I called and spoke to Kelly, until the last good bye from Matt I was satisfied and happy that I had chosen A Professional to do the job for me. I have come in contact with a lot of companies that I feel needed additional training when it comes to customer satisfaction, but I am here to tell you A professional has all the other heating and cooling places beat hands down. I will be using A Professional again for my other properties. I was looking one day for a company to come out and certify my furnace I had remembered that Angie's list was the place to go. I searched and came across A professional and saw that they had a deal going on for what I thought was an inspection on the furnace which I quickly purchased. After I has purchased the service I called and spoke to a WONDERFUL lady named Kelly, she advised that what I had purchased was not an inspection but not to worry I won't lose any money I would just have to pay the remaining balance and everything would be ok (I was happy about that). Well after I had spoken to the so called plumber I had hired previously to do the inspection on my water heater he stated that he was unable to certify, so I called Kelly back and asked if the person coming to inspect he furnace be able to inspect the water heater as well. Kelly explained to me that her technician will also be able to certify my water heater all in the same visit and gave me the best price, I was overjoyed she had made me so happy that I has chosen their company. After the work was finished Matt took the time out and explained everything to me about my water heater, furnace, and air conditioner which was also great. Needless to say I will be purchasing a new furnace and air conditioner from A Professional! Thank you Angie's List and Thank you A Professional because you are in-fact A PROFESSIONAL!

He started with our concern first and then moved to other parts of the inspection deal. He was thorough and engaging. He did not try to scare us into doing work with him, no pressure tactics. Talked us through options, giving us the choice. Since the other part was clearly unexpected, he worked with us on the pricing. I am looking forward to doing future work with this company.

I paid almost $120 for something I could have done myself. I clean both units more thoroughly at least twice a year with a vacuum cleaner. What a waste of money and time. And I had to look at his butt crack the whole time he was sitting on the floor working with his little brush. If I could have gotten a refund, I would have. . I'm still trying to figure out what I paid $120 for because he sure didn't do much. I could have taken a little brush and cleaned the heating elements myself and saved $120. Overall, I would never hire this company again. I was disgusted that I bought this special deal. I'm not sure of the exact date when the "cleaning" was done.

They came out for the work and informed me that there was a crack in my furnace. I had a few other companies come out and some confirmed what they said, other companies said there was no crack. He was a nice enough person, but I'm not sure about what he said about my furnace.
